We were scheduled for Mangrum Enterprises, Mt Pleasant, and told that we could use the app to get the truck since the shop was going to be closed due to a family emergency. The app was not cooperating even though we had uploaded all the information prior to pick up. My husband was on the phone for an hour trying to figure it out and then was told to go to a new location (Elite Tire Shop). It was quite stressful and huge hassle. Once he got to Elite Tire Shop, it was all fine.

This is a tire shop and U-Haul rentals is a side profit center. The gentleman helping me was very nice and helpful. The experience with U-Haul corporate was terrible. Reserved on-line as usual. Picked up the trailer and dolly after talking on the phone to someone. Multiple attempts to upload my driver's license. Returned the equipment approximately two hours prior to my reserved time. Was told to be sure and check in the equipment online. Trying to do this required that my phone's tracking was enabled. I was already home and about 60 miles away by that time. Tracking would not work so I couldn't "check in" the equipment. Had to call customer service and talked to three people just to be sure there wouldn't be a late charge for equipment I turned in about two hours before it was due. Terrible system.

It was due to be returned the next day by 4pm, I dropped off at 8:15am, an employee took pictures and did a walk around and I was told I'm all set. 3 days later a $20 charge was added stating after hours charge... I call Uhaul and they were quick to apologize and refund my $20.00 thank you Uhaul for making this right!! It wasn't the $20, it was the principle of Elite tire sneaking in an additional $20 to my bill. I will continue to use Uhaul, just not this location.

Staff is not trained to assist with check out or check in. U-HAUL! You charge a full day extra if the return is after the pickup time? No grace/buffer period? I’ll go elsewhere next time

Worst experience moving I've ever had. We rented a 26' truck and (2) dollies for the move, and once I got home and opened the cargo, to our surprise, NO DOLLIES!!! I had to run to Home Depot and spend $174 on dollies along with the U-Haul. Customer support is almost nonexistent. I stayed on hold for 30 minutes after someone transferred me. I returned the U-Haul very frustrated and came to find out the location they don't EVEN HAVE DOLLIES!! False advertising at its finest. Horrible experience, and they charged me an extra $248 upon return. Ridiculous.

u-haul screws its customers. i was allowed a certain mileage for an out of state rental from u-haul A to u-haul B and it was less mileage “allowed”. I was charged a dollar per mile. If i was informed about this i would have never rented. They never mentioned this charge

The language barrier was challenging. The staff could only speak broken English. The appointment time was not honored. The only person who could process the rental wasn't at the location and was 20 minutes past my scheduled pick up.

Location shared with used tire shop. Very mechanical and a bit sketchy in appearance. However staff were super responsive and efficient.

I was traveling to Tennessee to pick up a vehicle that I purchased. I live in Alabama and need an auto transport trailer to get my vehicle home. I have always use U-Haul for needs and had great service. But this time I must let you know about the OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I RECEIVED FROM THE MANAGER AT ELITE TIRE SERVICE. He was very professional with me and was very friendly. He took great pride and care in making sure the equipment was properly fitted and safe for my trip. That’s what I call top customer service and you just don’t get that kind of care now days. In closing please recognize this Manager and his staff for a Job DAMN WELL DONE✅

As dropping off trailer in there lot my truck got stuck in mud. Had to get pushed out my truck and person that was helping got covered in mud they need to either gravel or pave drop off area

When I picked the vehicle up my contract indicated 1/4 tank of of fuel. In reality it had approximately 1/8 tank of fuel, so the first thing I had to do was add fuel. The box of the truck had not been swept out. The dirt and leaves inside had to sweep out before I could use it. Strangely enough when I returned the truck the fuel level and the inside of the box were checked?

Waited an hour for person to show up for reservation causing issue with checkin which resulted in overcharge for additional miles and gas. Doubt I will ever use U haul again.
