I wrongly expectec that the interior of the trailer would be broom swept clean. I was so wrong as the sides of our mattresses & box springs were black as if they were slid across a mechanic shop floor. I am pissed as I can't get the grime off. there were drugs in the U-Haul I can't blame it on the locations owner as they it was up underneath the seat but I dropped something and had to get under there and found the drugs and I plan on posting this on Google and every other site I can findjohn M.
Drop off dealer wasn't going to allow me drop off trailer! I was adamant about leaving it there and he eventually let me drop it! Wanted me to drop it in grand junction even though uhaul made the arrangements for Fruita!David R.

So the manager of the Fruita location called and said I was over mileage and it was an additional $55.00, I was supposed to pick up the truck in Minot but they called me the day before and told me if I wanted the 26' truck I could pick it up in Bismarck, this must be the extra miles - This was an extra cost in time and money to me and my wife as we had to get up and drive the 100 plus miles to Bismarck and back in order to have the truck we needed for our move and now I am being charged another $55.00? This is just not right...don P.

I was to pick up a trailer at 2949 North Ave. in Grand Junction at 7:15 am. The North Ave store called me at 6:25 am to say they did not have it but Fruita did. I called Fruita on my way there at about seven and got their answering machine and found they did not open until nine Ed Sherry called back and came in early and I was on my way. They don't clean them in winter; I suppose because of freezing , but it was very difficult to release the straps to unload my vehicle. took me over 1 hour and almost made me late for the drop off time.Joe K.

The trailer was rusty and needed lubricant applied to the ratchets on the front of the trailer. We had a tire blow out during the rental. The tire blown cost us to stay the night unexpectedly until morning accumulating extra cost for lodging and an extra day of trailer rental. Not happy at all with the experience.Christopher W.

We were confirmed for pick up at Glenwood Springs location, one hour and 45 minutes later I was called in my reservation was canceled . I called corporate office and found one truck available in Fruita which was over an hour out of my way .Maureen M.
The first location did not have my reservation. Then I got sent to this location and had to call somebody to come to the office. I was so frustrated from being late by the initial reservation that waiting a half hour to figure out what number to call and then wait for this person to show up to the office from who knows where was about all I could take that morning.Will P.

The actual rental took too long and entailed a phone call to someone to try and get the inventory in the computer straight.-So that the physically existing car hauler would appear on the computer inventory. They're going paperless at U-haul and If the computer isn't right-well that's a problem that puts a sabot in the gears.Glen H.

We brought the truck back to the location we promised. We dropped it off a day early, so it would be available to another mover, for the weekend. We called the number on the site, and got The U-haul call center. They could not contact owner either. So we followed the directions, of the call center, and did the after hours drop. After we returned home, the Fruita, Co owner called to thank us for delivering early, as he had a customer needing one. We were sad to hear, there was no discount for dropping the truck early.steven G.

Both places commented that in the winter they do not worry about the trailer being clean on the outside. I do not think it would hurt to spray them down when they come in. Ours was filthy on the outside and I keep a very clean automobile. What a contrast that was while pulling.Nancy B.

The owner of this drop off location called me mid-morning on my fourth and final day of the rental agreement telling me in no uncertain terms to return that truck to him ASAP. I tried to explain that it was my final day and I was almost done with it. He stated, drop the key in the key slot, I wont be here as I'm going to lunch. I immediately swept out the truck and spent the better part of 30 minutes trying to find his location according to his directions. I had 1/2 tank of fuel when I left to find his location. I lost at least two gallons driving around looking for his storage lot. In my opinion, very poor customer service. In the future, when I need a truck rental, most likely I will still go with U-Haul but not with this location.DEAN C.
