Some people shouldn’t be vendors! The owner of Citgo was not on time to give me the keys to the equipment and he was very rude! I’ll never go back to that location again! Uhaul customer service was great, it’s just the vendor he sucked!

The staff at the CITGO were not prepared. They somehow canceled my truck then gave me the keys to a truck that hadn’t even been checked in to that location. The truck was a complete mess both in the cab and the back.

Local field office for this location “does not take calls to confirm pickups until 9 AM,” as confirmed by UHAUL customer service. So if you make a reservation to pick up at 8 AM like I did then you’re just “shit out of luck” as the employee at this friendly neighborhood dealer puts it. Even with visible confirmation on my phone and the keys to the UHAUL sitting right on the counter the Citgo employee had me wait for the local field office to wake up 9 AM. -5 stars. ESH.

I discovered that the amount of gas in the car was not sufficient for more than 9 miles, and I had to put in an amount of gas to get my house. Upon returning, I discovered that I had to put in another amount of gas because the fuel indicator had an issue. Surprisingly, three fuel-filling transactions were deducted from my debit card, not two. One was repeated, with a value of $9. The strangest thing is that I discovered that about $69 was debited from my account as well, and instead of paying $29.29 (as you announced), I paid about $95 to move a sofa and chair that cost $100!!!!

Had to use this location after I was 20 min. late for a pick up after hours caused a cancellation. That needs to change before a Cxl occurs. A text, phone call, something or at least an hour after scheduled time would be practical. The Citgo location had no one on-site initially that new how to check in UHaul customers to get the rentals. The location is a busy gas station that takes way too long to service UHaul customers.

Picked up the truck with 3/8 of a tank of gas. Required us to fill the tank completely up on its return instead of getting it back to the 3/8 level.

Location did not have the reserved furniture pads. Told me that I would have to call and go to another location to get them. Was not willing to go to any effort to correct the problem. Truck cab had soda can(s) under the seat and cigarette butt(s) in the floorboard. Cargo area required removal of light debris (coat hangers, etc,) and a full sweep-out before use. Absolutely no instructions were provided regarding truck check-out, use, and return.

My whole experience with uhaul was extremely unacceptable. They insisted they didn’t have the truck I reserved even though 2 were sitting right there. The only other truck there was a much bigger truck. I took the bigger one and had to pay the difference. Immediately leaving there I had to stop at an actual uhaul store to get it looked at because it was driving awful. The truck had no oil in it. They put oil in it and suggested I call roadside service to have it looked at. We had to wait a few hours for them. Then I was given an auto transport for free. When we went to pick it up it was not free. The morning person at corporate decided to not show up for work that day so I had to wait for 2 hours for the next person to come in. Turns out someone who I had no dealings with took it upon themselves to change the price. Finally made it to my destination and the movers that were hired through uhaul kept putting me off so I had to find a different moving company to help. AWFUL!!!!!! I will never use uhaul again

I checked the truck back in with the correct amount of gas and 12 hours early. Attendant on duty did not check the equipment back in and was sent an email the next day stating I never returned the vehicle. I drove back to location and he said he was too busy to do it and would get to it. Had to call 800 number to contact him and get him to finally check it in.

I went for U-Haul in auburn, AL. They said no vehicle at that place. So they booked from nearby place for 5 hour. I went the near by place. I told them that I want to return it after 8 hour. They said it will cost extra day. I agreed because i had no other choice. I returned the vehicle in the same day evening. However, in the receipt it says, i returned next day and charged me for two day. My question is why they charged me even if i wanted it to return in the same day???I used uhaul many times. This is the first time I am not full satisfied with the behave.

I brought the truck back with more fuel in it than when I picked it up but was still charged for fuel. Was showing 99 miles to empty when I picked it up and had 115 Miles to empty when dropped off. Was also charged for an extra day without any explanation. I was a little late because of an accident on the interstate near Montgomery. But when I asked the clerk (who was talking to the manager on the phone) he said I was good to go. No explanation, no indication of any extra charges. Just ticked me off that I was charged extra when I did my part in taking care of the truck and my obligation.

The person was not there at time of pickup. We had to speak to him over the phone in the gas station. No instructions were given nor an inspection. Some guy working at the gas station handed my husband the key and explained he didn’t know what else to do. Will not go back nor recommend Uhual.

