My original reservation was to pick up in White Stone, Va, but I learned the day before, that my reservation had been changed from a one-way (pick up in White Stone; drop off in Fredericksburg 2 days later) to a three-hour local use rental. Have the key available when you are signed up for pickup 24/7. Because when we arrived. No key was available we had to travel 1 hour the next day to pickup the key and No apology or responsibility was extended.JOYCE E.

Windshield was filthy. Guess what? NO washer fluid. So bad I had to stop at the closest station to clean it. The truck had 9k miles, but the steering wheel is at 10oclock while driving straight and it's all over the road. Drop off location had NO parking for the truck when I dropped off. I had to leave it in the drive. Overall the truck got the work done that I needed, but I'm a little sore about the ragged steering and the fact that my pickup location was moved and I was not notified. The only way I found out is the guy who revived the reservation called to tell me he was an hour away from me! Uhaul Gave a 30 mile â€œcreditâ€.JEFFREYWILLIAM C.
The problems with phone messaging lead to unbelievable frustration and anxiety. This communication was a total failure. The total expense was more than I had anticipated even though I had gone in a couple of days prior to find out what I needed to do and the anticipated cost. I must not have asked correct questions and/or misinterpreted statements. I would recommend U Haul a future customer, but I would make the prospective customer aware of the pitfalls that I facedâ€¦need to be technology savy with a phone. The one positive thing I can say is the15' truck handled very well when driving it. Reminded me of hauling a load of grain for sale in a one ton farm truck. I-haul was automatic and I did NOT need to shift gears.LOUISAWALLACE H.

It took over an hour for me to check in to receive the Uhaul. I was told after sitting in the parking lot that it was because the previous customer returned it late. It would have been good customer service if I had received a call saying that everything was running behind prior to me waiting. Also I was on hold for over forty minutes and no one ever answered the phone. Other than that the truck was clean and ran well.Aiyanna K.

Century Motors experience was excellent. I am renting again on the 29th from Century Motors. Warsaw, Va. Uhaul is very bad. I had the original reservation at Warsaw because it is closer to where I live. When i went there on my reserved day, the place was not open. I waited over an hour and no one showed up. I called the national number and you changed the reservation to Century Motors in Tappahannock. Tappahannock location is excelletn.BARBARAMATTHEWS H.

I totally disagree to being charged an additional $59 for a one day local rental. The truck did not need to be cleaned out, yet I was charged $25 for a cleaning fee. Ridiculous!! The additional charges are being disputed.Donna C.
After hours so I had no contact with rep at this site. Kind of a small lot but had 2 entrances so it was essentially similar to a pull through. My plans changed mid trip and U-Haul rep quoted me 'hundreds of dollars' to switch the drop off location about 60 miles. That's without even asking me where I wanted to switch to. So I had to drive an hour out and an hour back. The thing is it probably would have been to U-Haul's advantage to drop it off at my new location. They were just very inflexible.Hyrum L.
Inform customer of gas per gallon rate....I forgot to add gas charged me for 4 gallons at $3.50. At time gas currently was 2.09.... My mistake your gain. Other than that renting was a piece of cake.Audrey A.

The gentleman at Century was very kind friendly and professional however I had rented a 26' truck only to get a call late Friday telling me that he only had a 20' truck because the 26' didn't get brought back so this not only cost me Additional money but also time because what would have taken one trip now is going to take two.and to find this out the day of our planned move it made it a lot on everyone involved.Debbie F.

Did not have enough signal to go through phone steps. Took around 20 minutes to upload photos of license. Was told that we had the truck through Thursday but when dropped off was told that I had a late fee. The drop off location said that they had seen the same information but was now also told that we owed the fee. took around an hour to finally check in the truck. Told the regional manager to take care of the fee or we would never use uhaul again. She was not willing to help.Jake A.
