Was told the mobile process would take over 30 minutes by the man running the pick up location. He charged me 5.99$ for the registration to â€œdo it himself in 2 minutesâ€. Person at the store not familiar with rental process. Also, the moving blankets/furniture pads I pad for were not present. U-Haul is unresponsive. Can't get ahold of anyone for a refund of that line item cost they didn't provide. Also, the virtual approval process is way too long. Took 1 hour and finally had to call customer service because I couldn't do self check in and the gentleman behind the counter was of zero help. It was obvious the van wasn't cleaned or even looked at. The check engine light and low tire pressure lights came on abt a mile down the road. I did call to report it as I didn't want to be responsible for something I didn't do. Upon return, another employee quickly helped w check out process. He was very knowledgable! I found the online checkin to be confusing and time consuming. There will be people that can not navigate this and you will lose business because of it in my opinion. The owner of the station I picked it up from was no help and just kept saying it had to be done online only.Lisa W.
The entire procedure to pick up was not acceptable. The owner argued with me even after I showed him that I did do an online check in. It took over 30 minutes with the shop owner & uhaul on the phone before we were allowed to have the key. It was frustrating and very inconvenient and messed up the rest of the day. Waited for agent to arrive for at least 5 min. Told him I was having an issue with the app. He told me to wait and took care of 2 other people, then put me on the phone with UHaul. His demeanor was neither helpful or friendly. Have used this location before and agent unfriendly that time as well. While helpful the guy that rented me the truck was rude. Check engine light was on, I told the guy he said its fine drive it anyway. When I went to pull out it seemed like the accelerator was stuck as the tires spun out. I had to jam on the brakes and put it park. Tried it again and it was fine. While braking it seemed like the brakes wanted to lock up. We got our move accomplished but it was scary driving this truck.MARK G.

My complaint is with UHaul corporate and scheduling--not the gas station location. Originally scheduled for Hellertown PA pick up 8AM--rec'd text message to go to Coopersburg PA @ 9AM to get vehicle. Call UHaul 1-800 to try and find a truck closer than Coopersburg--4 dealerships in Easton PA only 15 minutes away from me. Get passed from person to person with "you called the wrong office" response as the UHaul 1-800 number rolls to around the country if one office busy. After speaking with at least 6 different reps, , I give up and resign myself to having to go to Coopersburg PA.. Saturday morning--now I am an hour behind schedule and it's 20 minutes further away. Lose another hour round trip to location. Get to Coopersburg and attendant tries to be helpful, but is confused as they are only "local rental, not one way" dealership. He has to call UHaul customer service to sort it out. Man at Coopersburg very courteous and apologetic for all the confusion and issues. Brand new truck with only 89 miles on it delivered to the Coopersburg location overnight by UHaul. Why couldn't Uhaul have delivered the truck to Hellertown dealership??? Why make me run around? This is my second horror story with Uhaul corporate and scheduling. My last reservation has the same problems--they redirected me to a Mini Storage location in Bethlehem PA for the truck---supposedly open until 5PM on a Friday. I get there at 4:15 and place locked up tight. I called Uhaul to complain--they had to track the owner down and send him back to open up so I could get the truck. Then I had to wait 15-20 minutes so he could reboot his computers to do the paperwork. Then his printer jammed. I ultimately had to get the contract by email after I left the location. Sort it out Uhaul--don't make me the victim of your poor management and scheduling.jerry S.

I didn't use the amount of miles I estimated but I still had to pay for it. You should make it clear that the customer has to pay the projected mile even if they go under it. So besides ripping me off everything was ok.Brittany C.

We needed a U-Haul last minute for our move. We called US Gas because they are right up the street and our experience with them was great! They were very friendly and accommodating. The truck was very clean and we were offered to have them sweep it out if necessary- but there was no need for that. The process was explained to us in detail and all of our questions were answered thoroughly. I would definitely recommend this location! I would say though that not every U-Haul location allows pick ups/ drop offs at a different location- you should call and ask first if you are in need of that service to prevent any confusion. It is not the locations fault if you did not double check their procedure with them. Thank you Asif for all your help and it was a pleasure working with you and your wife!!Aislinn F.

Horrible. The owner of the business was horrible. Got in my face and start yelling at me cause I asked if he could please throw out a bottle for me. And was trying to fight me. I would never in my life rent from them again. And honestly I'll be making a complaint. As well as I'll be asking for my money back. Writing a review on better business bureau to. Very unhappy with the extra and unnecessary charges with this rental. Ive used Uhaul many times in the past and they have always been my preferred rental company. But with this rental I drove a total of 38 miles, and put ~3.5 gallons of gas back in the truck to get it close to where it was when I picked up the truck. Being that the fuel tank is so large, the fuel needle hardly moved at all when I was driving the truck so I estimated the truck would get about 10mpg, so I put 3.5 gallons back in. Received a phone call today stating I was being charged over $20 so the truck could be filled with 5 more gallons of fuel. I do not mind paying for charges that are suitable (such as the extra mileage fee, I knew I would exceed 30 miles and will happily pay that fee), but I have a huge issue with slapping excess charges on customers with no probable cause. So with the 3.5 gallons I put in the truck, and the extra 5 gallons I was charged with, Uhaul is stating I used 8.5 gallons of fuel. Yet the odometer increased only 38 miles while I had the truck. That math just does not add up properly. At this point, I will strongly look for options other than Uhaul for myself and any friends and family.Craig P.
