I rented a ten foot truck weeks in advance of my move. I showed up 10 minutes early to pick up the truck only to have the employee giving my truck away to the customers first in line, stating there was no reservation on the truck and it was the only one left. I spoke up and showed my reservation and sure enough, after continuing to look on the computer, they found my reservation and realized they were going to give my truck away to someone else. I had questions about my pickup and attempted to call the location multiple times a day for three consecutive days before my move and received no answer and their voicemail box was full. While I was standing in line their phone continuously rang. A second employee (who walked around with a broom for forty five minutes while only one person helped a huge lineup of people) told the first employee to not answer the phone. This explained to me why I was unable to reach any one when I tried to call. It took over forty minutes to pick up the truck which cut into my reservation time. When I got into the truck it stated that the tire pressure was low on the front right tire. The second employee had already checked the vehicle and I was told it was fine to drive. I was already over half an hour late for my move so I left and ignored the tire pressure. I also was instructed through email to use this 24/7 online service to both pick up and return the truck. In order to do this I had to sign up for an account through uHaul. I did this but then when I went to both pick up and return the truck the 24/7 online service did not work. So I wasted time attempting to use the uhaul website and the app to manage my reservation both before and during my move when things were already busy and hectic. Honestly, the fact the truck ran and got me moved was the only positive part of my experience renting from uhaul, and my experience it makes me question whether I will ever rent from uhaul again.

I selected a pick location and drop off location in website and continued with a van then after completing my move I dropped the truck in the location I entered in website and they told me I can’t drop that van there. I was forced to drive back to pick up location that is 40 km away to drop the key off. Unbelievable!! Uhaul wasted my time and money. I don’t know why their reservation system in website is so incompetent.

It should not be up to the customer to confirm that the vehicle is clean, mileage and gas gauge are accurate. I had to sweep out the cargo area before I could load and the gas was one notch lower than where the contract said it was. I filledthe tank to 1/2 anyways started the truck and double checked it and was still charged a fuel surcharge stating that I didn’t fill it to half. Unacceptable. Went in to ask about it and was told everything was my fault. I will never be using a uhaul service again.

I ordered a truck for pickup using the app because I needed it early in the morning. Was incredibly disappointed the truck wasn’t ready and I had to wait until the location opened to get the keys. I missed getting back to our home in time for the company helping us move and lost the assistance I had hired. It took over 10 calls to different uhaul lines and hours on hold before even one person offered me a refund of $50. No one knew what they were talking about and multiple people just transferred me back and forth. Terrible service. Terrible experience. Will not be using Uhaul in the future.

When booking online, I noted that I would be traveling to another city. When selecting a pick up location, I chose one closest to me. It wasn't until the day of travel that uhal disclosed not all locations allowed travel outside the city. I was then redirected to a location 40 min away. This was a huge inconvenience during a stressful time. Further more upon pickup, the vehicle was given with roughly half a tank of gas. I was told at drop off, that I had returned the tank with slightly less gas then I had received, I was then forced into an additional charge, one I could not dispute because pick up was done after hours. The inconsideration of the pick up location, in conjunction with the additional cost left me feeling unvalued as a customer. Although the individuals I delt with were pleasant enough, uhaul as an organization was very disappointing.

Noticed a possible exhaust leak. Noticeable in the cab when idling or in town driving for a period. Highway driving it was not noticed. Otherwise equipment worked well and was well suited to our need. Location was friendly and accommodating.

I am thoroughly disappointed with my experience. I booked online at a location that I was able to walk to because I did not have a vehicle available. I received a call the day before saying the location was switched to the SE location which is a 30 min drive away. I had to pay for a cab to get down to the location because it was not as per my reservation. If you book someone into reservation at a specified location, make sure you can fulfill their request or don't allow it to be booked. This was additional cost that I shouldn't of had to pay or I would have just booked with a different rental place.

The cab and box was full of garbage and had to clean it myself, then got charged $50 for cleaning, then was over charged on kilometers, never again

The wrong mileage (750 more on contract than the vehicle) was put on the contract. When I contacted the store regarding this they said they would change the mileage. This never happened. When I returned the truck less than 12 hrs later U-Haul charged my over $750 for the rental. I then contacted customer service immediately and was told my file had been flagged for excessive charges and would be reviewed by the general manager before any charges would go through. I was told I would be contacted the next day regarding the issue. The next day I had the full charge on my credit card and contacted the store directly. I was told no note had been left and no changes were made to my original contract. I then got a refund. I am very displeased with U-Haul and will consider all other businesses before returning to U-Haul again. I have used U-Haul twice and both times I have had issues. Very disappointing. Very poor customer service.

