I reserved for Farmington, mo at 5:00 got moved too Ironton (30 minute drive) and had too pick up at 1:30 because the location closed early. Picked 5:00 because that's when i needed drop off. Got charged a full extra day because u haul changed my pick up location. This is not right wouldn't use u haul again.Dustin M.

The truck although low miles, was out of line and pulled hard to the right,, this made my 15 and a half hour trip even more miserable.The moving pads ( one dozen ) were very dirty and I didn't even want to use them. Don't the ever wash these?Steven P.

The first trailer I was assigned was broken. Got a different one and it leaked. My belongings were wet. There was one person working and she had to be on the phone with her boss to figure out how to do my contract. Not the best experience out of many great moves with Uhaul.Joyce L.

We had a terrible time getting the truck we needed. The location was changed without notifying us and then we had to change it again in order to be closer to our actual location. If there is not a truck available at a location, why can the renter still select that location? This will be the last time I use this service and will discourage others to use U-Haul as well.Elizabeth S.

the agent I met with after making the reservation on line was not well informed and seemed confused but made a call to someone that helped walk her through the reservation process. this took a little longer than expected but I did get the equipment that worked well for my needs.MICHAEL C.

Truck front end bounced violently at highway speeds, it pulled to the right and it idled like crap! Almost died a few times. If you want to improve your customer service, you can start by ensuring that preventative and corrective maintenance is done on ALL of your vehicles BEFORE you rent them out!! It should not be up to the customer to tell you what is wrong with YOUR truck!!MICHAEL P.

I reserved a 17' truck for pick up at 2 pm on Fri. The truck was not there. At 3 pm the truck was returned. It was a 26' truck. Clerk had no record of my reservation until I refreshed her memory. She did make an effort to have the truck returned, which I appreciate. After speaking with her boss, was able to get a dolley and pads for free for my inconvenience.LANETTE K.

The keys were not in the truck, and the owner had to bring them up to me. My original reservation was not met. I had to drive 50 miles extra to pick up the truck and waste half of my day. The owner at this location was helpful and polite.MIKE O.
I had called at 9 am when this place supposedly opened to make sure the truck I had dropped off the evening before was good since it was supposed to be turned in by 10 am, but no one answered. I received a call about 10:15am to tell me everything was alright with the drop off.CHANDLER C.

The lady in ironton was distracted by her 4 yr old she had there the child was throwing fits and kept running outside and lady would have to chase her. What should have taken us 15 mins to do took well over an hour. The office was very dirty. Food, socks, shoes, clothes everywhere. Then then lady couldn't even print the contract and had to call someone to have it faxed to her cause her printer was out of ink.. It was just an all around mess!!Scott V.

1.The Agent was very nice, and did all she could to see to our needs at the time of pickup. She was as helpful as she could be. 2.The office could be more professional. 3.The air in the tires should have been tested and up to proper pressure when the tires were cold, ready for pick up. (They were each more than 20 lbs low) It took us more than 2 hours to get the air pressure at the right level. (We knew we would have to check the tires again, when they were cold once the trailer was loaded.) 4. The hitch should be put on by someone with U-Haul training and it should be inspected on a regular basis before rental. We were trusting you that everything was okay when we picked it up. 5.Our brake lights were on in our van and the trailer when we brought it home to load. We called your ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE 1-800#. That call and the person was totally worthless.!!!! The woman didn't know what to do at all!!! And would not really listen to us. She had no roadside assistance to offer us other than to drive ninety miles to somewhere to give us help. HA! HA!!!! We told her that she would have 100% liability for us and any cars involved in what would be a dangerous trip. Finally, after being frantic, and telling her NO-WAY! We had a time schedule to pack, load and travel, she took our number and said she would contact us in 15 minutes. She contacted the main hotline and in about twenty minutes a very calm, knowledgeable professional representative was on the other end of the line who walked us through the problem, talking us through the situation, which had to do with the way the hitch was connected. We were able to rework the connection, and adjusted the chain which was dragging. It was the hitch that was not set correctly and the connection to the ball joint not tightly secured and grounded, as it was connected in error. Oh my, thank goodness for my son who finally fixed it. After 3 hours of frustration, we were finally ready to pack the trailer and load it so we could leave in the morning. But we were hours behind schedule. 6. Packed and loaded, my son had to put air in the tires (cold) again before we could get on the road. That took us another 2 hours. (Behind schedule again). 7. The trailer gave us no further trouble on the journey. The trailer hitch and tires were checked at every stop. It was a long trip.!!!!!!!!!!! * Don't offer Roadside Assistance, if it is NOT going to be offered as such - ROADSIDE! Don't ever have a telephone Representative place your Customers LIVES at RISK, let alone other drivers on the road by telling them they have to take the trailer on the road when it is not operational and that is why they called you in the first place.Linda D.

The lady I dealt with seem to have none of the information I registered using the 800 number off the website. She claimed she could not rent more than two items per contract, which initially caused them to ask for a deposit on the auto transport, in addition to charging me the rate of renting it without the truck. She acted as if they were doing me a favor for charging me what I was initially quoted. This was not a pleasant experience and extremely time consuming. They also ran my debit card which was NOT supposed to happen, and although it was only for $1 it caused an overdraft. I have already submitted this complaint once and U-Haul has failed to contact me or offer any compensation.MICHAEL P.
I made the reservation in advance with all the equipment I needed. However, upon arrival I had to go through the process again and still there were mistakes. I had to have two separate contracts because the claim was it wasn't possible to rent more than two things on one contract. They asked for a credit card, which I already gave for securing the rental to secure the rental again. Furthermore, they charged my debit card, which they said they absolutely would not do and now I may be looking at an overdraft fee!MICHAEL P.
