The drop off location is an abandoned motel. Nobody there to help check in the truck. It was convenient to check in via the app, and it seems to be the only way to do so. Next time, I would pick a business with staff onsite during regular business hours. We left a comment on the app about the traction control warning. We have no idea if it will be addressed before the next person rents the truck.

The person working there made me get the appliance dolly out of the U-Haul and return it to the office. I went into the "office" and it was just an old, run-down hotel lobby that smelled like cigarettes

This is by far the BEST uhaul experience I have had. Past experiences made me hesitant but today was wonderful! Excellent transaction process, great customer service & overall positive experience! Id definitely recommend this location

I would not use this drop location again. No one was there or answered phone calls to help me for over 15 minutes. Waited in my vehicle until representative returned. Once I checked in I was told where to park the trailer and unhitch it my self which was back behind a deserted motel.

Our church is in need of reliable transportation, for moving food orders from a drop-off point to our building. These items are critical for our monthly food giveaway ministry events. This U-Haul location is our ideal place of support for this requirement. They've always been there for us, beginning in December 2020. Our partnership with this U-Haul agency has made this outreach to our community successful. The staff at this location are the best!!! I'd sure recommend them to anyone.

There was no body there! I called the main office and was told the place was closed! So I dropped it off!

The rental process was straightforward. Although the owner was very picky about where to park the dolly, this wasn’t the biggest issue. When I needed an adapter to hook up my truck he charged me $20 for one (they only go for $8). Then when I tried to pay for it he told me he would only take cash for it, which i found kinda suspicious. So I was forced to use the atm in the building which charges a fee that he also makes money from. Just seems like a cash grab location overall.

Close this location down completely. Very unprofessional I reserved online and was quoted one price and upon picking up after leaving I noticed the price had changed drastically, so I called no answer, I then call the U-Haul number that I been speaking to for the last few days about the sudden change and the instantly reimburse me however, the man from pick up, went back in and changed the total back to the price he said not the price for my reservation. He’s a scammer and an all out crook. I will be doing a complaint with corporate. Myself and husband was treated so poorly he didn’t want to show us how to use the tow trailer to the point it was by God’s grace we made to our destination. While driving someone got our attention to tell us our wheels was not in the straps at all, how did the not come off I truly believe God was with us Thanks to some stranger they put the van on the tow trailer correctly. I’m truly hurt how we were treated and charged more than I was supposed to be charged I will be disputing the transaction with my bank.

The U-Haul staff here Always go the extra distance to make sure my truck rental needs are met. This particular U-Haul terminal is the location of my choice, for any rental activities. I'm sure many other U-Haul businesses in Columbia, TN are just fine. But the level of fine customer support at the store here is, in my opinion, second to none. The businesses' hours are quite supportive, and their location is very nearby to my residence. I'd certainly recommend this U-Haul above any other store I've worked with locally.

It's in a rundown hotel

No staff were present in the lobby at the scheduled time. I had to wait 15 minutes before a staff member arrived. They refused to let me schedule another drop-off location and forced me to say I would return the vehicle there by beating their chest and saying that "it's my u-haul, mine, no one else's". I ended up taking it to another location to return it, as I had wanted to, and paid the additional fee since I didn't want to encounter that poor level of customer service again.

First, the site where this rental was located is a run down motel. The truck was located around abandoned cars and trash. The owner/manager never got out from behind the counter to assist me. He pointed to the truck and handed me the keys. Second the truck itself looked abandoned too. There was electrical tape and wood screws to hold the front turn signal lamp on. There is a chip in the windshield right in the line of vision ( this is illegal). The drivers door would not shut unless you slammed it. Finally, the truck would shake when driving on 40 miles per hour. This was by far the worst experience I have had in renting a vehicle.

This location was a in a super sketchy run down hotel that should’ve been condemned years ago. I had to bang on the locked lobby door to wake someone up to process my rental. Once rented, they told me where it was, on the other side of the no tell-mo-tel. I had to go find it, and hook it up myself. I had to do a video walk around because they didn’t bother to one. When I brought it back, the “operators” of the business were laying on the couches in the lobby, and waved me off when I came in to check it back in. Very poor customer service, and it surprises me that U-Haul would allow this to be the face of their brand. I will be renting from another company from here on out. I may need a tetanus shot after stepping foot on this property.

It was in an old motel and they were limited to just vehicles and no accessories. Car was coated in bird feces and I had to wash the windshield.

Please review my charges and miles driven. The drop off location was an extended distance and after running into multiple issues, it resulted in the unit being returned "late". I would appreciate any consideration to reimburse the extra entire day charged for the move. Thanks.

The cargo van was not clean. The back had leaves and dirt and the front passenger cab was dirty and mud on the floor. The office smelled bad. Not a good experience.

