The air conditioner did not work. With a 2,000 mile trip it got quite miserable. Quite frankly, I think I should be refunded at least a $1,000 for that. The rental trucks are wsy overpriced as it is.MARK N.

We frequently rent uhauls due to the business we own and having to move product. Every other place we rent from- the trucks are clean, in good shape, and well cared for. You can tell them ACTUALLY clean them for the next customer. This place (Don's Rental) has 10/10 times rented us a dirty uhaul. Now with COVID-19, you'd think and hope that they would actually clean/sanitize their trucks, but nope. Time and time again, the trucks are dirty. No matter how many complaints, refunds, etc. that we have had to go through- we have seen absolutely no change in this company. And then they charge us for a cleaning fee when it was rented to us dirty (the app never lets me upload the dirty pics when doing the mobile pick up). We always have to go through the trouble of reporting, complaining, etc. The staff are also rude, condescending and disrespectful every single time there is an issue, even though it is always their fault. It's a shame this is the closest and most convenient uhaul place by us or we would never use them again.Kendra L.

Overall, Don's Rental staff are accomodating and friendly. Have used them many times for other items. This was the first time for a U-Haul truck. The truck was available when promised as well as dollies and blankets. The inside of the truck was clean, but the exterior of the truck was not. Minor item, but expected nonetheless.paul B.

I absolutely love coming to Don's Rentals!! I've utilized their rental services for U-Haul a total of three times now and every single one has been met with courteous, light-hearted, and utmost professionalism. The staff are friendly, the equipment is ALWAYS ready on time, and they are scary fast! I think for both checking in and returning the equipment I spent maybe a total of likeâ€¦ five minutes each time and I was out the door! Will definitely continue going to Don's when I need a U-Haul or anything else they offer!Jesse P.

Scheduled a 26' Truck. Problem at Uhaul bumped me from 26' to 20' truck. Planned two round trips from St Helen's to Vancouver, Wa so I filled tank...$87.00. Ended up doing just one leg, St Helen's to Vancouver and so I returned the truck with more than 3/4 tank. No credit for xtra gas in the truck upon return.TODD D.

I was double charged for my extra day use of the truck, even though I paid it up front. It took me over an hour of phone calls and hangups to get the billing corrected. The woman at the drop-off location was kind enough to work through the system to get the billing corrected. She also took the time to call me back to inform me that it was fixed.Stanley R.

Employee did not confirm fuel and mileage with me. Fuel was just less than full, paperwork showed it was full. I failed to take a picture, and forgot to get my fuel receipt. It wasn't a big deal on the fuel, i replaced what I used. But I did let another employee know about the fuel. Regardless, I give them a 5 star rating.BRANDON ISAAC HA B.

The Uhaul had an awful disgusting heavy smoked in smell. It was so bad it gave me a sore throat & burned my eyes. My kids rode with me & I hated that they had to sit in the heavily smoked in vehicle. The man who gave me the keys told me nothing! I had to ask how to open the back. I am a women who never drives huge vehicles, it would have been nice if he had shown me how to drive it.CYNTHIA ANN D.

Dons rental is exceptional. Uhaul needs work on the online reservation site. We scheduled and reserved a truck, was sent for pick up at another location. When we arrived, no vehicle available. Customer service was not accommodating and we eventually were sent to Dons who provided us with a much smaller vehicle (all they had) uhaul did not offer any compensation for our time/inconvenience or expense. I will be using another vehicle rental company in the future.Krista E.

I traveled at 55 miles a hour but saw a lot of trailes wip by me that were of the same type as mine. I had to travel over 1800 miles, if you really don't have to go 55, I wish you wouldn't recommend it. I'm a mature adult I don't need you holding my hand. It took a lot of extra time and was very hard to watch that I didn't go over 55.James M.

Very professional across my whole transaction from the lady at the front desk and great customer service and explained everything to me to the nice guy who drove the truck around and made sure the milage was correct on my paper and the tank of gas was full. I reserved the trailer at the Scappoose location, when I got there Saturday morning to pick up they didn't have it (however online said they did) and sent me to St Helens. They didn't have it either and gave me a more expensive trailer without even telling me or asking. Staff was not friendly at all and no one had a mask on.William K.
