This was the WORST experience I have ever had renting truck to move. The representative at Cig 4 Less KNEW there was a problem with the trucks gas hose. When I picked up the truck the gas cap was opened and he said to me when checking fuel amount , â€œI hope no one has stolen the gas out.â€ However we checked and gas tank was full so I assumed gas cap must've just been left opened by accident. The trucks sit in the opened parking lot of his cigarette shop. Meanwhile, when getting ready to return the truck I go to get gas and when going to pump ALL the gas went straight to the ground. I called Cigs 4 Less and same inpatient/rude man ask, â€œwhat's wrong with you, you don't know how to pump gas.â€ I told him, â€œyes I have pumped gas for at least 30 years.â€ I took truck to the store to see if he would assist me. He came out rude looked under truck and says, â€œthe hose is looseâ€ accusing me of this. I had 2 witnesses with me. He ended up saying he put I. 8 gallons of gas and I was charged $41.61. HIGHWAY ROBBERY. I tried to put the gas in asked him to accompany me to see me attempt to put gas in which would have been at the MOST $24 bucks. Gas in the area is $2.95 per gallon, the truck does/did NOT say needs Premium. I now truly believe he may have done this to not ONLY myself and this may be how he gets extra money. His reaction was too Over the Top. I will NEVER recommend to a friend. Not even a foe. I took pictures and have video. Wish that I could upload them here.Lucinda JD C.

This was supposed to be contactless but the dealer said it doesn't work. So not only did I have to go inside a cigarette store, but I had to deal with a very inept man. He could not spell and mixed up his numbers horribly. When checking the mileage on the truck, he grabbed my phone and started hitting accept! The mileage on the phone check in and the mileage on the truck did not match. When I returned the truck, he tried to charge me the difference which was DOUBLE the miles I drove. When I tried to explain that the mileage upon check in was incorrect he refused to listen to me. I caused such a scene that he finally threw some cash back at me for the mileage difference. Find qualified representatives to manage operations. The man I picked up from was rude and didn't understand that I had already reserved the truck. In my opinion he shouldn't be renting out the UHaul equipment. Since I already had it reserved I shouldn't have needed a new contract. This person at the cigs for less, that was there at 7 am on Saturday august 29 th 2020 felt off to me I felt like he was trying to scam me or something. It's located in a liquor store. I would ask the U-Haul have it's own location. But the family was friendly, and very helpful.marquessa F.
Make sure that the manager at this location is well versed on the U-Haul contract before he is allowed to help customers. When I was given the keys to the truck, the truck had just below 3/4 tank of gas. I only used about 1/16 th of gas (one tick mark on the gas scale). When I returned the truck, the gas level was still above 5/8 of a tank just below 3/4 of a tank. According to the contract, I was prepared to pay $5.25 per gallon convencience fee for the estimaded fuel i did not replace. Instead, the owner of the cigarette shop was rude and wanted to charge me $90 dollars for gas. When I asked him why he was charging me so much he said he would lower it to $31 which still did not make any sense because that would pay for an entire tank of gas! I went to the nearest gas station and pumped a little bit of gas to bring it back with more gas than the truck had when I first picked it up. Definitely did not cost me $90 to replenish about 1/16th of gas. I came back so he could proceed with closing out of the rental. He was angry and being rude to me and trying to rush by using the UHaul app on his phone to finish the rental receipt. After he was done, I put my copy of my rental agreement in front of him and read it out loud to him ...Agree to pay a $5.25 per gallon convenience fee for the estimated fuel I do not replace. If returned with less than 1/4 tank, I agree to also pay a $30 service fee". I told him he was wrong to try to charge me $90 in the first place and that he should read and know the contract. I will never be coming back to this location and I do not recommend that anyone comes to this location. He was very unprofessional and was trying to cheat me out of my money.Brenda C.

I went in for a 10' truck which they had, I drove off and immediately came back to return it the brakes weren't working properly. The guy there tested the truck and confirmed that it wasn't breaking properly. So went back in and offered me the 15' truck end up paying more for space I didn't need and of course got a truck that kills more gas....Marco L.

The uhaul has roaches in the back. When we came to return the uhaul the next day, the man running the operation made us wait for him to finish ringing up other customers. ( part of his convient store) then we had to wait for him to show another customer their uhaul. And then after 30 minutes went by we were 13 minutes after our return time. In which he then notified us we would be charged another full day. Never would I ever rent from this uhaul location again.Kendra M.

When I hand someone my driver's license I want to be able to keep an eye on it, not have it hidden behind a counter where I cannot see if it is being copied or the magnetic strip information being read. The truck had someone's t-shirt left hanging behind the seat and used tissue paper in the cup holder. An unopened bottle of water was also in the cup holder but I wasn't told if it was a courtesy gift for me so I did not use it.JONATHAN K.

We were greeted and helped right away. The two different gentlemen that helped us where really great. Our problem was when we checked our credit card and U-haul had charged us for two different vehicles on the same day. We had previously rented a U-haul vehicle at this location and had to immediately return it. They gave us a receipt with a $0 charge which was great and what we expected since we had to go to a different location and rent a different truck. Unfortunately, we still were billed $214.14 for a vehicle we had to return. We need this to be returned please. We have the receipt and everything so we aren't sure why U-haul is charging us this amount.Blanca V.
