The truck never should have been rented. It was a nightmare and I am waiting for some sort of compensation.

I completed my reservation online for a different location but the size truck I needed was not available. I chose this location due to where it was in reference to my home. I confirmed the change with a representative online and was called the day of pick up to confirm everything and that someone else was picking it up. When it came time to be picked up the store employee was unable to do anything and a manager/owner had to come to the store. There were multiple calls and about 30-45 minutes of waiting before the truck was able to be used. There was no given reason as to why the truck was unable to be quickly picked up or what the issue was other than they needed to call customer service. It was very frustrating and caused a delay in getting things done.

The sole person at the pickup location, while a nice, friendly person, either did not have access to the U-Haul system or did not know how to use it. The person took my information and said the manger would enter it into the system the next day. However, after leaving the location with the trailer, I did not feel comfortable possessing U-Haul equipment for which I had no contract and had not paid. So, I contacted U-Haul directly myself to notify of pickup, complete the contract, pay for the rental, and provide photos of the hookup. In addition, the original auto carrier I was assigned had no tie-down straps to secure the vehicle. Fortunately, they did have a second auto carrier that had the required tie-down straps.

The location was not the problem. The problem was that we have a lot of issues check in. We been there at 5 am. Me and my husband. They asked me for a phone number to check in. I put mine. No it have to be another person. I put my husband’s No. It have to be another person? Ridiculous! How many people do you need for a check in. ? It was 5am in the morning.whi else I have to call? Really upset. And we lost an Hour and half trying to check in. So we turn out spending more money because we return the truck late. Next time I will rent Budget
