When I arrived to drop truck off I was informed that I owed 129 for fuel usage, I informed her that there were no extra charges as I was within the km I was allowed and the tank was at 1/2 tank as I had received it. The lady called dispatch as was told that I needed to fill tank to 3/4 according to what was reported on pick up, I showed her my check in agreement and that tank was recorded at 1/2 on my pick up receipt, she was able to get this corrected and I carried on a happy camper thanks to her hard work.Kenneth K.

Make sure no one sends out truck with bald tires, truck full of dog fur (allergies ) and garbage inside the cab . Wasn't cleaned at all ! Stunk like cigarette . Even had to help poor lady bring blankets and dolly that where left in truck in cause her staff â€œforgot to â€œ and not sending out truck that the engine is about to blow up during fire season . That's dangerous . They should Take the truck for test drive 15 min test drive to assess truck before being put back on the lot . . My truck was steering right and had to steer slightly left cause alignment is off . I ALMOST GOT A TICKET FROM CVSE (commercial vechial safety enforcement ) for bald tires and truck steering funny) . That was super dangerous while towing my car behind and having a 4 year old in . Deff would recommended driving force or budget rentals before uhaul!Bruce H.

U-Haul is being ran out of a convenience store. Not a big deal but there was only one employee and several customers had come in looking to buy lotto tickets and other things which made wait times for myself and the other customers longer due to the process of returning the uhaul in person.JOHN T.
Staff are unsure about how to operate / interact with the U-Haul "program", so that was disconcerting. I suggest investing a little more in your orientation process, but it all worked out in the end. Also, you have gaps in your trailer inspection / maintenance process - the brake fluid was entirely empty and a couple of lights were out. That's should not be the responsibility of the customer to repair, and the vendor said they don't do any of that, so.....Rick W.

Clerk who rented trailer was good and knew what to do. Returning it was very u pleasant experience. Firstly had difficulty in finding contract. When she did find it wanted to charge me a late fee for not having it back by 7:55am. Had a hard job explaining that that was when I picked up trailer, and in fact was returning it an hour early. Provide winter tires and tire chains for winter driving conditions. We had over six inches of snow and there's no tools or tire chains in the rented truck. Otherwise it was a good experience. We've used uhaul before but not in the winter.eva F.
For two days we tried to book on the website, and it was impossible. I've never negotiated a website as difficult obstinant and unhelpful as the U-Haul website. It was only by happenstance that we were able to find the phone number of the location and call them directly. I've never done business with a company so difficult to get a hold of.Dan K.

Provide training to employees about services and equipment so that they are able to assist with hooking up tow trailers and inspection or truck etc. This should not be the customers responsibility when getting the equipment and when dropping the equipment offâ€” it should not be the responsibility of the customer to do the employees job. Even though we had booked a reservation well ahead of time, it was never guaranteed as to where we could pick the equipment up until the day before which is not very reassuring for customers considering moving is already a stressful time. We had also rented a utility dolly which was not provided in store. There were no utility dolly's available. This location also did not allow take a box leave a box even though the debit credit machine said it offered the service, that seems like false advertising. When returning the equipment, the self return process was ridiculous and unsafe in the pitch black backing up into a narrow area with no adequate lighting. Make it easier for customers who pay a fair amount to return the equipment. It is not right to charge a customer $20 to do the employees job of returning equipment if the customer did not choose to use their mobile device. The only helpful part was that the phone staff and email support did try to help mitigate these issues a bit.Gabe C.

When someone books 3 weeks in advance and you say something will be there at the time requested, make sure it happens. I booked it for 8:00am and the day before was told it wouldn't be ready until 3:45. I had plans 3-4 weeks in advance, this shouldn't be an issue. Also not sure why it costs so much more to rent something in one city and drop it off in another? Doesn't make sense that it's cheaper to rent it in one city, drag it all over the province and drop it off at the same location instead of renting it in the city it's needed.Derek H.

Staff needs better training - I stood at the counter for over 30 minutes while they sat at the computer looking confused (the return was the same). The online check-in was of absolutely no value. Uhaul also needs a better reservation system. I reserved a trailer online and the guy just ahead of me got the LAST ONE. I had to come back the next day after he returned it. Something is broken when I can reserve something that's not actually there, and not find out until I go to pick it up. This is not the first time this has happened to me. Very frustrating, and I had to rearrange my moving schedule.Mike H.

The trailer was dirty inside and needed to be swept out. The staff at this location could use additional training as both of the women who handled my rental had difficulties using the online booking system. I also had to wait several times while they stepped away to assist Handi Mart customers (mostly purchasing Lotto tickets) - there is even a sign indicating that U-Haul customers are secondary priority. Aside from that, the trailer was in good condition and did the job well.Mike H.

After arriving 3 hours early, noon, and it wasn't due till 3:15 pm, waited an hour and a half while the lady was trying to rent a trailer out, someone else came in and wanted to just leave the trailer and the paper work. She said sure. So I asked if I could do that also. She said yes. I unhitched and she took part of the papers and handed me back some and I left. Then received a text at 3:30 saying I would owe 20 if I didn't return it soon. Got to my destination and called them. After going through 3 people and 1 disconnection they said the lady at drop off couldn't get into the program and they would try to enter it tomorrow. Next day, got a phone call asking why we hadn't dropped it off yet...arlene P.

Everything was done to ensure the hand in went smoothly especially as there was a problem with the computer at the time. My driver was surprised at the location as the street started some distance away, went parallel to the main road and then crossed it. A map of the location with the paperwork would have been very helpful. I was very satisfied with both the pick up and return venues for U-Haul.IMELDA C.
Took the lady over 45 minutes to do the paperwork, we had to run back and forth and find trailers for her! And when we were finally finished she told us she didn't have any adaptors for plugs 5 pin to 7 pin (standard) so after 45 of waiting for paperwork we then had to run all the way downtown to purchase a adapter. Lastly I rented the Uhaul for 11:30 didn't get out of the office with trailer loaded (which only took us 5 minutes) till 12:30! Then she told us it has to be back by 3:45 because they stop doing Uhaul at 4! I didn't care because we kept the trailer for as long as we needed which was longer then the time she said (we should have been able to keep it for at-least 6 hours) over all was a very unorganized frustrating setup.
