The UHaul app does not work for equipment return. Multiple attempts to upload a picture of the odometer & fuel gauge were unsuccessful. The same thing happened on a rental return in December 2021.Lance R.

The app is the worst. The app ordered items I did not want. I tried to make a change to my order and it would not allow. The owner at the store was great to resolve all of the changes.GARY S.

Make the U-Haul app better. I tried to use it to return two recent rentals. However, had to give up because the pictures that had to be uploaded on return would not upload. Very frustrating!LANCE R.
Huge cluster! The night before my pickup I receive a text from U-Haul saying my reserved 15' truck from a location only a mile from me could not be used for a one-way move and a 20' truck was available 25 miles out of town. I called the owner of the new location (Crossroads Automotive) and was told I could pickup either using the 24-hour app or wait until 0900 the next day to pickup. When I showed up the next day at 0900 no one was there. I waited over 45 minutes, then just decided to checkout the truck online. I then completed the online transaction but received no code for the key to the truck. I then called the 1-800 U-haul helpline but the person who answered could not help me and said I needed to just wait until the owner arrived. All I needed them to do was help me finish the transaction but they said they could not manage it from their end. Because of this, I had to wait another 45 minutes for the owner to show up at the store. The owner was very apologetic for being late and quickly completed the transaction and handed me the keys to the truck. Then when I drove off the truck wobbled so back on the road I had to return it so it could be repaired and I ended up having to rent another truck. This whole process took 3 hours of my time when it should have only taken less than 10 minutes. Very disappointed with U-Haul and the way they continue to jerk customers around at the last minute. Will probably think twice next time I need to rent a truck from U-haul or call a day or two prior to make sure this won't happen again.thomas W.

Gentleman that assisted us was wonderful and a pleasure to deal with. The truck itself was lacking in cleanliness, the passenger seat belt did not click into buckle and hold so was passenger was not able to have seatbelt during trip, and the steering had to be held off center to drive truck straight.Christy S.

Requested a dolly which was not with the truck when I picked it up virtually so just went on without it. When invoiced it looks like I was charged for it and also charged for not returning it or something. I have not followed up with them yet on this and hope to resolve the charges.JAY H.
This place looks kinda sketchy from the start. I had reserved a 20' truck to be dropped off at another location, only to find out when I got there that it's a 17' truck and I have to return it back to the same location which costed me another $111 plus gas. We called U-Haul about the truck discrepancy and we're told there was nothing they could do. I will not ever recommend U-Haul to anyone ever again!!TRACY A.

The man was kind of rude and then accused me of damaging the roof. He made it seem like it was my fault that the roof was damaged and I should have inspected every inch of the truck for damage, which I inspected the outside and noted the damage on the fenders and such but didn't have a way to look at the top of the truck. He then got on to me for having the incorrect dolly which I'm not the one responsible for putting the correct dolly in the truck in the first place. I am usually pretty pleased with my service with Uhaul but this was not a good experience. The drop off location and the pick up location we're poorly maintained lots for what I am used when using Uhaul services and the customer service at the drop off location was completely unacceptable. I will not being using those locations going foward.Joshua J.
I had trouble uploading my pictures on the mobile app and had to use the website. This truck needs repairs made. The headliner has holes in it from what looked like the handle was on it. The cup holder attachment in the middle is loose. The truck needs an overall maintenance check it felt rough driving it. There were times when it was accelerating it took a minute to shift into gear. The location was closed when I picked up so I used the website. The website was easy to access and navigate once I was able to pick up. I do recommend showing up 15 minutes early for pick up because it will take some time.Christopher B.

This was essentially a junk yard. There was knee high grass almost everywhere and no sign to indicate that it was a drop off point. Just disgusting and scary.JAMIE B.

Please make sure the proper equipment is loaded in the vehicle. I was supposed to have an appliance dolly and 12 furniture pads. The truck had a utility dolly and only 3 pads. Made things more difficult to move.PATRICK T.

I drove 14 hours straight to pick up this uhaul. I arrived at the location and nobody was there. The building was closed. I waited 2 hours before I was able to find a new location that had what I needed. I had called customer service, who told me I'd get a $50 credit towards the rental at the new location. This was after I waited on hold for over an hour. I show up to the new location and waited 30 minutes to be told he can't give me the credit and I'd have to call uhaul. So now I get to spend about her hour calling uhaul customer service back, to get the $59 credit I was promised.CRYSTAL F.

Showed up for truck rented at 9am and shop did not open until 9:30. Then tells me that he has to clean and take pictures of the truck so finally end up getting the keys closer to 10am. Was not very friendly and just complained how everyone returns the truck dirty so I went ahead and assumed I'd get charged the cleaning fee regardless. Finish moving early so I return the truck around 3pm and park where I was told. He just grabs the keys and says "I'll take care of it" and end up getting a huge charge for gas on my card that I got reversed because I had proof. Also was charged for a utility dolly I never used. Oh and of course the cleaning fee. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!!ZACHARY J.
The guy at the location was rude. He was barely giving me any information. I was being kind and respectful towards him. He wasn't real interested in helping me. He tells me my order was canceled and then asks me to swipe my card without telling me what is going on. Some lady came in and he was friendly and talking more to her. That is definitely not right being that I was the customer. She was another uhaul worker. He was being short with me. I would not recommend this location to anyone. This was not a great experience. I took pictures of my uhaul I rented. It was clean when I left the truck I have pictures. When I returned it my uncle asked the man at crossroads automotive if he could throw 2 pieces of trash in their trash and the young guy said sure. So after receiving permission to throw two icees of trash away I get notified that my bill went from 95.00$ to 290$. Said I left rocks in uhaul and thre trash in dumpster and wasn't allowed to. The trash was given the ok to use and I did not have any rocks in the truck. Also almost 200$ was charged for this. This is wrong especially after given permission to use trash can.TWILLA B.

Customer service at Crossroads Automotive in Moody, AL was great. Very kind and helpful! 26' foot truck is grotesquely underpowered. I understand the need for decent fuel mileage but the truck I had would barely make a mild grade, halfway loaded, with overdrive off. So glad I canceled the auto transport I was going to rent along with the truck. Not a chance that truck wouldve pulled a trailer with a car on it up any sort of incline. Other than that my experience and the ease of check in/out was perfect.Edward M.