I called this pick up site the day prior and was told that they would be open at 7am for my pick up. I was supposed to have the 24/7 pickup service. The site did not open till 9:15am. I called the 800 uhaul number and there was nothing they could do except say they were giving me a $50 credit on my rental…which did not even get credited. I waited at this location for over 2 hours trying to pick up our rental. Completely unacceptable and extremely poor service. Very disappointed.

Make sure you tell them. That the gas hand either doesn’t work or something is wrong with it. We didn’t even go 10 miles in the truck and was almost charged $100

Uhaul told me to deliver truck to another address, happened to call this place and he helped me immediately. We drove a extra hour to deliver first to the wrong address, just found this place and they helped us shortly.

A young man named Tracy drove the truck around a tight corner for me and pushed a U-Haul trailer out of the way with the bumper in order to make it past a concrete barrier joking about how sometimes you just have to do that. The original drop off location had no room for the truck and I was told to proceed to an overflow parking area. There was no one at that location so I went to a nearby Citco gas station having a U-Haul drop off and the lady there was excellent. She was the only bright spot in the drop off experience.

The UHAUL technology made the check-in process extremely frustrating. The person checking me in at the location was so nice and was doing all she could, but the actual uhaul website for picking up my truck kept glitching and wouldn't let her submit my license. We ended up being there over an hour because it wouldn't let us proceed. I tried to call uhaul, and was on hold for 45 minutes by which time we got it figured out. I will not be using uhaul again if I can avoid it. Please fix this issue.

Be careful when you reserve a week early and then UHaul changes your pick up location to a different city and your time the night before your set reservation and does not call you the day before, like UHaul said they will before 6pm. Be sure you call and talk to someone on phone before not just using online reservation. Was not very organized on where trucks were located for my set reservation since the set location was out of trucks.

I was told I had to park and unhitch the trailer in a space myself and then park the truck. Then they almost charged me for another day because they said I was late by the time I parked everything myself. Also the truck gas wasn't quite on half when I got it (which I showed them a picture of it) and I didn't quite hit half when I put gas in it so they charged me for that even though I dropped it off as full as I received it

Do not send people to a area where no 1 is there & then send them somewhere else & charge them for being over the mileage when it’s your fault you sent them to a deserted place to return the uhaul in the beginning!!

By far the worst experience I’ve ever had. When I arrived to pick up the Uhaul, the cashier handed me his cell phone to talk to someone else about my reservation because he didn’t know what to do. When I talked to the manager he hung up in my face after being completely unprofessional and rude- moments later he called the cashier back and the cashier then handed me keys and did not escort me out to the Uhaul. When I asked which one was I getting he said he didn’t know so I had to walk around the parking lot to find the Uhaul myself with no initial walk through. It was by far THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

I had bought gas from this location and ended up buying a little more as it was just under 3/4. Which was a tad lower than I meant for it to be. But he tried to say it was at a half and wanted me to put in $5.00 more which would have been full. I took it at 3/4 when I picked it up. I put in just over $3.00 which put it up almost to 7/8. I guess it helps his business as it is in his gas station. Not the cleanest nicest location. But good hours still would not want to go back there.

It was difficult to find a place to return U Haul especially with it being a 26 foot truck. The lady that assisted us with the return was very nice and helpful. The location was overall clean. The reason I rated low on inviting was due to difficulty in finding place to park

I get there and first and foremost. The process of me getting the truck was a guy having to call another guy about me getting the truck. After that I get the keys and the truck doesn’t start and then they had to jump the truck with another truck. The truck finally jumps and as I was leaving the truck didn’t start back up. So then we had to call the guy again and then he finally gets me a truck that works. It took about 2 hours for me to leave I was behind my schedule. I tried to contact uhaul during but couldn’t get a person on the phone after an hour and contacted thru chat trying to get my rate reduced and still no luck.

First off, the reservation started in Columbus GA, where we waited an hour and the employees said the person wasn’t back yet and made us wait with no solution. They were it zero help. So my husband had to ask for a solution. We then had to drive 40 minutes out of the way and then back to go pick up another one. We were overcharged and the one we ended up with was 6 feet shorter. We were told we would received two credits for our trouble. Only received one. Picked the second uhaul up in the ghetto and she couldn’t even tell us what we were going to be charged. An absolute nightmare and still no full resolution. Y’all need to have a plan in place when people don’t bring back equipment on time because the women in Columbus GA were fully prepared for us to wait all day for them to get back, just so they didn’t have to deal with it. Absolutely absurd poor customer service. When people are moving, they’re already stressed out. Making matters worse for them, isn’t a good business practice. We will never use uhaul again
