Arrived at location no one on location had to drive to another location to do my paperwork then drive back to the first location. Took the car haulier to where my pick up was to realize the strap for the tires was broken so I had to go buy an $80 strap little disappointed that $100 rental ended up costing me extra gas mileage and an extra $80 for a strap.
SHAWN DTruck not cleaned out..blankets on floor out of bag..back door on truck left unlocked at time of pick up. Would suggest inspection of equipment prior to rental. I will not be paying any extra charges for bags not used.
BONNIE RAs a first time user of U-Haul my experience was very good, It took a little time to learn the on line pickup but after following the prompts it was very easy. I will use them again the next time I need a trailer.
Chris PI had booked at 45 Bradford st Barrie for 1230. Nobody was at this location called the number posted no answer rang the bell no answer. Call the 1800 # and had to rebook at Bayfield mall location only to find out that it’s the same store owner kind of convenient to have 2 locations and only man one of them truly unprofessional at gives the UHaul name a bad name. Asked for a discount because of my 30 min wasted and was told UHaul doesn’t give any discounts. Horrible customer service
STEVEN BNo response as I dropped off the key in the lockbox. However location was difficult to find at this location and the lockbox was difficult to spot.
RICKY BWe went to go to the building and there was no one to meet , the person that was handling the uhauls hung up on us when we got there because he was “ dealing with someone else” we asked if we could come to the unit and he told us to wait outside. I wouldn’t go back to this U-Haul.
KIRSTY RThe guy was 20 minutes late opening the store, there were 3 parties waiting for 8 am pick up. The mileage was wrong on the receipt, I was charged for 400 miles I didn’t drive, customer service has been a nightmare to deal with. The truck was leaking oil and the steering was awful. This has been THE WORST experience ever.

WAYNE HI would not recommend using this location. 0 stars! The staff is not at the location in the posted hours. Saturday hours 8-1and 2-4. Reservation for 8:00. No one there. 3 customers lined up to pick up rentals. Staff arrived just before 8:15 and didn't even apologize for being late. He was also quite dismissive. I had ordered moving pads, and the location had cancelled these and not informed me. The van itself was not clean upon receipt. It had not been swept out and there was garbage in the back. No joint pre-inspection was completed before we drove off. We returned the van at 2:35. Again no staff there within the posted hours so we had to go through the annoying after hours return process in the cold rain. I chose times and a close location with counter serviceI to avoid this! I made two different complaint calls to customer service (one in the morning and one in the afternoon). Corporate customer service representatives were very customer focused, apologized for our bad experience and said they would send all my complaints to the regional manager responsible for the location. I don't know if there will actually be follow up but I won't use this location again. Previous u-haul experience at a different location was positive however I am unlikely to risk using u-haul again. Many locations in my area seem to have poor reviews.
DREW SThis location is by far the worst that I’ve rented from in recent memory. The person is always late to arrive and the equipment is often dirty or in poor repair.
JUSTIN PPick up was scheduled for 8 am . No one there at location. Trailer hook up /safety chain was larger than normal( than all other cargo trailers and would not fit receiver. After going to another location( as told to do so by UHaul) had to go back to original location to get a larger trailer and made to pay extra for larger trailer that we did not reserve.

PRALAYAN Srecently rented a U-Haul truck in person, and the entire experience was fantastic. The process was smooth, efficient, and hassle-free. A special shoutout to Mani, who provided excellent customer service—super professional, friendly, and extremely helpful in making sure I got the right vehicle for my needs. The truck was clean, well-maintained, and drove perfectly. Returning it was just as easy, with clear instructions and no hidden fees. Overall, a great experience! I highly recommend U-Haul and will definitely be using their services again in the future.
HARNAM SHad a tremendous experience at this u haul and would not only recommend it I would drive out of my way to come back here in the future and actually plan to! Staff were super helpful, They extended our use of the truck as we had some unexpected delays come up unpacking it. We are so glad we came to this location! Thanks so much!!

RICHARD JWe went to Innisfil location and couldn’t get a truck at 8am. We called Bayfield location in Barrie and they were able to accommodate us last minute. Very helpful guy. We will call him next time for rental. Thank you
Antonio ATerrible location, no one on site for opening. Trailer had a flat tire upon arrival, full of tree branches, light harness broken and corroded. Importance of rental was very high, had to buy a portable air pump to inflate the tire and cut my day short. Trailer is not road safe. Called location and they said best they could do is reimburse me for the air... Reading other reviews this is not uncommon here. Stay clear.
Lucas BI would not recommend this as they deduct the amount from my account. I just used it for 13 kms only. They have charged me for 28 kms. Ridiculous service, please don't go they will steal your money.

