Picked up with exactly 37 miles to empty displaying on the readout, which I specifically asked the counter person about. I was told to return it with the same level of fuel. I returned with 48 miles to empty showing and was then charged an additional $35.50 for fuel. Was also charged for the $60 safe move and a $7 safe trip fee which I specifically opted out of on the online reservation. What was quoted at $730 for a 1 way rental has now gone up to over $1000 not including the $200 worth of fuel I legitimately used. I expected that but did not expect the claimed extra 177 miles that I was not shown on an odometer, the $1.00 a mile cost or the options that I didn’t choose.

1st my pickup time was 11am, there were 2 units there but the guy was late getting up, it took an extra jack to lift the unit he gave me and his computer took forever, 11:30 before I could leave, drop off same thing guy was still asleep so I took pictures and managed to get the jack up enough to get unhooked, not very professional and I've used many different uhaul locations.

If the hours say 9-5 somebody needs to be there before 11:20. Also one of the tie down straps was so frayed that it was very difficult to thread into the ratchet.

We had a rough start. Our truck was not available. We had to drive one hour to Lordsburg to get a truck and one hour back to our home in order to use the truck. It turned out okay, because the local U-haul person was very fair in giving us a good deal for the effort that we went to. Please try not to commit to having a truck available, if you cannot assure that it will be available.