Of all the U-Haul agencies in Columbia, TN... This one on Nashville Highway is my most favorite. The staff at this location are very caring, professional, and friendly toward their customers. I always feel our church's needs are important to the employees here, and they really go out of their way to make sure we have the equipment we need - when we need it. Their hours and location are Super convenient to our needs. I'd give this business 5-Stars, and recommend them to anyone.

Clerk was not friendly, did not help connect trailer to my vehicle, just came out to ensure I had done it correctly. Trailer had damage and wasn’t clean inside. I had reserved 12 moving blankets but received ZERO.

Truck was old and dirty inside and out. Truck also had less than half a tank. If I was going for a longer period of time I would’ve had to fill up very quickly. Will not be using this location or U-Haul service again.

I am a disabled grandmother and I rented an 8'x12' enclosed trailer. I arrived alone to pick it up and the male owner of the extended stay/Uhaul rental expected me to pick up the tongue of the trailer BY MYSELF and place it onto the trailer hitch of my truck. This was not possible due to 5 previous abdominal surgeries I have had (aka disability) and I could not risk herniation of the compromised abdominal wall and the fact that I am a disabled woman in my mid-fifties. When I asked for assistance from the owner, I was asked by him, "Don't you have anyone with you to help you?" I replied that I am alone as I am meeting the family at the location and we drove separately. I was disgusted and disappointed by the lack of assistance offered and the resistance to my request for assistance. Perhaps it is a culture difference given the fact that the owner was clearly born on a foreign land and perhaps is unaware of traditional American customs of men assisting women with heavy and difficult tasks. Due to a rain delay, I was forced to keep the trailer longer than originally planned and I was pressured by the owner into returning the trailer a full 12+ hours earlier than the full time I was charged for with no offer of a partial day refund. If ever I need to utilize Uhaul services again, I shall do all I can to avoid renting from this location again due to the poor customer service.

Based on rental truck availability in our area, I don't always get the chance to work through this U-Haul agency in Columbia, TN. But I prefer this location over all the others. The folks who work here are The Best!! They always do their best to ensure I have a positive rental experience. It is a pleasure to work with them. I would recommend this U-Haul rental agency to anyone.

Didn’t even know it was a U-Haul location and I’ve lived in this town for 20 years. It’s just an old run down motel that I’ve always assumed was abandoned. No signs and very little equipment. But it turns out that they had what I needed just as the U-Haul website directs me to. However the 1 staff was very helpful and friendly.

My overall experience with UHAUL was horrible. The truck I reserved in advance at the original pick-up location was not available. Therefore, I was delayed in doing my job I had to drive out of my way to pick-up another truck. I believe I should compensated for the extra time and frustration I was caused, not because of me but because of UHAUL.

Every month our church has a food giveaway ministry event. Part of the event requires that we pick up the food from the drop off point, and transport it to our church for packaging. We need a vehicle that can transport the food we've bought, and U-Haul has always been there for us in providing reliable transportation for this purpose. In particular, the Columbia Inn (in concert with U-Haul) has been our agency of choice, through whom we consistently rent the U-Haul vehicle we need. I would whole-heartedly recommend this place of business to anyone.

There was no service when I picked up this trailer I had to load it myself figure out how everything works and then inform them that there was something wrong with the trailer they exchanged that trailer for a trailer that was not roadworthy but I had no choice at that point. The trailer barely made the trip had a vibration on it that shook my whole pick up I would never rent from them again. I'm not even sure I would recommend going to U-Haul ever

Trailers need maintenance

I rent trucks twice a week from Penske. I used to use uhaul but the company started charging me for two day rentals when I only had it for one day. I decided to try uhaul again this week and was told that if I didn’t return the truck within four hours, I would be charged $34. This, even though I had to drive 30 minutes out of my way to get the truck and pay the mileage to do so because you only have one placed is willing to deal with you in this city. The only location here does not even speak English very well. This week I will go through all of the invoices and I will go down to the courthouse and I will pay the $250 in fees to see uhaul in court.

This was by far the sketchiest location I’ve been in. Yeah, the truck was clean, but the facility was seriously run down at an old hotel that looks to have been turned into some kind of halfway house. Definitely would not recommend taking my family there, and would recommend that you take a firearm for your own protection!

The owner did not assist with connection/ disconnecting the trailer and I almost hurt myself and damaged my truck in the process due to backing the trailer in on a hill where he wanted it. I saved not only the owner, but also uhaul from thousands of dollars of medical expenses, new truck bill, and emotional damage law suit.

I rented a car trailer that was in terrible condition. One or more of the wheels were out of balance and vibrated terribly above 45 mph. One of the tires blew out on the trip.

I walked in only to watch a man talk on his cell phone for 10 minutes while I waited for him to get off the phone with his buddy There was no.. Hi, I’ll be with you in a minute or anything. After he gets off his phone all he says is “park it over there” Absolutely terrible.