Nicolae PI'm not happy with the overall service and fee deception. My schedule time for pick up was 12.30pm, even though I wanted to pick it up at 10,30am. I arrived to pick up the truck at 12.19pm. The office was closed. I waited until 12.40pm for the staff to show up. Then I was kept waiting for another 10 minutes because the inspection hadn't been done. I observed the truck in the lot. It would have been nice to receive a call saying the truck was available earlier. I was told the fee would be $30. My bill was $169. I only had the truck for 7 hours. I was not informed about any extra fees. I was charged $100 for km @ $1.19 per km. I only drove 36km . I was charged $20 for returning the truck early and wasn't informed of this charge. I will not use this company again. Fees are very misleading ! XX
KATHERINE RThe store agent was very rude and harassing. He said he is frustrated with his job since there are less staff working (apparently he’s working at multiple locations) and called me a lair for coming late by 10 minutes for my reservation although I assured him over phone that I’m on my way for the pick up the truck. Changed by drop off location from my reservation without my consent and forced me over phone to return back to the same location although U-Haul has return anywhere policy. This was during a snow storm. U-Haul should look into such customer assists who can ruin the image of such service location.
HARISH RThis was an embarrassment to U-Haul. The franchise was rude upon check in. He was not helpful in getting the trailer loaded, did not answer his phone when help was needed as the trailer was buried under two feet of snow. I would never rent from this location ever again.

WILLIAM KUhaul website reservation process - misleading Uhaul pickup - communications with rep - sub par Trailer had 2 burnt out light and 4 pin connector was broken upon pickup. Had no other options but to take this unit.... Trailer had snow on top and pulled Infront by parking lot snowplows (from snowfall 2 days prior) Upon returning the trailer, nobody was at the office, doors were locked. Business hours stated open.... If you want to hold people to very well written contracts, do your part and maintain your equipment. You put the operators of your equipment at risk and others on the roadways at risk via your lack of maintenance and inspection. Standardize and enforce your uhaul locations. Sub par performance on uhauls end as a whole. Not one specific person to blame.
Kyle RThe location was closed when I got there. When I called 30mins earl to make sure they were open and had my reservation he said come back at 130 and was very blunt and rude. I showed up at 130 and he was still not there. He showed up @ 140 and said “sorry, got stuck in traffic”. He did not explain the process to me whatsoever ever. The only instruction I was given was when I got to the vehicle to call him back with fuel level and mileage. Not only was the vehicle at 1/8 of a tank it smelled like something had died inside. No bill components or charges were explained either. Would definitely recommend going to another location
Shania JFire the staff. We wasted over an hour having to go from one location to this one as no staff were at Bradford st. Site. He gave us a van that had a low air in tire message, had very little gas, back door was not closed, windshield wipers were stuck to the window so we had to go get our snow brush to brush off the vehilcle, scrape the window and get the windshield wipers working while beside us two vans were scraped off….. When I phoned to complain he was aggressive and told us not to leave and came and gave us a different van. I said he really needed to take a look at his terrible customer service. He got angry, was very aggressive and in our face and said he was going to give us the van for free! Guess what, he lied. A terrible experience, somewhat scary. I would like to talk to the president of the company as this was awful and we are a repeat customer of UHaul. Liz and peter
PETER NThe location hours stated are not accurate. Location was closed when I had to pick it up trailer had to do work arounds and virtually checking out. I don’t have a problem doing it if I knew going into it it would be a virtual check out. It was a little stressful to find out last minute and then to call and figure out how to do it, and if it was available etc.
GUANLIANG SThe agent was vulgar. When i called afterwards to enquire about extra charges he was really really rude, just tild me ti call customer service. Didn’t provide customer service number and just hang up. I called back for the number 8 times he didnt even pick up the call declined it. Uhaul was fine but the agent was really inappropriate
MUHAMMED RI booked the rental weeks in advance for an early pickup time at 0730. When we arrived no one was on site and we sat waiting without knowing what to do. Someone messaged us at 8 saying they were going to be there in 30 minutes but didn’t show up until 0900. If I knew they were going to be an hour and a half late there was many things I would have done in the morning to help me prepare to move but unfortunately we had to sit waiting for someone to show up for a time we weren’t told.

DAVID CEmployee was not on site when I arrived Employee was very rude arrogant and would not help I had to call U-Haul customer service line to get help I was at the location during the posted hours and no one was on site My order was cancelled by the employee and then was set up again at a different rate so I was overcharged for insurance coverage Order was cancelled after I expressed concern with the lack of customer service and that no one was on site during the posted business hours This location is horrible and is negatively impacting the U-Haul brand.
Nick BThe running lights were constant and reliable. The brake lights + turn signal lights + hazard lights, + BRAKES on the trailer, we're intermittent/ infrequent and unreliable.
DAVID LThe location was closed at the time of pickup, the guy gave me a wrong trailer number that is not existing at the location, called multiple times with no answer. Eventually had to call customer service to help me out. I have advised customer service about 2 other trailers on site that was available and i eventually picked one of them. I was late for my plans by almost 2 hours because of this mess. Please hire the right people who are responsible and shows up to work during working hours
BILAL YHave the people available at the location and not have us waiting for them to arrive. Playing phone tag while they sit at home and wait fir you to come get the equipment then they tell you to wait there for them and that they arrive on their way.

