ARQUIMEDES LIt's a convenient spot to return vehicles since its a gas station but it's in a bad part of town and a lot of transient and vagrant people tend to walk the area.
Steven JIt was a bit cramped to get my truck into this lot. The kind lady that I gave my keys to was not confident in her spoken english. However, she was pleasant. Also, she charged me for two gallons of additional fuel and I purposefully filled the truck up to the 7/8ths of a tank before I turned the truck in.

EDWIN BLocation is cluttered and no very inviting. I would not stop at that location unless I had no other choice. The staff is very friendly though, the building, the parking lot, even the gas pumps are just way too cluttered.

Carl OThe Chevron gas station in Davenport at 27 is a nightmare , please dont rent there , i rent in this place last February and they still charging me, my car was vandalized, and they still charging my account since February !!!! I called at 0800 and no help with this situation ! Nightmare place !!!!

TRICINIA WNo place for me to park my own vehicle during one day rental (had to park at lot nearby). Attendant took a while to find misplaced truck keys. Vehicle had dirty tissue on floor and spilt dried coffee in cup holders. However location was convenient to my needs.
Clint DInspect cab before renting it again. Whereas the vehicle was in good condition and drove well, we found a slight untidiness (I sent a photo of a used cup and candy wrapper from previous renter)

TYLER TTo the U-Haul Management Team, I am writing to express my frustration regarding my recent rental (Contract #16395854) at the Davenport Chevron location. This was my first time renting with U-Haul, and I feel that I was unfairly charged due to a lack of clear information during the pick-up process. 1. Lack of Disclosure on Rental Periods: When I picked up the truck at 5:48 PM, I mentioned that I "might" return it by 10:00 PM. The clerk did not inform me that this specific time would act as a rigid deadline for a second daily charge. As a first-time customer, I understood that a "daily rate" covered a 24-hour period. I returned the vehicle at 1:17 AM—less than 8 hours after picking it up—yet I was charged for two full days ($39.90). Had I been warned about this, I would have set the return time for the full 24-hour window. 2. Incorrect Fuel Charge: My receipt shows a $6.38 charge for 2 gallons of fuel. I returned the truck with the fuel gauge at the exact same level (7/16) as when I received it, if not slightly more. Furthermore, the U-Haul app glitched during my return process, preventing me from uploading the photos of the dashboard as proof at the time of drop-off. 3. Effort to Comply: Despite the app errors and the late hour, I made a significant effort to return the truck in the middle of the night to ensure it was available for the next customer scheduled for the morning. Given these circumstances and the fact that I am a new customer, I kindly request a refund of the second rental period ($19.95) and the fuel charge ($6.38). I believe this is a fair resolution for the lack of communication I experienced at the counter. I look forward to your prompt response and a fair adjustment to my final bill. SUSAN SCustomer service is extremely important when dealing with customers. After giving my name to the desk he then greeted me with oh your reservation was about to be canceled.
Barbara PI picked up the truck in the afternoon. By the time I went to deliver it, it was a little late and there wasn't much sunlight. I didn't know where the lights were to turn them on. To my surprise "very unpleasant surprise" I got a weapon (weapon) they didn't check the truck after the person who used it before me left it. I still informed the person on the site and I also informed customer service. They made the report and informed me that they were going to give me a refund for the bad time. I thank the front desk girl and the person who attended me in customer service.
MARJORIE EThis was a good location for our pick-up, easy to get to and the truck size I reserved was there. (Initially, the seat area looked clean, but on the passenger side there looked like dog food kernels under the seat. We cleaned the ones we could reach). Since we were returning the truck to another location (about an hour away), there were no issues and the staff at this location provided suggestions for a smooth experience.
DOUGLAS NMaintain the Vans better. It very silly minor things, but still, as a customer you want to be safe on the road. Personnel was super friendly and helpful. 5 stars for them

Gary SNo help was offered, at all no direction was given or offered at this location to help with finding the truck and trailer or hooking it up, when I got in the truck the fuel level was lower than noted on the contract, when I told the attendant he would not change the contract nor would he put fuel into match what was on the contract. He said don’t worry about it, it will be okay.
Gary SThe van was not cleaned after the last or couple last renters. I also called the location after I dropped off the van at 12pm left a voice mail letting them know I left my car charger in there to please call me. Still haven't heard anything 😕
ASHLEY MThe U-Haul van had roaches . And they call you every day all day from the moment you rent it. I highly do not recommend them. They are a private business and hardly speak English. They are a total rip off.

PEDRO PI rented a 20-seater truck. The first one was dirty and full of oil and grease in the driver's cabin. It was impossible to drive without getting your clothes dirty. I returned to the store and the lady who helped me immediately replaced the unit with another one without any problem. The treatment was very kind and friendly. They are well located. I recommend them 100%.

William IThe truck I originally rented was behind another truck. I had to wait for them to move the truck in the front after I offered to just take the one up front. She said no she'd move it. I assumed that meant it was either rented or too hard to change reservations. Then when she went out to move it she offered that truck to me. When we went back to sign the new contract she informed me that the truck I originally signed for had 3/4.tank. Whilest this one only has 1/4 tank. I said that was okay. She said no. Then nevermind if I was sure she'd let me rent it. I got into it and down the highway to go to the gas station to realize the engine light was on and I called 3 times for no answer and left a voicemail with no call back.

Pauline ECustomer service was terrible at this location. I felt like an inconvenience to the employees at this location. When I dropped off the van and rented items I was ignored by the employee behind the counter. When I said hi and asked if I needed to do anything I got a rude look while she continued to smoke her vape and play on her phone. She finally said “you’ll get a receipt when I check it in” then continued to ignore me as if anything else was more important than her job. The gas station the location is housed inside of is in poor condition and had me scared to even pick up the van I rented. This also reflects on how the vehicles have been maintained. While the van I rented had less than 5,000 miles on it you can tell it was definitely in need of some attention. The drive was clunky even though I was careful with it. The tire pressure light was also on the dash as it was not recognizing the right rear tire as though it had been improperly replaced. I understand this is a third party location and while I do feel this reflects badly on the U-Haul name it will not stop me from renting with U-Haul. I will just be more considerate in where I choose to rent from ensuring it’s from a true U-Haul store not a 3rd party. If U-Haul is reading this I would consider not allowing this location to be a part of your name any further.
