The lot was extremely dirty, it ruined a pair of my shoes. It was a pretty easy process, but you need to explicitly explain that there’s also a mileage charge not just a 24 hour rental.

This has nothing to do with this location specifically but U-Haul as whole. First I reserved my truck a week in advance for another location online and all the comments and my paperwork said 11am pickup but the U-Haul system had a 9am pickup time so my location gave my reserved truck away to another customer. Then said location sent me to another location that they told me had an available truck and even create a new reservation but upon arrival at the 2nd location, once again no truck available. Bright spot of the whole experience was the helpful desk worker at the 2nd location that actually called around to find and get a verbal confirmation that there was a truck available before sending me off to now a third location which was this location Country Mulch location in Westfield. Then the check-in/out process through U-Haul's crap app was a pain in the ass as well asking for pictures through the app of the truck then after taking the picture it not transferring to the page so it took me forever to get the truck. So overall my gripe is with U-Haul the parent company bullshittery with an ancient technology app but my experience with the Country Mulch location which was entirely self-serve on the mobile app was fine on their end, aka the truck was there physically there and operational.

The location did not accept mobile check-in. But there was no one working there. After 10 minutes of waiting in their parking lot (basically, a mud pit with dangerous equipment operating all around), a guy stopped loading mulch and handed me the keys. The truck was in horrible condition, the brakes were supe worn, the steering really loose, the transmission slipped constantly and the thing shakes when it drives over 50 mph. They also charged me for 2 gallons of gas, even though it was at a 1/4 tank when I picked it up and it had a 1/4 tank when I returned it. I will never use this location again.

They need to improve gravel driveway and parking area. Drive parking full of ruts hole. Heavy rain flooded area .

The location was dark and muddy

We dropped the trailer off after hours so no interaction with personnel. The drop off was a mulch center and the area for U-Haul equipment was in the mulch area. There had been quite a bit of rain which may have affected this, but the area was muddy, mixed with mulch, and so it was kind of messy getting in and out.

The location is very hard to find because the road system cut off access to it and GPS didn't recognize new streets and roundabout system

Make the drive more accessible for everyone. There are huge potholes and when pulling the trailer out of the location it is like driving over mountains. I was forced to use this location. I scheduled to pick up in Lebanon. Uhaul called the day before and told me there was no trailer available that I had to go to Westfield. Instead of bringing a trailer to Lebanon. Not very good customer service.

It’s at a small store located on an unpaved lot full of potholes. It was muddy and after hours drop was confusing.

The address given took us to the wrong place entirely which wasted a lot of time. Then we had trouble finding the alternative due to no signage at the road or any visible signs of UHaul trucks. The rental itself was good and the owner was very helpful once we got there.