Henry JLocation was closed when it should have been open. Vehicle was filthy and smelled so bad of cigarette smoke, that I returned it early. There were even ashes in the drivers door handle. I will NEVER use this location again and it hurt the uhaul reputation.
Nathan WI admit I was hours late for pickup, but the pickup location was not attended and I had to wait a very long time (~ 1 hr) for them to arrive and inform me which trailer was for me. The trailer then had a defective light cable. When I requested to return to another location, they told me I couldn't and must return to this location.
Robert MThe location said it was open until 7pm, I arrived at 523pm and no one was there. I called and the person said they are not in at the location and to just take the trailer. When I went to hook up the trailer the light connection was broken (wire cut). Was told to find another connector on a different trailer and take it. I was also told the connector was the customer’s responsibility. Very poor customer service over all. I returned the trailer Wednesday night and called the location. Was still charged until Friday night. When I called to ask why they informed me it didn’t matter I have to pay. This location is terrible.
SEAN MThe person I called at this location was not helpful. I asked about the claim waiver and he and 3 other people I had to call at UHaul had no idea that it did not cover me if I caused an accident on the road. I got passed on from one person to another. Very poor!
Jeff HLocation in the Mall was a little hard to find, but other than that, I received great service. The staff person was very busy. He received at least 4 calls while processing my transaction as it was the end of the month and remained courteous.

MONTASSER BNot so much an issue with the location and more with regards to Uhaul changing my location and sending me somewhere in which the agent advised I would have to go inside the Uhaul location as they didn't have mobile check in. Once I arrived the Uhaul location was closed and there was no one around to assist. Had to have my fiancé reach out to customer service who went above and beyond to assist us in getting our rental. Agents need to ensure when changing your reservation that they have all information required as this could have been a very bad experience.

I reserved online and requested for in store pickup to rent a dolly too but after waiting 1 hour at the location and calling uhaul and talking with three people, I picked the van by phone without taking any dolly.

MELANIE MI was booked at another location, also named Divine Logistics, but when I arrived for my mobile pick up received a message that there was no equipment there available for mobile pick up. I called and was told there is equipment available at this location. I wasn't told to go to the back of the mall, which would have been helpful, I don't think this detail is anywhere on the website either. When going through the mobile check in process, I had to take pictures of my license multiple times, I was told there was glare and at least twice had to start the entire check in process all over again, re-entering everything. The last time I received a message stating there was too much glare, I responded to let them know I was now very late for work (because of having to move to another location and because of the pictures not being accepted) so my next submission needed to work. Miraculously, one of my previous submissions was now okay and was accepted. I've decided going forward not to use uhaul and to instead pay more money for better service.

SUDESH DI did not see any indication there was a store. My on line info said it was self check in or something like that. I only noticed 1 open trailer so I hooked up and left. I received a call saying I should have gone inside the mall and that I took the wrong trailer which was larger than the trailer I paid for. I did not need a larger trailer but that's all I saw. Anyway, the agent recharged me for the price of the larger trailer which was about twice the rate. At the very least there shoukd have been a sign to say check in inside the mall. I will not rent from this location again. I have rented trailers a number of times over the past few years with no issues.
Fredrick LThere was no one there when we arrived to pickup the trailer that was pre-booked. We called gal and a lady told us the guy was in the back cleaning a truck and would meet us out front (he lied he wasn’t there at all and called me instead). We waited for over half an hour and we were on a strict time frame. The trailer we originally booked was too small so we decided to upgrade to a 6x12 and the guy over the phone told us he wouldn’t charge us any additional cost and keep it the same amount as the 5x8 and wanted me to give him a google review since he helped us out. Then he called me back five minutes later saying that he is now actually charging us for the upgrade. This was unfair, and we basically had to do all the work at the uhaul site as well as over the phone navigating. We never want to use uhaul again. I honestly think we should have been reimbursed half of the cost of the trailer since we used it to go out of province. This was not a good experience and I would NOT recommend this location to anyone (Bayfield mall Ontario)

Anmol SWhen I went to pick up trailer at the arranged time there was nobody at the agreed location with no instructions about how to get the trailer. I eventually found the door bell camera. This was the most rediculous transaction I've ever been apart of. I will never use u-haul again.

John FNot finding an representative in the U-Haul location was disconcerting. Having to make contact by phone would not have been my first choice. The agent that I did talk to was very helpful and actually got me a vehicle even though I had incorrectly booked it for the following day.
