We were told by our pick up location that the drop off location was open 24 hours and we just needed to "put the key in the lock box." We later learned there was a 4-step online process that we had to complete before dropping the keys, so we found ourselves in a bad part of town late at night having to take pictures and document information, which took a long time! We were exhausted from the day and would have appreciated a heads up about this process. Also, the parking lot was very hard to navigate the moving van out of!

I was unhappy about the gas situation. I drove for 5 miles, and the person behind the counter said the gas gauge had gone from 3/8 to 5/16 and she'd have to charge me an extra $14.00, which I thought, for 5 miles was excessive. I had to make an extra trip to the gas station and it still cost me $10 to put the gas gauge back to 3/8 full. She told me that the truck got 10 miles a gallon. At 5 miles total for the truck that means I used half a gallon of gas, which at $14 would have had me paying $28.00 a gallon for gas, which seems absurd. I left feeling that I gave away 2 gallons of gas to U-Haul, and wasn't a happy customer.

Just like I said above in other comments Nikki always has helped me made things super easy if comes to storage or uhual both places were great o don't do reviews but this was one of the smoothest easiest pick up load up and drop offs for me yet A+ both places staff and equipment

I was told they did not accept trailers and was charged over $100 fee for relocation. This is a bogus charge. UHaul needs to get it's act together.

In re to customer service, Nikki, and Chelsea have always been a pleasure to work with. I've never had any issues at all. Simply, renting and returning a truck has always been an easy transaction...that's a good thing!!! Although I've never had any problems with a rental truck from UHaul , some of the trucks are showing their age...maybe equipment upgrades/renewals are in the near future ;-) Warmest regards, Marty

The vehicle I reserved was not there when I arrived, yet i was told that it was. This was immensely disappointing and extremely frustrating. I was asked if I could drive north to pick up a larger truck. "SERIOUSLY!" And I was also asked if I could drive south to pick up a larger truck. "RIDICULOUS!" I of course said no to either request. Why should a customer be asked to drive to another location to pick up a vehicle that was already revered and was told that "the truck is on site." I had to make multiple trips due to the lack of adequate service and communication. I have used U-Haul in the past and have NEVER experienced this type of ineptitude. having been told that the vehicle I requested was on site, then being told that a smaller truck is my only option upon arrival, shows a severe lack of truth. This experience has left me with a bitter feeling about U-Haul. I will look to other options in the future when it comes to renting any type of truck.

Picked up truck on Saturday. On Sunday its started raining and we discovered that the rear door did not seal. We had to stop loading, repack several boxes that had gotten wet and monitor the towels that we put down to help capture the intruding moisture. A real pain in the butt.

Clean the windshield of the truck. It was so dirty it was hard to see thru...but the truck was ready on time, Nicky Was pleasant and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend and use again.

I strongly recommend you let people know much earlier when the time and location of pick up changes. I was told two days beforehand which is simply way too short for me to make alternate plans. I also recommend that your call center personnel be made aware of regional issues so that they can explain to customers the reason for delays. In my case the fires in Sonoma and Napa county caused many, many delays in people returning trucks. I had to find that out from a personal contact I have rather than from U-haul directly. The pickup overall was a very, very stressful process because I did not know if I would be able to get a truck when I needed it.

The facility where I picked up the trunk was mice, but the cab was filthy. There were coffee stains in the holder, even a cup lid. The floor was sticky too. About 3/4 into my trip, the engine light came on.

When I walked in to the location to pick up my rental, I was barely greeted by the woman behind the counter. Gave her my information and she didn't say much else. She then had me sign papers but never explained what they were for until I asked what it was that I would be signing for. She never asked if I would like to walk around the vehicle, which is possibly because I chose to take the insurance. She then handed me copies of my paperwork and the key and said here you go. Never told me which truck was the one that I would be renting. I then asked if I was supposed to walk outside and just pick one and hope the key would work. She just looked at me and gave me a dirty look and said it's that one on the left as she pointed out the window, never offering to leave the desk or anything. This was a horrible experience. I have worked in the truck rental business and this is not the way that a customer should be treated. I would never go back to this location for a rental again.

The back of the truck wasn't swept, we found an earring on the floor. Also the cab was very dusty, dust even came out of the air conditioner when we turned it on, and the cup holders weren't clean.

Given my experience with your company, I would never rent a truck from you again or recommend you to anyone. I reserved a 26 foot truck because I had a 4 bedroom house to move and got a 20 foot truck. Of course everything would not fit in the truck and I could not move all my belongings on the same day. I had to pay for 2 trucks and move on 2 separate days. I also had to pick up the truck 35 minutes from where I was moving which ended up costing me an additional $90 for the movers to just pick up and deliver a truck. This is the all time worse moving experience I have ever had.

This was the 5th time I rented a truck from this location. I have always been treated very well here. The staff has always been very friendly and efficient. Much better that my previous U-Haul experience at the Ukiah location. I will never return to the Ukiah location. I will always return to the Cloverdale location even though it is 30 miles further from my home than the Ukiah location.

This location is excellent. I have a choice of renting "U Haul" equipment at any one of 3 locations located within 2 miles of each other. That being said, I always use the Sandholm location. The equipment is always very clean...simply, first rate. The location is professional, but relaxed. Most importantly, whenever I need anything, your employees are always polite and very helpful. Many kudos to Nikki at this location today. She was great!!!

They are vauge on explaining clearing the mileage fees. It appeared to be deceitful to us when recieving the final bill. This seems to be a managerial decision as we have not had this happen at other locations.
