Sukman was helpful in directing me where to park while he received the moving truck checking fuel, mileage, condition etc and when he could see there was more to deal with that was beyond his scope of the job he used his own phone to contact the U-Haul area manager to answer my questions and begin the process for the $50 Uhaul Reservation Guarantee which Subin promptly filed after we got off the phone. Thank you to both of those gentlemen as well as Darcy at Elmer’s whom I contacted to circle back on what my experience had been two days prior. With everything documented I was grateful to have had that conversation there during drop off giving me hope the company would honour their guarantee over the bumpy start. For the record; my choice of drop off location on my contract where I planned to go - was suddenly a different location than the one listed on an early morning email sent by Uhaul - so I called both locations to get a straight answer - so that is why I have said I would not recommend this location even though Sukman was helpful. This survey doesn’t allow you to omit or be neutral. It was an added pain that both pick-up and drop off locations were other than where I had indicated - as I was travelling by bicycle at both ends of the rental and it was not just a few blocks different as was apathetically quoted by Uhaul when notified I could expect the $50 credit back to my card I paid Original location said the customer had abandoned the vehicle in another city that they had expected to issue to me and only just learned of it - and it’s not their fault but the customers sometimes are unreliable. It sounded like a made up excuse.
