Next time when someone makes reservations in a three week advanced dont call and tell them last minute to go to another location for their truck literally the day before because at this location I experienced nothing but problems. They close early too when I was there for 2 hours and no manager was there to help me directly with my issue I basically got brushed off like I didn't matter. As you know, we had a problem with the trailer door not rising above 2 feet once we arrived at our destination and we couldn't get our stuff out of the trailer. So I had to drive to the Barstow U-Haul on Main Street to repair. Charlie worked hard and was helpful in opening the broken door to get my stuff out. Everyone I encountered was helpful throughout the whole process and it prompted me to write this message to Dave, the final person I spoke to from your company. In his note, he first apologized for the inconvenience, then told me that the company was crediting me for the rental, in addition to providing me with a discount on my next rental for the inconvenience in both time and expense to me personally throughout the process. â€œThanks Dave, I appreciate all your help. Unfortunate things happen in life everyday. In all my dealings with U-Haul, this is the first time I have encountered a mishap that I can ever remember. It's emails like this, from people like you Dave... whom I believe has genuinely had my best interest in mind within his obligations to company policy from the first time we said hello. For these reasons, U-Haul will stay as my first call again and again. In addition to encouraging my friends to do the same. Customer service is lacking and many employees are disengaged. But Carlos was dialed in especially with a busy Saturday morning with a lobby full of customers. The fuel gauge showed the gas tank was not filled, but the contract stated it was full when I picked up the truck. I also responded to the text message with an uploaded picture. When I brought the truck back full, I was told thank you and Uhaul is not going to compensate me for taking a truck that was not 100% checked out.Alan G.

Pleas give more detail explanation of night drop procedure. Noting that before you deposit key you have to log on internet and take pictures of odometer, etc. then deposit key in drop off box. I deposited key first and then tried to sign off. Of course I couldn't because vehicle was already lock and key deposited.Jose V.

Customer service was way below any u haul that I have been to. This location is also a smog check business. Smog customers are taken ahead of u haul customers no matter how long that person was standing line. I rented a trailer which I had to load up and hook up by myself. I have rented from u haul a lot and this was the worst. I will not be going back to this location.JOHNATHAN K.

U haul associate was pretty rude. So many things were wrong with the rental that I rather never hi to this location again. I may try penske or another brand. Upon picking up the truck- First, the pictures for approving condition of the truck are pictures of a truck in a shade. How do you determine damages or condition like that? Then I showed the associate that the truck didn't have a full tank and she said we already completed registering me and gave me the keys so she can't change it even though I didn't have the opportunity to check the fuel gauge yet because I didn't have the keys. Then she told me " well that's on you, because you know I don't make the phone app...." I also returned the truck the same day within 24 hours and placed the keys in a drop box and proceeded to use the online truck return but the site can't locate my phone and I couldn't complete the return- so they charged me $20. There's really no customer service from u haul.... It's just a shady rental brand. I won't use your service again even if it were significantly cheaper than competitors.Jack C.

When we called for info on truck rental, were told by gentleman that towing our trailer, we would need a 4pin to plug into truck, so we went and purchased adapter, however we discovered truck came with both 4pin and 7pin - regret the unnecessary purchase - please train staff on pick up truck features for customers.Colin M.

Quit being swindlers. This particular location closes at 12 p.m. and the process of the check in must be done online. First off why would the business run somewhere that closes at that time? Second off, the online process is a joke. I was in a bit of a time constraint when I dropped the rental off. I took a picture of the fuel and mileage gauge cause I knew they would ask for it. When I get to where my appointment was I tried to do the process. U-haul wants you to share the location to know ur at the correct return location. Why wouldn't you be if it was communicated beforehand with the business? Needless to say after my appointment I had to drive back to the location where the rental was returned. I started the process again and got passed the location part but only to get to the next step wanting the picture of the fuel and mileage gauges. Low and behold, you couldn't share an image, you had to take a in the moment picture. Why the "F" does it matter if it's in the moment or a shared image of the info is accurate!? So I tried calling customer service for help......they didn't answer after 20 mins. So instead of being able to finish what should have been a simple process, I had to pay these swindlers $20 to check the rental in the next day when they opened. U-haul has a flawed system to the consumer but benefits from the flawed process. Thank you U-haul for being a Crook. By the way, EZ Smog in Chino, CA is the location I rented from. Hope this will be of use to the future consumer and saves them from being swindled.Michael S.

This location was very helpful, however my reservation was for the city I live in Long Beach. I was told the day before picking it up that I had to change to Chino, an hour away. When calling into customer service I was hung up on twice by your call center representatives. I have never been treated so poorly. I will never use Uhaul again!Joshua T.
My only frustration was that no one answered phone during business hours. We tried to return during them so that we could have attendant, but no one answered. After several hours, we called Paso Robles office and they were answering and they told us how to return safely via smartphone. I rented a Motorcycle trailer for 2.5 hours and was charged 2 days!!! when I called to talk to them the girl who checked me in / out was very rude and told me to call U-Hauls 800 number. THE SERVICE HERE IS VERY POOR, save yourself the headache and go to another U-haul and SMOG. It'll save you time and money.Harry K.

I finished all the questions and entered my billing information and clicked the final button to complete the process but it returned an error message and asked me to refresh the page. I got a trailer hitch installed by you people and there was a lifetime warranty on it and when i got my trailer the left signal light didn't work I asked the person if she could help me with my warranty she said to contact the U-Haul that installed it . I was 60 miles away. Now I am late for my glass door installation job by three hour because no mechanic was there and no one would help me. Basiclly I was on my own trying to fix it myself witch I could not. l had to get a box van cost was 2x more.Brian F.
