The tires on the trailer were worn out and ultimately failed multiple times during my use of the trailer. This caused 2 separate breakdowns, one in which I was stranded on the highway for 5 hours and the other 2 hours. The first-time roadside assistance replaced the failed tire with a damaged spare tire that then failed the next day. I had raised my concern over the worn out tires duirng my first call with Uhaul support, they were supposed to come out to my hotel and replace all the bad tires, however they failed to do this. (This then caused yet another breakdown the next day) I would be very careful renting Uhaul equipment at this point as it is not well maintained and poses a safety risk.Bart B.

The AC in the truck did not work on the hottest day of the year. It made driving the truck miserable. Also, the driver side door does not close properly causing it to rattle and bang around. I should not have been given a truck in that condition.William C.

It's in a gas station/smoke shop, so it took incredibly too long to get the attention needed to check out and move on. I prepaid for the trailer and it still look more than 30 minutes to get the trailerâ€¦and I did all connections and pictures, etc. myself. Should have been quick and painlessâ€¦it wasn't.Craig C.
You made me drive an hour away from my requested moving location to pick up a truck. This conflicted with my assigned loading dock time at my apartment. I explained this to everyone I could at Uhaul and was dismissed, told "It is what it is" and was given a $50 refund which didn't cover the cost of my gas to go get the truck and to drive to my initial moving location. I will be honest with everyone I know that Uhaul isn't a place to be trusted.Michael P.

This is the second rental I've rented in a a short few months. The attendant who took care of me last time greeted me in the parking lot and invited me inside since it was so hot out. She takes care of the check in and off I went with a quick and easy return . 👍👍Scott H.

when I updated the gas in the app, I put in 3/8 and took a picture with the mileage, but when I brought it back it showed 15/16. The employees had to straighten it out, I am very disappointed with the phone check in process.Stephen B.

The truck was missing a mirror. The attendant at the location expressed surprise that U-Haul would allow the truck to be rented with a missing mirror and that U-Haul should have replaced the mirror prior to renting out the truck. I was charged for a dolly that was not provided despite contesting the share for it.Kyle B.

No one called me the day before as I was told in a previous email. I had to call and then was told my pick up location was not where initially I was told it would be. They moved that location to Berlin, MD which is 20 miles further away. I had to pick up the truck there and drive it back to Delaware before my move began. Very inconvenient and never able to reach someone from Uhaul, just local representatives who are never helpful. Terrible pick up experience but very easy drop off.Eric W.

Needing to be verified, even after providing drivers license, photo and credit card seems unnecessary. Caused a 20+ minute delay in leaving the pickup location. Calling someone on the phone to be verified is redundant and a very poor verification tool.William S.

The only thing I would say to perhaps help, would be to check the ATF, as the upshift points were pretty high at an (indicated 3500 RPM, even with very soft acceleration), and the only way I figured out how to get an earlier upshift was to put it in Neutral and then back into Drive. It would not respond to fluttering the gas pedal. This could just be the way the transmission works, but that is surely not a way to help gas economy.Kent J.

The person who was supposed to drop off the truck I had reserved for 3 months was almost an hour late and I had moving helpers hired to help me load the truck. This location had no extra trucks to offer to me. I tried to call U-Haul to start looking at other options if the person didn't show and was on hold for 45 minutes before I just gave up and hung up. So although the location was average, U-Haul's procedures for renting, etc. are very poor. This isn't the first time this has happened and people are just too inconsiderate these days for U-Haul's procedures to be guaranteed to work. They need to update their procedures and have stiffer fines for not returning the truck on time, especially if it's the only truck a location has to offer the person next in line to rent it.Michelle B.
