Despite the truck being in excellent condition, I would not recommend this location to my worst enemy. Actively horrible customer service, myself and my friends were ALL verbally berated by the person operating the facility. I was not informed to finish the reservation through the UHaul app, and instead the person running the store had taken 40 minutes to do so online despite me insisting I could complete the application online and come back. Please pay your secretary more to be there if you were truly that bothered by someone coming in to patronize your business.
Tatum BThis was not the location at which I had scheduled my pick-up and I am not sure why U-Haul couldn't arrange for someone to drive the vehicle to the Loves Park location. The change in pick-up locations caused an inconvenience, especially since the Loves Park location is newer and more modern. The gentleman at the Belvidere location was very friendly and had a unique sense of humor.

Augusto LI was greeted extremely poorly. He was too busy parking a truck and told me I didn’t have a reservation. After waiting 15 minutes he finally came and looked for my reservation. At that point he became tolerable when he found my reservation. He rushed me out and I didn’t get to inspect the truck. Sure enough the dolly green clip was already broken which cost me 14 bucks. I am extremely disappointed with U-Haul. I returned the truck on Saturday at 3:30. A one day rental. The U-Haul app would not let me return the truck. It could not verify my location. Even though I had location services turned on my phone. I will be filling a complaint about that one. It double all my charges. Also, the truck was given to me below half a tank. I told the guy it was below 1/2 a tank and he ignored me and told me to bring it back with a half a tank. I drove 36 miles and had to put nine gallons to get it above half a tank. No way the truck gets 4 miles to the gallon. I will never go to this U-Haul location again. I will be calling U-Haul about the double charge. As I returned on time.
