Went to pick up the truck and there was no truck. The gentleman at Duggan was apologetic and at the same time did what he could to get me a truck. I did go home with no truck. No fault to Duggan. About an hour or so later the gentleman from Duggan delivered the truck to my house. What great customer service from Duggan!! It would have been nice if U-Haul sent me a message letting me know there was no truck available for my reservation. For that and a few other things I give U-Haul a poor customer service rating. I understand people end up keeping the truck an extra day or for an unforeseen length of time. Unfortunately we end up in spots out of or control. U-Haul should let customers who made a reservation aware of the reservation not being able to be filled. U-Haul should have people to deliver the trucks to the expected destination for pick ups and not expect the customer to have to retrieve it from an hour away (2 hour round trip plus you get charged for mileage) That would have been my only option. Thanks to the guy at Duggan he called a few people and stayed open well past the closing time to make sure his customer was taken care of. I didn't get his name but I want to give him credit for going above and beyond. Thanks!!

You have got to streamline the return process. It takes much too long to take and upload photos. Also the process may be very difficult for older customers who aren't tech savvy. Other than that not a bad experience

Working with Mr.Duggan to get all my equipment needs met was terrific. Stopping by his office to make the reservation was the best decision we made whereas chatting with him made the whole experience a lot less stressful. I'd highly recommend going to see him and his staff. In all honesty, we enjoyed working with them so much, I might just pop in there again from time to time just to shoot the breeze with Herb!

I had reserved the truck at Belmont St, Worcester MA. The location of pick up was changed without any notification to me to Cherry Valley, MA, 30 minutes out of my way. Not only was the location changed, but I need the truck at 8:00 am in the morning as requested. The Cherry Valley, MA location does not open until 10:00 am on Saturday mornings. The owner was absolutely unaware that I needed the truck at 8:00 am. He was very nice and accommodating. The issue is with the scheduling department. Right before the owner arrived, the scheduling department was trying to once again detour me to another location, Brookfield, MA another 30 minutes away from my destination. If I picked up the truck in Brookfield, MA it would have taken me 45 minutes to my destination. I could have easily picked up the truck in Warwick, RI, and drove to the destination in less time or gas. This was totally unacceptable. I never received a call from U-Haul. It was me that had to call. I found out on Thursday that my pick up location had changed. Insufficient time for me to make alternate arrangements. The minute the reservations were being altered, I should have received a phone call. Again U-Haul's practice is absolutely unacceptable.

The cab of the trick was dirty. Many damage spots were not already marked, so I had to take quite a few pictures to report damage so as not to incur extra charges. Poor cell reception at the location (for AT&T anyway) meant I needed to drive around so the app would haveEnough connectivity to work. On the plus side, the truck was easy to find, the instructions for picking it up were clear, and the location was close enough to Worcester where my move was.

Note on website to go to rear of building for pickup, no signs on the property. Tell the owner not to lie, I was told I wouldn't be charged for an extra day if I brought the truck back before next business opening, then UHAUL manager refused refund after I disputed charges.
