The site manager was extremely rude! His verbal statements, voice tone, and mannerisms toward the driver picking up the truck as well as me, the player of the equipment, were very obnoxious and condescending. Had we not been crunched for time I would have discontinued the service and sought help another way. Additionally our initial reservation for the truck that was made on 11/03/2019 was canceled due to our own miscommunication between ourselves. Once I called in to see what was needed to alter the time, I then learned of the cancellation but the young lady on the phone very pleasantly made a new reservation for us. During the telephonic reservation, my credit card information was taken to pay for the service/truck but upon pickup at Discount Mattress Furniture , I was angerly in formed by the owner that he didn't have the information and that I had to give to him in order to get the truck. Although felt uneasy about having to again give out my credit card information, I did so as we needed the vehicle.

An absolutely horrible experience!!! Larry is beyond unprofessional. Yelled and scolded us because we were late picking up our 6x12 trailer. Will never do business with this man again, nor recommend anyone to this establishment. Also, glad I knew how to hook up the trailer because he walked away once the trailer was seated on the hitch.

I was offered zero help until i asked. The parking lot was over packed and i was left to back up a van to a hitch by myself until i insisted i get help. I literally had 4’ of space to pull out a 12’ van with a car carrier that i figured should have been hooked up for me and ready to go upon arrival. Also the trailer light connector was missing and never worked

The owner had a very sarcastic approach. He was trying to sell items from his shop and I didn’t approve of his selling tactics. I would not recommend anyone to pick up from that particular location.

I had inadequate direction on my rental and was not very comfortable. The renter never informed me of any terms of the rental agreement, including the miles included or the time it was due back. I was also not asked for any identification at pickup. If I didn't already have experience with driving trucks, I would be very upset.

The owner just complained the entire time about having too many trailers and he didn’t understand why Uhaul kept sending them, and didn’t seem to want to help unhook the trailer at all.

Store owner was very rude. During the pickup and drop off. I reserved a trailer to be picked up at 6:45 for a 24hr rental. Store own called me and asked if i could pick it up early (2:00). He told me my rental times would be the same but he charged me for two days plus coverage that i didn’t ask for. Bad representation of your company.

The guy at the counter was very unprofessional and rude. He seemed as tho he didn’t want to take time to help us.he even got an attitude when one of the people hat was with me phone ha ring so he stepped outside and the guy at he counter stated to him you need to stay in or out I don’t have time to keep hearing that annoying bell. I also called to dispute some charges on my rental and the same guy at the counter began to get loud and irate and hung up the phone on me wouldn’t even let me tell him why u was calling all he did was over talk me and hang up. Very dissatisfied with the customer level at this location. Will not be returning and will let others know not to do business here with him.

This place steals from you!!! I made sure before returning my uhaul to this place that I filled the fuel tank to fill but they still charged me $31.00 saying the tank was only 3/4 full. I called the place and the guy was a complete jerk about it but finally said he would refund the charge but he never did!!!

The owner of the location was snappy towards his employees and some of the customers. Switching to a larger trailer was not an issues, but we had to switch trailers twice due to 2 trailers not operating properly. The trailer however was easy to use.

I think that calling the 800# and having more customer service representatives would have made the experience closer to Excellent verses going into a location to check availability. My over the phone experience made it above average.

During the return, the website went down and I could not go through the return process. Spent time on the phone with a representative and they finally had to tell me to just lock the vehicle and take pictures of the condition of the truck at return. As with the pickup, this caused another delay in my trip.

The owner never came out to check u haul and did not check we left the dolly inside which we did. We accidentally left our lock in and he called us hours later to tell us and wanted us there ASAP because he rented it and we had turned it in four hours early than expected so he should not have got his panties in a bunch about us getting there ASAP because technically it wasn’t supposed to be there. Had he done his job in the first place and properly checked us out all this would have been avoided. He was quite rude about the whole senario and it was his fault. The guy who rented it did not even know the dolly was in it either. I would not recommend his place to anyone. I will not go back there ever. Very poor customer service!!!

My rental reservation disappeared from the computer right before I picked up the trailer, although not the fault of the pick-up location. Not very organized. Took a long time to reprocess the reservation. Couldn't find the necessary information. But the service was friendly.

They did not know how to connect the trailer to my vehicle, I had to figure it out myself. If I listened to them I would have left without it properly connected to the ball on the back of my truck. They did not inspect how I connected the trailer to my vehicle before I left. They told me the adapter to connect the trailer lights to my vehicle would be included but did not have any available. They told me to drive with the trailer not connected to the lights and for me to just put on my hazards for the 2hr ride on the highway. I ended up going to an autocrats store to purchase the adapter. They did not know how to remove the insurance from the quote and had to charge me and they asked me to call U-Haul.com to get it credited back. This was the worse experience! The guy running the furniture store should not be representing UHAUL!

I believe I was over charged by at least $30. Larry, the man running this location, was gruff, rude, and unhelpful. I tried to tell him that the gas was the same as when we picked it up after we put in 10 dollars worth of gasoline, and he brushed off my comment, failing to tell me that I would be charged an extra $45 (most of which I believe is erroneous). I think if you look at the mileage- which I also think I was cheated on- there is no way we used $25 additional dollars worth of fuel.

Your customer service is atrocious!!!!! The Uhaul was not ready for us and we needed to change our reservation. The man in Memorial Drive with our first reservation was obnoxious and the customer service rep on the phone (each time we called) were horribly rude and nasty. The man we ended up getting it from on Evans Street was nice and Capital Blvd was fine too.

The use of profanity from the location employee was unacceptable. We were treated like an intrusion rather than a customer. If we didn't need to get the car moved we would have cancelled the order all together.

There were broken plastic pieces all over the inside of the back of the truck that appeared to be from a lighting fixture. However, to be fair, we had our reservation at another rental location that then didn’t have a vehicle for us, so we had to stop here unannounced. Larry was extremely helpful and accommodating. We are grateful to him,

Employee who checked me in didn't get out of his seat. Told me where to park the dolly and they didn't inspect for damage. I bring this up because the original location on river hwy Mooresville dolly was damage and not usable. I had to drive 22 miles in rush hour traffic ( took me about an hour) to pick up the dolly in Cornelius. Lora and Mary from the Charlotte office told me that's is all that could be done. They acted like it was my fault the equipment was damaged and then offered a $50 credit. It took me over 2 hours and 50 miles on my vehicle to pick up the dolly.

The location was closed when I dropped the truck off. I placed the key in the drop box and called to ensure everything was good. Shortly after this I received an email stating that everything was fine with the rental and no money was owed.

The service was terrible. My husband and I had a hard time backing in due to lack of experience. It would have taken a MINUTE for the man on duty to help us. Instead he berated and demeaned us. What an awful person. It was horrible. Fortunately another customer was kind enough to help us. We expected better from U-Haul. Never again.

The store I called to make my rental was the place I wanted to pick up my rental truck but they scheduled my pickup at a further inconvenient place. I had to travel in heavy traffic and several miles further to get my truck rental. When I made my appointment they did not tell me I would have to pick up the truck at another uhaul dealer.
