This was not our drop off location - we returned the unit to Goldstream Market, same as pick up.

I didn't know the difference between virtual and onsite log-in so we waited and played around with the link on my phone as it said it was as 24/7 truck, and it wasn't until I did a chat with someone that I found it was NOT virtual and I had to go in. After that, it was a very simple and smooth process.

Andrew RThe pick up was great thanks to the unaffiliated store worker. The u-haul rep on the phone was misinformed as to the pick up protocol (insisting I had to get the key from a lock box when there was no lock box). My general experience with U-Haul was awful. I tried to complete this move over the period of a month because I could not get any help with a reservation. No call backs. I had to call each location myself and ask if they had a vehicle available. They often said no while the scheduling department basically gave me false promises for a month that always fell through. I just needed some honesty rather than dicking me around to try and keep my business. The move cost me double because I couldn’t book a one way and eventually gave up. I’m extremely disappointed. I had to take a ferry which requires advance booking. This was impossible to coordinate when u-haul can’t guarantee location, availability or time of pick up until 24 hours before. So what was intended to be a one-way rental turned into 2 ferry bookings and double the gas. I wouldn’t recommend u-haul to anyone.

Kreg GMake sure that the truck is reviewed before you picked it up as it might have scratches and bumps that you do not want to be responsible for.
Abraham SI first tried to check out with the Uhaul app. The app failed (crashed or gave me an invalid response) several times and when it finally did work (after several tries) it went to check out some reference which just left me sitting there with no explanation. I then gave up on the app and went into the store where they took care of me quickly and easily. The rating above reflects the store NOT the app. Dump the app!!!

Walter GWas not provided requested and paid for dolly / blankets. Reservation directed the client to a different pickup location where there was no rental available. Client was charged after drop off for gas, despite returning fuel level to original pickup measurement.
Kyle MEquipment wasn’t ready when I arrived at the location to pickup. Waited over an hour in the freezing cold for the location to finally open up so I could get my equipment. Put me over a behind schedule. Very disappointed and frustrating to say the least.
MICHAEL RWhen I arrived to pick up the truck I was told that they would not hand me the keys until I downloaded an app and signed in. (I was not told about this ahead of arriving to pick up the truck. I was told I could come back three hours later and someone else could sign me in manually. I do not own a phone and so was not able to do that. The person was very rude in my opinion and offered no help. I was able to use someone else's phone and called head office and they sorted it out. I was given the keys. About one hour later I received a call asking me if I had the correct truck. It took some time to sort that, but when I went to pick up the truck I still was not assured if the key would work and that I would have the truck. About another hour later I received another phone call where I felt pressured to bring the truck back three hours earlier than I had paid for because there was someone else who wanted the truck. I have rented vehicles all my life but this experience was right up there for feeling very strange, I honestly do not know how they stay in business.

Kate JI would only recommend doing regular over the counter pickup at this location. Unfortunately there must have been some misunderstanding as the key was not in the lock box for contactless/mobile pickup. Luckily a wonderful lady on the uhaul help line was able to swap my booking to in store pickup and I was able to get the key from the lady working at Corona.
Kayla SKey drop box has apparently been stolen so I had a bit of confusion around trying to return the key. Suggest replacing the key drop box!

Andrew FWhen I booked my truck, I asked for a one ton Cube Van. When I arrived at 545 am, I was surprised to find a 3/4 ton van. Not the truck I ordered. This turned a one trip, 90 minute transfer into an 8.5 hour, 3 trip ordeal. This should not reflect on Corona Foods, as I booked the truck through your 800 service.

Leslie MWebsite states that you can pick up vehicle at 8:30 but there is no lock box and the location does not open until 9 am Vehicle was dirty when picked up - gum / sticky floor in the drivers cab, leaves and dirt in the back of the van. Not being cleaned between client use in the middle of a health pandemic is not acceptable When calling U Haul they don’t seem to care and passed the blame onto the store where pick up was When talking to the store clerk he dis me and served another client When we returned the vehicle there was no box to place the keys. The van advertises 24/7 but that is false. We checked out online. One question asked during the check out process Was is the van clean - we answered no as it was dirty when we received it We were them charged a 25.00 clean charge Calling u Haul to dispute the charges we were told that a manager would contact me within 72 hours - terrible service! I did make an initial complaint when we received the vehicle and the manager did give me a 20.00 refund for the dirty vehicle I find it rather disgusting that he didn’t even provide the cleaning fee amount and his response to me was that he didn’t have to give any type of refund. The vehicle service engine light was solid during the entire time. The customer service agent we spoke to in the am was very rude and unhelpful The agent we spoke to in the evening She at least has empathy. The only positive thing I can say about the process of renting a vehicle with U Haul was driving away in my own vehicle . I wait to see if they call within the 72 hours
Scott OHappy with everything except that I booked a 10' truck, got downgraded to a cargo van and was told to call if I needed a truck instead. Called and they had sold the truck they had for me already. Due to this it took two trips instead of one, cost me more mileage as well as valuable hours of my precious life. Other than this I had no issues and was happy with the service. I would recommend to a coworker. Corona Foods is amazing though

beth hThe moving blankets I requested when placing the order we’re not available for pick up. I was told by the store clerk that I could drive across town to pick up the moving blankets; this would have added atleast 10km to my use of the vehicle.

Jericho SProblems arose when the operating system for rentals didn't work properly. As a result, I believe I was overcharged. Now I will be disputing the charges, which is a shame really, since this kind of runaround means I may go elsewhere when renting next time.
