The truck had dirt & debris inside, but was easily swept out. The front windshield was hazy on the inside which made for a glare when driving into the sun. The key pick up location was confusing as the Frisco Self Storage sign in is on the front of the building. When standing directly in front of the Public Storage facility, we had to really look around to find where the lock box was located. Pictures or a map of the lock box location would e been very helpful. Also, need to read the fine print better. The $19.95 cost is only to return the vehicle back to the original location. It would e been cheaper to rent for the day one-way instead of having to drive back to Old Newman paying $1.39 per mile. Other than that, the vehicle was in pretty good shape. Even returned the vehicle with more gas than what was in it when I rented it. My mistake.

The location is fine but U-Haul is requiring customers to download their app to conduct business. My phone died during my rental so when I made the return, I couldn't access the app. Everyone may not have a cell phone so I think it's a bad practice to manage everything on the app.

When we got into the U-Haul office, the lady behind the desk is all over us because we were late and she said they could have given our truck away. After we got our keys, we go out to the truck and take the pictures that we need. Then we open up the back end and it has not been cleaned out at all. It was full of garbage all over the floor, which we cleaned up.

Jean-Hermann MThe gps send you to this random rundown house with a mechanical garage that has uhauls around the property. We drove around for a while, with no one to talk to. Until some guy gets out of the garage and tells us the actual location is a corner of a storage facility. There are safes they will have the keys to the one of the vehicles that I have requested. Nothings in the email said anything about looking for this small four compartment safe.

For new drivers, just make them aware of all the signage in the Van on how things operate, instructions on how to best use the side mirrors for confidence when driving in traffic. Provide any tips on getting the ramp in/out smoothly, and back door opening. I used to drive box trucks many years ago and past experience was helpful. The truck alignment should be checked out. Seemed to run a little rough on the highways.

HAREN DU-Haul AC stopped working at approximately 4pm on Saturday 10/04, which meant we had to drive over two hours without AC.

Marsha HYour system was down Monday June 3rd from 10 am in the morning until after closing time preventing any rentals. I had to wait an extra day to get a truck and load up which put me a day behind. The staff was friendly, office was clean and organized. The team did the best they could the circumstances.

DAVID PWe reserved a 15' truck and dolly via the U-haul website. We didn't find out until pick up that this location doesn't offer dollies. Made our move that much more difficult. Also, the person who processed our rental just assumed we wanted the Smart Move insurance, which we didn't. She had to call someone to find out how to remove it, which she did at drop off.
Joseph GI was running a little late for my 5pm pickup but I didn't think it would matter since they closed at 6pm. When I called, they said they actually close at 5 and the Google hours was wrong. I had booked online pickup through the app so they said they would step me through it. I said I could do that myself, and it was very seamless. Dropoff was even easier. They were open when I dropped off. As soon as I stepped in the front door, the counter lady asked if she could help me. I said I am returning a truck. She said, great and took it from there. I handed her the keys and that was it!!! I was so pleasantly surprised. BTW, the driver's side door is bent and very difficult to close.

MICHAEL CWe requested the equipment to help move furniture (dolly, etc) the truck did not have the equipment. Went inside and was told they don't offer moving equipment just the trucks yet we were going to be charged extra for it. This was a big inconvenience me and wife had to go get dolly and other furniture moving aids, we were on a strict schedule and had help that was waiting on us to find equipment. Overall not happy.
