The pick up location was 20 miles away from where I had ordered it locally. But the good news was that the manager gave me the extra miles to cover it. The truck smelled like farm animals and made some of the clothes smell that way also once arriving at our destination. Other than that the check out process was good.joseph M.

The people on the phone whom had nothing to do with this place of business were far from professional for one I talk to one lady then called when I arrived and after being on hold for twenty min finally talked to a gentleman whom said I could take the tow dolly then I go to return it to a town ten miles from where I picked it up and they wanted to charge me double absolutely insane then to find out they didn't even have record of me taking itBrain W.

There was nothing wrong with the pick-up/drop-off locations and the equipment was fine. HOWEVER, my original CONFIRMED contract was apparently cancelled for no reason and I wasn't notified. I arrived at the original pick-up location (Utica) and there was no truck so I then had to drive to Poland to get the truck. Very unsatisfactory handling of reservations.DAVID H.

They are good folks and did a good job overall. The unit was dirty but not terrible. I did not appreciate U-Haul requiring me to go to a location that added over 15 miles to my trip. I will likely not use U-Haul again for that reason when there is a rental facility less than 3 miles from my home. The customer service agent said they do not provide this location with equipment as they don't rent much. Really? Why have the site then?PAUL S.

The trailer I had. Was equipped with a bad wheel ( possibly) bent rim. I went by the dealer to have it checked 1 guy came out kicked the wheel and said it was fine. Another guy jacked it up spun the wheel and said the rim is bad but they didn't have a replacement, and said run it. When I picked it up they never checked the lights. They checked the lights on my way out of town. The lights didn't work turns out there is a problem with my truck. I was told to drive it.Kathy K.

Trailer was dirty on the inside. The electrical hookup malfunctioned and blinked off and on and the left turn signal didn't work most of the time. My outlet on my Mers B did not fit the trailers wiring, so I had to buy an adaptor. I would expect that the wiring connections should be updated. Also at the time of pickup the person who hooked it up incorrectly hooked up the safety chains. I stopped in Roseland NJ and the nice people there straightened the mess out for me as a courtesies.David V.

U-Haul should include the reservation process in their survey. That was a "0" out of 10. I had a trailer reserved, with reservation number sent, in Rome. A few days before I needed it, they called and told me that they cancelled my reservation and would need to go to Poland...45 minute drive from my house.ANDREW B.
The guy that I had to work with was an uncaring jerk that could not answer my questions and was 100% unprofessional. I was uncomfortable even leaving the U-Haul facility with the truck I was given before my questions were answered, but I did anyway just to get out of there ASAP.DEREK P.
99800384 started out fine but when I confirmed the original order for Ridge Rd., Rochester it was changed to later time and location without calling me. I took a vacation day from work to take care of this move Josh at Ridge road put me down for 10 am when I was planning to be there for 8:30 am and U-haul gave the trailer to someone else. I called customer service and they made it my fault because I book a one way. I need to look at my time as I was to pick up the trailer at Ridge road go to Mohawk NY to pick my car and then drop the trailer in Auburn NY. I talk with a Peggy who was very curt with me on the phone and said she would put me in contact with a regional manager I was disconnected after 15 minutes, I called customer service back got a lady by the name of Casey who also was curt on the phone with me and put me on hold and was disconnected after 12 minutes. I the called customer service again and got Cherrie who I explained what happen and requested that I get a copy of our conversation. She put me on hold and got a Regional manager by the name of Casey @ 518-449-8511 who set up the pick up at Poland NY which went very well. If Peggy and Casey worked for me I would write them up as very poor performance with customers if I could build enough of a case I would fire them. I have told all my friends about this issue with U-Haul.DAVID T.

Nothing on this end but I just received a bill for an extra day on the receiving end that I was told they would give me. I will take care of this tomorrow. Very disapointed since someone didn't change it in the computer when they gave it to me and now I have to try to get my money back.
