The truck was not clean from inside and out side. The outside was so muddy and there was only 1/4 tank of gas. The truck was so old that it did not have all the safety features and especially not cruise control. They did not provide furniture blankets which I ordered and paid for. The U-Haul representative was rude and uncaring, stating they could not give me what they did not have. She offered no solutions. They made me drive to another location which also had no blankets. I asked that location to call around and no other locations were answering the phone. I went to the third location and finally was able to get them over there. I drove more than 25 miles around the city looking for the blankets. This is really unprofessional service since I pre ordered them in advance. By not having the blankets available, my trip was delayed due to no fault of mine.Said A.

I selected this location when I reserved the truck a month in advance. The day I picked up the truck I confirmed this drop off location. When I pulled I was met by an employee who said you can't drop the truck off here because we are at our limit. I explained the above mentioned reservation. She said can't help you my boss said do not let anyone drop off a truck. When asked what she thought I should do she said â€œI don't knowâ€ So I decided to to an after hours drop off at that location. That process went fine. Make sure the truck is cleaned and washed and go over the inspection of the truck with the customer. The customer service at the location i picked up the uhaul was excellent but they just handed me the key and that was it.davina A.
This entire experience was awful. First, my pick up location was moved three times. During this process, I was charged for the initial pick up location (which was cancelled) and charged again for the final correct pick up location. Altogether, having $1000 taken out of my account unnecessarily. When the initial order was cancelled, the equipment I had initially ordered was not transferred to the new order at the new pick up location therefore I had to go back to get it. The truck we were initially assigned was TRASHED with dog hair and cigarette ash. We asked to swap it for a clean truck. Then my drop off location was randomly changed to a location an hour awaySusan L.

The person working was really nice and helpful. The only issues I had with the whole experience was calling the uhaul customer service. Heidi was rude when i called to get the information about my order and confirming there would be a truck there (she was looking at a cancelled order that the previous agent had cancelled because there were 2 of the same order. she kept insisting I asked to cancel the order...meaning the one I was going to use,not the repeated order...she didn't see the proper order for quite awhile, i told her over and over the agent cancelled the duplicate) the employees at the centers where I dropped off and picked up were fantasic! You need to train your in house customer service agents better. The first one was nice but not too sure of many parts of the processMICHELLE S.

Have someone onsite who knows who is trained properly to rent the U-Haul. I was billed wrong at the rental and then when I returned it during the hrs of rental operation there wasn't anyone there for U-Haul and I had to return online. I was treated rudely and the staff is unprofessional.Dennis L.

You moved my confirmed pick location to another site that was 20 minutes further from my house. The truck had crackers in it. The site was not ideal for pick ups since it is a gas station so the station attendant took almost 20 minutes processing my already checked in reservation because she had to tend to gas customers and me. My prescheduled reservation had to be redone because her system didnt have all the details.Greg L.

The UHaul location on Concord and Chandler Mobil was not staffed or prepared to rent a truck. The first truck had a flat tire which required me to return it after I drove it across the parking lot. I had to help the convenience store cashier check out the first truck, cancel the first rental and rent a 2nd truck. This was very poor to no customer service and I will not recommend this location to anyone that needs to rent a truck. No accessories (boxes, tape, blankets) were available to purchase as well. I had to return it without gas, and extra miles, as I spoke with Craig at Uhaul, who knew I ordered and paid for a 26 foot truck and no one was available, or their shop was closed. We waited for over an hour and Craig got me a 20 got truck, even though a week before I ordered the 26 foot and the money was taken out of my account! The gentleman at the mobile station was nice and said he would let his manager know and I could call Craig back if anything didn't match up.Susan S.

This location was outrageously disorganized and unprofessional! We were given a hard time for not being there at the exact pickup time (ridiculous) and the man helping us didn't seem to know what was going on. If this location had been my 1st experience with U-Haul I'd have NEVER again rented from them. We had originally reserved a 10' truck and supplies from our chosen location, but were sent to 2 other locations, at which time we were given a 15' truck and were only given half the amount of furniture pads than we'd paid for. We had a 16 hour drive ahead of us and a larger truck that sucked up more gas, they tried treating it like they were doing us a favor by upgrading us but it wasn't what we needed or wanted. And I think we deserve a refund on the furniture pads that we'd paid for but weren't given and they never even offered. Just terrible.Josh G.

