This is the 2nd time I have rented from U-Haul this month. Both times I have been sent to a different location than the place I booked. The first time I walked to the original place because I never got informed of the change. The place I picked up was great, it just took over an hour to settle in. The second time, no pads were in the truck. (They didn’t have any.) The person at the pickup place was trying to match the U-Haul license to my order number. Finally we called the original location and a person did the checkout. I still had to drive to the original location to pick up supplies. This is not very good customer service. To top it all off, I got dinged for extra miles today. Why, because of the extra driving to pick up the truck and get supplies.

BARRY WThis is a proxy location for U-Haul, not a corporate outlet. The kid working behind the counter was responsible for the entire U-Haul transaction while still needing to tend to customers, and he was clearly undertrained but definitely did his best, none of this was his fault. The first truck I got had a hole drilled in the gas tank which I realized upon reaching my first destination and the 5 gallons I just bought were pouring out onto my driveway. I limped the truck back to the store, the kid did what he could on the phone with his boss, etc, an hour or so later I was in a different truck. When I got my receipt I saw I was charged for truck protection I was never asked if I wanted, and charged for mileage I know I didn’t drive. On top of the hassle for everything, extra charges weren’t what I wanted to see.

SHANE BTo start, the person working at the market I picked up the U-Haul at does not speak English and when I said I’m here for my keys and showed him my phone for the keys, he acted like I was from another planet. After the person working the market makes three calls finally gives me the keys, I tell him I need the U-Haul longer and he said that’s fine. I said do you know costs and he said no. I said I’ll be back by 6pm please have someone reach out to me for the rental and never heard back and U-Haul wants to charge me additional for the time. Terrible service
