The clerk at the extra closet was very hospitable. He stayed after hours and helped us unload the truck and gave us complimentary water. Great experience.

The rental location and person who rented to us were great! The only thing I would say wasn't great was the return process. It was WAY too complicated. You wanted me to allow you to access my location via my browser, but then you wanted pictures of the location and vehicle. Then you wanted pictures of the fuel level and mileage. Maybe consider combining required photos into one section so you aren't having to go back and forth between the website and camera so many times.

Tight spaces. Didn’t talk to the people, after hours drop off. But I called and left a message, a return phone call saying the truck was received and in good shape would’ve been nice.

Prior to picking up the UHAUL, I placed the order on line. When I arrived, all of my paperwork was ready and the requested vehicle was available. (This has not always been the case in the past with other orders from other locations). Quick process!

Service was top-notch. Everything went smooth. Highly satisfied. The only suggestion is to make sure the status of what's available is more accurate. The website would display that both the pickup truck and van were available but they weren't at check out and then when I arrived to the facility, the pickup truck actually was available, this brought some confusion.

I order a self pick up but showed up to the place before it closed, the man told me I had to call in order to get my key abd that he couldn't give it to. I called u haul and was on hold for a good 25 minutes. The lady on the phone told me I had to go online. That still didn't work. My pick up time was 450pm and I couldn't get the key till 7ish. Really long and tiring process. Very disappointed. - Julia Brown

The vehicle did not have any washer fluid. I left a drink can in the cup holder and was told to remove it otherwise I would be charged with a dirty vehicle clean up charge. The vehicle was returned in clean condition as usual when I rent from U Haul.

Upon arrival, the parking lot was so torn apart that I ended up with 2 large nails in my front tire. With a move, I needed to go replace that tire (could not be patched) before I could even begin my move. I went around the truck in hopes to do a quick pick up, as your website allows, however this location does not leave keys in the truck so I had to go inside AFTER going through most of the process. I then went out to check the truck myself, as the gentleman did not get up out of his chair to do the walk through that I have had a million times before. I noticed that it was NOT a 17' truck as promised - but I was local and knew I would need more than one trip so no big deal that it was a 15'. I went back inside to advise him that there were NO moving pads in the truck and the "latch" was off of the dolly. I advised I would not be using either of those and he said no big deal I will mark it down. Specifically saying that they don't have pads for that truck. Upon getting my receipt, I see that I was CHARGED for the pads that were not in the truck in the first place. I have rented from UHAUL countless times. I even rented a one way yesterday - yes two trucks in one weekend. Why am I putting money into such dishonesty? I will file a formal complaint today, but this is unacceptable.

Unfortunately I got the 10 foot truck not realizing it had no ramp.which I needed. Returned it within 2 hrs with only 9 miles. Was charged over $45.00 for this mistake. Had to postpone my move until today 3/24/2018. Found another dealer with a ramp 15 footer. John at Extra Closet was very nice however. Boy was my wife upset though!

The gas reading on the contract was incorrect. It indicated between 3/4 and 7/8 when it was actually between 5/8 and 3/4.

Stated 59 cents per mile on weekdays. I was charged $1 per mile on a Friday and told that was a weekend rate. Come on people last I heard weekends were Sat. and Sun. I had to move a refrigerator 20 miles and it cost me $69.00 far from your advertised $19 dollars a day. Yes you got me once that will be the last time.

They don’t stock the pads we’d requested online, so we had to stop at another location to purchase them. Also didn’t have the corrrect size lock for purchase (we had one at home that worked).

Equipment was hard to operate on a long haul. Steering wheel was not tight and had to fight it 1000+ miles. Very loose...Had to contact multiple locations to get truck needed, Spent hours and miles trying to locate what was needed - even with help from U-Haul center,

No call back with location to pick up was received. Pick up location was not where I ordered it from. I had to call to find out where it was. The tank was not full as indicated. The location people where I picked it up were very nice.

Very upset. We were affected by Hurricane Irma, living in the Tampa area. Last Saturday at around 10:30 I rented a truck to move a fridge from a friend, mine was a wreck. The guy at the U-Haul place said that if I returned it after 2 PM when he closed that I could leave the keys in the slot. I was done with my move, and since I figured I had some time with the truck, I used the truck to help my neighbors haul away dead tree trunks and branches which were clogging our street. Later on that afternoon, I returned the truck. I did the online check-in, and found to my surprise that I was being charged DOUBLE everything. That means double truck rental, dolly and insurance. When I got home I did an online chat and the guys said sorry, he couldn't help. to call the place where I rented. Which I did today. Nice guy, he said that going online meant that it was in the hands of U-Haul, he couldn't change it. I should have seen this coming, and read the fine print, should of understood that U-Haul no longer rents by the day, they rent by the hour. I don't know, maybe if I hadn't been so wiped out camping with no power for the last week and dealing with the devastation of this event I would have been smarter. But good news, we have another hurricane coming, and this time I'l be smarter and make sure I rent someplace else.

the trailer was old, rusted, and towed like pulling a sled. they didn't help me connect or show me how to connect the trailer they didn't check brake light or turn signals. and I reserved this trailer, he told me that I was lucky this trail was here because it was suppose go to Miami as a one way but the guy brought it back. so if he didn't make a mistake and bring the trailer back I wouldn't have had a trailer. he say its ok because he would have called me on Friday morning and told me I didn't have a trailer. which would have total screwed up my plans. so thanks for renting me a piece of junk and telling me how lucky I am.

I reserved my u-haul 3 weeks and 1 day prior to my move. My preferred pick-up location. Was ignored. When I called corporate office to complain the first lady I talked to hung up on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor. I called back and talked to a supervisor and I felt that she completely blew me off. I am VERY unhappy with this company and I will NEVER rent from u-haul again. Even if they are cheaper than anyone. If I'm paying that much to rent a truck and trailer I BETTER be able to pick it up where I chose to pick it up when I made my reservation.
