Pickup was a pain. The moving pads and dolly were not in the truck. We were told to look in the other trucks for them. We found a dolly but no pads, we paid for them, and the lady at the desk just shrugged her shoulders and blamed previous customers.Douglas F.

The location was fine, but the equipment was the worst I have ever received from U-Haul. Both the hitch clamp and the latch at the back of the trailer were rusted and difficult to maneuver, even for the gentlemen from Country Market who helped me attach the trailer initially.ANGELA S.

Trailer was dented, not a big deal. However, nobody checked the trailer prior to my rental. The trailer had a brake/turn signal light out. They also did not accompany me outside. They told me to hitch it myself. I am a woman in her 60's who required assistance. Other customers of the grocery store came to assist with with lifting the trailer onto the hitch.Wendy W.
We had issues with our reservation. We were supposed to pick up the truck at one location then received a call that it was being changed. I confirmed the reservation with the new location and arrived on the date appointed to find that they didn't have a truck for me. I was told to go out & look at a truck to find the number to call U-Haul which I did. Called & was given another corporate number to call. Finally 30 min. later, they had a truck for us & we were on the road.VICKI F.
Actually outfit the people working at this site with all of the tech they need to do their job functions. No one should have to buy a whole new hundreds of dollar phone to do their job. The woman checking me out was great, but UHaul should have provided her with the tech needed to record IDs, not make her buy a btw one to do her job.alexander G.

Overcharged. Declined the coverage when I filled out the application and it still was charged $14 on final bill. Lady was a mess. Filled out everything ahead of time, and then still had to go through the entire process again at pickup.John N.

Overall experience was good. Requested furniture pads, but told me they couldn't guarantee there would be any on the truck. Wasn't a huge deal as I had my own blankets, but would have been nice to have.Ashley R.
I had a rough time with this rental. The lady that issued the truck to me was rude. I asked a couple of questions and could tell I was interrupting her day. Second, my pick up location was changed. I don't mind driving, but I had to drive an extra 45 minutes to get the truck and 45 minutes back to load it. Not only did I have to use my own gas to go get the truck, it cost me $69.00 to fill it so I could drive home and to my real destination. 1/4 of a tank when I had to drive an hour and a half farther than I should've is ridiculous. The truck should've been full when I got there. I lost even more money because I left it on 1/2 a tank when I returned it.Marshella C.

No one really wasn't sure how to check out the paperwork for the truck.was expected to get a email for receipt.. didn't one.Richard W.
Arrived at 10:00 to pickup my rental I reserved online a month prior to picking up the rental. I reserved the 26 ft truck, appliance dolly, and a standard dolly to move boxes. It took 40 minutes to get the rental paperwork done and then they only had the appliance dolly not the standard dolly. I was informed that they only have limited equipment and uhaul is suppose to make sure they have what the customers have ordered. I was driving to St. Louis area and I asked them if I could drop the truck off at any location and they told me yes. No worries, you can use any location. I was charged for a one way drive. They put that the gas was at a 1/4 tank and it was under an 1/8 tank when I picked it up. On the drive down I tried to use there windshield washer fluid to clean the dirty windshield and there was no windshield washer fluid. I unloaded the truck and went to drop it off at a local uhaul rental location a day early and I was told that there would be a double charge unless I returned the truck 2 hours back to Chatham. I told the location I asked 3 times if I could drop it off at any location and I was told yes but never told there was a fee to not return it to the same location I rented it from. So I was charged another $300 on top of the first rental charge of $266. I don't feel that the renter should be punished for using range rental truck and not returning it to the same location. That's why's there's locations everywhere to rent them and drop them off. Or atleast tell the renter upfront there's a double charge if you don't return it here. None of this was told to me just that I could drop it off at any location. I will not use uhaul again if they want to charge me double the rental price just because I used a different drop off location. I feel I should be credited the second charge for the employees lack of information given to me and putting the wrong amount of gas at pickup and then not having everything I reserved ready for me a month after I ordered it online. Plenty of other rentals companies out there if this is how uhaul wants to treat customers for using their trucks.JUSTIN M.

This was an older truck and the battery died on me. I had stopped to fill up the tank 30 minutes from my house with a full truckload and it would not start at 9pm on a Sunday night. It took 45 minutes for Uhaul to respond.Melissa S.

Clean the inside of the cab. There was a hat and mask on the dashboard, and most likely the seats and steering wheel needed wiped down. County Market employees were very pleasant though.TODD R.
Do not send us 34 miles away for a pickup,drop off when there are local trucks available. Don't charge us for safe move when we removed it TWICE from our order. Don't penalize for a fuel charge when we uploaded the gas gage showing it was not as reported. Don't have the location charge us up front and then charge us AGAIN when we return the truck.Kristen D.

i will never rent uhaul again. i was quoted a price but was charged extra fees as well as being charged an additional fee for mileage which i am disputing. they claimed i put 70+ miles on it. sorry but driving from chatham Illinois to Pawnee Illinois and back is only around 30 miles total if that. I rented a Penske truck in chatham, drove it to carbondale Illinois, kept the truck overnight. drove from carbobdale to st louis the next day and then back to chatham for under $300.00 total.Tammy H.
Made the reservations weeks in advance for the truck, appliance dolly, and pads. Arrive at the pickup point and had to go through everything again. then they spring on you they have no supplies and if I want cancel the reservation and go elsewhere. Not at 6 at night. Part of my equipment rental was provided to another customer and we were not informed until we arrived to pick up the equipment. We had to fix this issue on our own and were not given assistance by the location attendant. I was very disappointed in the service provided.Sydney D.

To reduce the companies' liability exposure and minimize potential for accidents, I'd suggest having an attendant assist with trailer hookup to confirm everything is connected properly and lights are working.Duane F.
The mobile app was hard to navigate and did not provide sufficient information - e.g. it told me was approved and could pick up keys (facility not open) but not where to find them. I tried to get mobile assistance, but lost my approval window and could not get it back.Lance J.
It would have been helpful to have a feature that allowed all the mobile pickup options to have been done in advance, when a WiFi connection was available. Waiting on photographs to load in poor signal area resulted in a slow process. Feel like a lot of that could have been done in advance of pickup.Bryan H.
This location was at a food market. Wasn't sure where to go and who to talk to. I would recommend having a visual sign where to drop off and what to have prepared. The staff was friendly and there were no issues once I found it.SUSAN MARIE H.

I was disappointed with Uhaul itself. I reserved an appliance dolly but none were present at the pickup location. I had to drive 40 mi out of my way to get the appliance dolly that I reserved, and of course was charged for mileage for this dolly. It cost me at least 3 hours on the day of my rental because of spending an hour on the phone and then traveling to and from the pickup location. This caused me to be late dropping off the truck on the next day which resulted in me being charged for two days instead of one. the next time I rent a truck I will seriously consider the competitors.MARK C.
