Having to pick up the uhaul in Prineville instead of John Day was a hassle. While you do allow extra miles that doesn't cover the fuel costs. The staff at both locations were exceptionally friendly and helpful.Rayme L.

Asked for a return receipt when I returned the vehicle. They said it would automatically generate in 10-15min. I also left my car keys in the truck and called afterwards. The employee said he searched the truck and didn't find them. I came back on Tuesday to request an updated rental agreement. I got the receipt but was charged two extra days instead of one. Additionally I looked in the cab for my keys and they were lying under the driver seat. Nice guys, just really poor attention to detail and customer service.ROBERT GEORGE Y.

The staff members there were great, but since it was not a true U-Haul location, there were a few major issues. First, we added a dolly to our U-Haul order, but they didn't have any at that location. Second, and most frustrating, the tires weren't properly checked before we picked up the truck. They were full of air when we picked it up, but as we loaded the truck, one of the tires went completely flat. It turns out that the tire valve was broken and needed to be replaced. That led to a very stressful moving day as we contacted Roadside Assistance for help. There are pluses and minuses to having Roadside Assistance be fully online, but overall, it was a pretty negative experience. If we weren't in an area where internet was available, we wouldn't be able to get help. It would be more beneficial to have someone available by phone for Roadside Assistance for those people who are in a situation where internet isn't available. Also, it was frustrating to get multiple answers from Roadside Assistance, ranging from: we would have to pay for the tire out of our own pockets and then MAYBE get reimbursed from U-Haul or the rental location to finally getting approved to go to Les Schwab to get the tire fixed on U-Haul's account. In those situations that were no fault of the customer's, the customer should not have to pay extra expenses.LAURA ANN W.

The 800 number customer service was horrible. This does not apply to the pick up or drop off locations. The store I requested was not available to pick up at and the drop off location was changed after I made the reservation. I was asked to come pick up the trailer 3 days early and drive 30 miles further to get it. The 800 number never extended the reservation for the additional 3 days so the return date was 3 days sooner than it was supposed to be. This took another call to the 800 number who was less than helpful and wouldn't give me the additional 3 days. She had to call transportation who confirmed the error that was made and processed the correction and additional 3 days to the rental. The staff was very friendly at both pick up and drop off locations, sad the 800 number service is so poor. Fix your customer service experience.KYLE B.

First Lube Plus is the finest truck/trailer rental I have ever experienced. The location is easy to find, plenty of parking. The establishment is organized and clean, indoors and outside. The staff were friendly, efficient and competent. The information about rental, drop-off, insurance,etc., was presented clearly. Try cleaning the trucks that you rent out especially considering covid-19 My truck was DISGUSTING their we're Orange syringe caps, catheter wrappings, tons of dog hair, dog saliva, trash, food pieces, what appear to be human beard clippings! Windshield wipers did not work, was told there was a half tank of gas inside truck but their was only a little over a quarter tank. One of the men inside the First Lube Plus was not wearing a mask! They we're NOT adhering to any of the covid-19 regulations. I am currently working with U-haul to "fix" this issue. I had already had two people waiting for me that were being paid by the hour or else I would not have accepted the truck! Do Not rent U-haul from First Lube Plus in Salem Oregon I recommend going to the 12th street location.KEVIN J.

The employees did not have face mask on. Two employees! Not one but two in the small office space. The employee there also had a huge vape pen on the desk. I preordered my truck and an appliance dolly. They didn't have the dolly. It took over 30 mins to get are truck. As well I as I was over charged for mileage. I over estimated at 17 miles to be safe and used 9 ,did not receive a refund. Absolutely worst experience ever would never recommend to a friend.