Location was great. The lady working the desk was super friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking, snacks for the trip, and easy access to gas pumps for the return, A+. The truck we were rented on the other hand, was far past its prime. Not only was it noisy and windy inside (problem with the passenger door seal), but it seemed to struggle to make it up even the slightest of inclines. I would be pretty unhappy if I had rented this truck for a long trip. For our in-town move, it got the job done but it certainly could have been better.

I booked a 15' truck and when I arrived they had given it away. They only had a cube van for me so I had to make 2 trips and spend more on gas and mileage, I was not very happy.

I rented a cargo van to pick up some drywall ad 2x4 framing studs but the only thing that bothered me was the wall that is in place which prevented me from getting the 3- 12foot framing studs that I needed and now i dont know how to get them here. It really was perfect for what I needed but that wall needs to be modified to accept longer items such as the studs that I needed. So the whole rental deal cost me over $40 and i still dont have my studs. so it was kind of a waste of time renting this. Thats my beef.

Truck share 247 didn't work. Scheduled for 8am but could not pick up truck until 9am when staff at location opened up the store. Some problem with previous check in of vehicle. Will not reserve truck before or after store hours again. Not worth the hassle.

I booked for a location downtown, was sent to the flying J location with minimal notice. I noticed that the gas in the tank wasn't at half (like mentioned on paper work, took a picture), refilled the gas tank to exactly the same spot, took another picture as proof, and am now being charged 17.28 for not fueling up, and am also being charged for cleaning, even though nothing was communicated to me about cleaning fees. Will never recommend Uhaul to anyone.

The gas was at 5/8 full ... this is an awkward amount of fuel to be left inside of a one way trip vehicle... would have been better if these trucks are filled before they're rented out. I ended up over filling the tank a bit before I returned it because of this awkward amount.

I booked a pickup at the Flying J SE location, when I arrived they told me me truck was actually at a U-Haul in the NE... Thankfully they had one, or else I would have cancelled the truck. The odd thing is that a friend told me that this would happen, and it did. The employee who helped me was fantastic, and was definitely critical to disarming and managing the situation... Ultimately I'm satisfied with my experience, but if I had had to take my team to a totally different location to pickup the truck I wouldn't have been.

Your online booking system is a joke. It can tell me wjen a truck is NOT avail but then accepts my reservation and changes my location and time. Location isnt that much of an issue but why do you think i would want your truck at 5 pm when my booking request was 9 am. Another flaw is you dont tell us online that most locations dont open until 9am. The only thing that saved me was Donna at the Flying J she worked real hard to get me my truck. Your guy at Midpark couldnt answer my questions about the online system and told me the best thing i could do was Call Every Dealer ... are you kidfing me you have an online system. Even your dealers no it is broken. Hopefully i never need your service again.

I rent a truck last November 2, in shell barlow SE a 4pm unfortunately I didn’t check the tail light because i check the truck by myself. When im driving in DeerFoot one car give me a sign that I don’t have tail light. That’s why instead of using the truck that night I decided to use in the morning but i have to take a lot of trips.

We were extremely happy with how U-Haul was so accommodating to us on short notice & especially when we were running behind and needed to change our pick up day and time. Donna was a pleasure to deal with and went above and beyond to make our experience renting a U-Haul the best one we have ever had. Moving is stressful as it is & we truly appreciate everything Donna did to make the part she played be stress free. I picked up the truck at Flying J Calgary and there is no visual signage indicating where the location actually is, I had to search for 15 minutes to finally find it. Signage in or around the building would certainly help.

the truck did not match the Kms on the contract and after I confronted your employee before leaving she said she would fix it yet I still got charged more than I should have. Will not use again. Liars

Was very happy with my experience. Perhaps the only thing would be if the truck had a place on the dash that could hold my cell phone so I could use my maps and not have to look down at my phone - which I put in the cup holder.

Truck cab was not clean. A quick wipe down of console / dash/cup holders would have helped. Engine light popped on after 10 miles.