Owners were super nice and very helpful when returning the equipment. Picking the equipment up was a hassle. The girl did not seem trained and could not figure out the rental codes. Was not a uhaul location, it was a gas station. The attendant charged me $55 for gas which overfilled the tank beyond the 3/4 to full and would not credit. Attendant also charged $141 for the 3 days and then another $311 for ??? Now I have to spend more time to track everything down and find out why I was charged over $450 for 2 days on a truck that was supposed to be $59 a day.Mark C.

When i made my reservation online i chose Uhaul because of the location! When i showed up to pick up my truck at that location it was not there... and then having found some obscure follow up email you informed the truck was at a different location from where i had originally chosen. The chosen location was only a "Preferred" pick up site!! Now i don't know what F'n V.P, in your company that probably got a raise...came up with this stupid idea! You cant Jerk people around when they make a planned reservations at both Pick up and drop off and think its okay to send them to other locations to get there truck! It cost me a $40 cab ride out of my way to go to that other location to get my truck.. (which should be reimbursed asap!) I spoke to Sylvia the area manager in Palm Springs and she said she would! Have not seen that yet!! Then when I got to my destination I got another email stating that my "Preferred" location for drop off would not be available,,, ABSOLUTE BS! Your customers choose locations for Pick up and Drop for many different reasons.... NOT to make it easier for you,,, ever hear of customer satisfaction! When a reservation is made at a location the truck should be there or have it delivered on site by Uhaul personnel from wherever it is!! This basically amounts to "BAIT and SWITCH"! The Attorney General would probably have something to say about this practice! I've used Uhaul in the past and this was this first time this issue has come up! I don't know if its a new policy for you, but it SUCKS! I will definitely reconsider who I rent with in the future!Scott A.

Give paperwork to your customers. We were sent out the door with no paperwork. We were told that this location's printer was broken. Consequently we were overcharged for the truck and charged for fuel since there is no record of how much gas was in the truck when we picked it up. And we picked it up from a gas station! We filled the tank to the spot it was when we picked it up but are being charged. Had the tank been full when we picked up the truck, we would not be having this issue.Julie B.

The man renting the uhaul was very clueless and rude. I got to a 24 hour location and I was told he was off his shift at 8 (15 minutes after I got there) and he said the next person can't candle rentals... Which is dumb considering it's a 24 hour service location. Well so the he rushed everything and I had to call costumer service because he was not helpful at all and then we continued to have issues all the way until I walked out of the door. The only reason I would recommend is because of the gentleman that helped me. He was extremely kind and patient! He had people lined up at his counter, helping me and on the phone with UHAUL rep all at the same time. I would have been stressed out and he was so pleasent and kind to everyone!!! I reserved a 26' truck for 8:00 AM on Sunday 1/31/2016. When I arrived to pick up the truck, the truck was not there. I had movers waiting so I had no choice but to rent the only available truck, a 15' truck. I spoke with a U-Haul representative before I left the pick-up location and she assured me that I would receive a $50 credit to my bill because of the U-Haul truck reservation guarantee and she would see if I could be compensated for the additional time, mileage and moving expenses that I would incur. During this time, another gentleman came in to pick up the 20' foot truck that he had reserved for that morning. I told him what had happened with my truck and the clerk behind the counter laughed when the gentleman said, " You're kidding me, right?" He looked at the clerk and said, "It's NOT funny! Moving is stressful enough without having this to deal with!" Our move took 5 trips and 10 1/2 hours VS 1-2 trips and 4-5 hours so it cost me DOUBLE for the movers, almost triple the mileage and gas, the cleaning people and carpet cleaners had to be cancelled because we weren't done in time leaving me no choice but to take Monday off of work to clean and shampoo carpets on my own, and an extra day's rent because we weren't completely out of our place by the 31st. Did I mention that I am also 35 weeks pregnant? When we returned the truck the same clerk wasn't even going to check it in but I insisted so he would see what the actual mileage was, that the truck had a full tank of gas, and that the dozen furniture pads and hand dolly were returned (which he said he wasn't going to charge us for). He said that he would t all to his manager to see if any additional discounts or compensation for this fiasco could be taken into consideration. I just received my emailed receipt and not only was I charged $29.95 for the truck and $25.28 for mileage, there is a rental charge for $59.90 (they charged me twice for the truck maybe?) and the total bill came to $90.49. No $50.00 reimbursement for the truck reservation guarantee was applied. I will NEVER rent from U-Haul again. I usually always rent my trucks from Penske and have NEVER EVER had a problem. I rented from this specific location and from U-Haul because it was in between our old place and our new place and we thought it would be more convenient and would cost less in gas and mileage. We were sadly mistaken!!!!! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with this location and with U-Haul overall.Tami G.
