Smelled like smoke inside a little. Gave me little headache. Was a little dirty on the floor, but that didn't bother us. The people at the location were VERY nice! I just think it's ridiculous that they changed our location nobody bothered to let me know and I got charged extra mileage because they changed my location to completely out of the way. Plus the website was completely down when I went but luckily the guy that was working there was super nice and ended up getting into like 20 minutes later. This has nothing to do with Currys Auto 6505 Logan Ave Belvidere, IL 61008 Currys was excellent and a life saver. U-haul reservations suck! I ordered a 6-12 trailer with my preference location on Forest hills rd, Loves Park, IL. 2 days out I get a message on my phone that I need to pick up in Monroe, WI. Which is 1hr away. I was confused so I drove down to the UHaul near me and went in to check what happened. I was told Rockford, Loves Park and Machesney Park do not rent one way trailers. I asked when I made my reservation why wasn't I told this and I would have made a round trip reservation. The gentleman shrugged his shoulders and said that's just the way it is which is BS since I had rented a trailer from them before for a one way drop off. Being 2 days before I needed it And there was absolutely nothing available I had no choice But to go to Monroe, Wi. The next day I called Monroe and their voice mail was full and I couldn't leave a message. Since I wanted to pick up a hr earlier and couldn't get a hold of them I called the 800# to see if that would be ok. This is where it gets interesting. I'm told they have no trailer for me!!! Would I like for them to look and see if they can find one. I said yes and I will take whatever at this point even if it's a 15' truck. They found another one in Wi, but it would not be ready to pick up until Saturday which was the day we needed it. I told them this wouldn't work because I needed to be on the road that morning. They found one in Belvidere at Currys, but a representative would have to call me back for scheduling. At this point I was given a $50 credit on my credit card. I did receive a call back and told I did have a reservation and I could pick up at 1:30 and would have to bring back the next day. I ended up renting for 2 days since I could not get it back in 24 hrs. I picked up from Currys Auto and thankfully everything went well and I was able to drop off on Sunday morning.Todd K.

When I made the reservation, all trailers were available for a 2 day rental, but when I picked up the trailer I was unpleasantly surprised to hear that it had been changed to a 1 day rental, which I was not able to do. The website didn't make the change clear somehow.PAUL T.

The pick up facility was fine, best part of overall experience. HOWVEVER, UHAULs corportate / regional equipment reservation and availability process and system is ATROCIOUS. I will NOT recommend UHAUL to anyone. A UHAUL agent called me a day before pickup to tell me my prior week confirmed reservation could not be fulfilled. This was after I spent $350 with UHAUL to install a hitch on my vehicle to pull a trailer. I would NOT have installed the hitch if I was told or knew the equipment reservation was not going to be fulfilled. The regional dispatch personnel that called me was rude, unsympathetic and only had a limited capability to find solutions. Thankfully, on my own accord, I was able to secure equipment. College move in and drop off season happens EVERY YEAR, the colleges are in the same locations they have always been and I suspect the equipment movement patterns are similar, with minor variations, from year to year. This is UHAULS "christmas season," I know there is going to be some disruption during rush times, but the scale of the issue I experienced and the lack of resolution was alarming. I will seek other solutions next time I have a need. I will only use UHAUL as a last resort. I trust this is NOT the customer experience you strive for.Michael A.
