I drove 14 hours straight to pick up this uhaul. I arrived at the location and nobody was there. The building was closed. I waited 2 hours before I was able to find a new location that had what I needed. I had called customer service, who told me I'd get a $50 credit towards the rental at the new location. This was after I waited on hold for over an hour. I show up to the new location and waited 30 minutes to be told he can't give me the credit and I'd have to call uhaul. So now I get to spend about her hour calling uhaul customer service back, to get the $59 credit I was promised.CRYSTAL F.

Showed up for truck rented at 9am and shop did not open until 9:30. Then tells me that he has to clean and take pictures of the truck so finally end up getting the keys closer to 10am. Was not very friendly and just complained how everyone returns the truck dirty so I went ahead and assumed I'd get charged the cleaning fee regardless. Finish moving early so I return the truck around 3pm and park where I was told. He just grabs the keys and says "I'll take care of it" and end up getting a huge charge for gas on my card that I got reversed because I had proof. Also was charged for a utility dolly I never used. Oh and of course the cleaning fee. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!!ZACHARY J.
The guy at the location was rude. He was barely giving me any information. I was being kind and respectful towards him. He wasn't real interested in helping me. He tells me my order was canceled and then asks me to swipe my card without telling me what is going on. Some lady came in and he was friendly and talking more to her. That is definitely not right being that I was the customer. She was another uhaul worker. He was being short with me. I would not recommend this location to anyone. This was not a great experience. I took pictures of my uhaul I rented. It was clean when I left the truck I have pictures. When I returned it my uncle asked the man at crossroads automotive if he could throw 2 pieces of trash in their trash and the young guy said sure. So after receiving permission to throw two icees of trash away I get notified that my bill went from 95.00$ to 290$. Said I left rocks in uhaul and thre trash in dumpster and wasn't allowed to. The trash was given the ok to use and I did not have any rocks in the truck. Also almost 200$ was charged for this. This is wrong especially after given permission to use trash can.TWILLA B.

Customer service at Crossroads Automotive in Moody, AL was great. Very kind and helpful! 26' foot truck is grotesquely underpowered. I understand the need for decent fuel mileage but the truck I had would barely make a mild grade, halfway loaded, with overdrive off. So glad I canceled the auto transport I was going to rent along with the truck. Not a chance that truck wouldve pulled a trailer with a car on it up any sort of incline. Other than that my experience and the ease of check in/out was perfect.Edward M.

When I arrived the location is so disorganized I couldn't figure out even where to pull in and park so I pulled in at what appear to be the most logical location. When the only person who seemed to be around finally appeared, (the office front door was locked, you had to enter through a garage) and asked what i needed I told him I was there to return the truck. He looked at me and grumped, you parked in the wrong damn place. How was I to know. When I asked what I needed and told him the mileage on the vehicle give him he just took the rental agreement out of my hand and said "I don't need that, gotta take some pictures and they'll send you an invoice by email" and he disappeared. I've never in my life experienced so many disgruntled and messed up UHaul locations in one day. I never did get an appliance dolly though one was guarnteed and paid for in advance. After picking up the truck I went to two more UHAUL locations close to my house and they had none. Just for anyhow I did a search for the original sized truck booked (20 ft) and there was one within 5 miles of my house yet uhaul sent me 25 miles away to pick up a 26 foot truck that I did not want. I think I may be done with uhaul. I'm totally disgusted with the experience I had this past weekend I really wish you would visit unannounced both the Coldwater Mini Storage location (original booked truck that was filled with roaches) and the Crossroads Automotive location they are without question giving Uhaul a bad reputation in Calhoun and St Clair county Alabama.Richard M.

Curb appeal? No Clean and inviting? No But I will give this man and his small location my business 1000 times sooner than I will the place I picked up HALF of the equipment I (supposedly) reserved a month in advance..... But not to patronize UHaul.... I can't think of any reason to utilize UHaul ever again.Lisa M.
This was not the original location I reserved from. Original had 0 trucks and didn't open for almost 2 hours after reservation was for. Until I called and had to move reservation, the app still said that the truck was there and could be picked up at the original time.Todd H.

We rented a Uhaul from this location. We moved in the pouring down rain and mud all weekend! My husband and I swept and mopped the Uhaul! We even sprayed the inside with Lysol and wiped it down. He charged us a cleaning charge. It was clean.Ashley J.

The driver's side window got blown out driving through windy Nebraska. When we called roadside assistance, there was no consistency I what we were told. I specifically asked itlfvi needed to call someone and find a place to get it fixed. I was told that Uhaul would call and find a place. I know that originally the people Uhaul talked to said it would be 2 days. However, Safelite ( where we had plastic out over the window) had it in stock in a large city we had been through. My suggestion was that there was likely a Safelite on our journey that would have a replacement window. So we were told that's Uhaul would handle it and I didn't need to call and find a place. We were told to make it to Zogden, UT and they would fix it there. My son told Uhaul that it would be late at night when we got there and was told that it didn't matter. Nothing was done and we had to complete the journey with plastic over the window. I could have called and likely found a safe lite that had the window. It was not a good situation. The people we talked to through road side service told us the wrong information and there were at least 3 opportunities to make it different but continuity of communication was lacking. There was not an offer of reimbursement for our trouble.tammy N.

Guy with the bandana tied around his head skimmed a total of $22 from my Uhaul rental amount he gave me one person one day and then upon returning was a different person he acted as though he didn't know that I paid a $100 deposit(paid cash) he acted as though he didn't know math and addressed me as the woman when he should have done all business with my husband and pressured us with his forceful tone that "hey lil lady $48.71 sounds about right is the difference that I owe you" he lied and wasn't hearing what we we're really telling him he did not budge reffered to my hiaband as "brother" he's not your buddy should have referred to him as Mr. Or Sir no more jim Crow and he also talked about democracts wrong place... You DON'T TREAD ON ME SHOULD TAKE YOUR business and shove it and enjoy the extra money you took. Never will return you guys sucks follow policy ALABAMACHYSTEL F.

The truck I used was old and smelled like it. Your equipment needs to go to a service center at least once every month or so and have all the upholstery and surfaces wiped down and spray something to remove the smell of sweat and cigarettes.James B.

37 min to get me on the road and I had reserved and pre paid for the trailer. Not really dealers fault entirely. Requiring references is a bit extreme. Buy better theft insurance for the one trip in 10,000 where someone wants to steal an old, very used trailer. By the way, why do you not ask the â€œclean and invitingâ€ question here? The place was small, disorganized, and dirty. The trailer I rented was standing in weeds 3 feet high. I had to drive through deep puddles of muddy wAter to access the trailer.clarence E.
