I am very disappointed with how my accident claim has been handled. I rented a U-Haul vehicle on May 11, 2026, and unfortunately, I was involved in an accident on May 12, 2026. This was my first accident, and although I was under significant stress, I made every effort to comply with U-Haul’s procedures. I reported the accident and, within approximately two days, I provided U-Haul with the towing company information and the exact location of the impound yard where the vehicle had been taken. At the time of rental, I also purchased the available protection coverage, including SafeMove, because I wanted to be properly protected in the event of an accident. Despite my full cooperation and timely communication, I have now been placed into collections and am receiving repeated demands to pay approximately $6,000 in impound and related charges. I do not understand why I am being held responsible for these costs when I had already provided U-Haul with all the information needed to locate and recover the vehicle. If there was any delay in retrieving the vehicle from the impound yard, that delay was outside of my control. I have cooperated throughout the entire process, responded to requests for information, and provided all available documentation. I respectfully request that U-Haul conduct a complete review of my file, including the timeline of my communications and the recovery of the vehicle, and reconsider these charges accordingly. This situation has caused me significant financial and emotional stress, especially as I am currently unemployed. I am simply requesting a fair review based on the facts and the information I provided promptly after the accident. Thank you for taking the time to review my concerns. I sincerely hope this matter can be resolved fairly and professionally.

SATWANT SI pick up the truck in very bad condition. Wiper blade was broken causing me my visibility. TRUCK was extremely dirty they give me truck with empty gas tank, which is U-Haul responsible to give me a full tank. And I didn’t want the insurance for truck guy added without asking me also I skipped that in my app.

IBRAR AI booked uhaul for 9’o am. When I arrived their for pickup, they didn’t have truck available. I wait their for 2 hours then I got truck at 11’o clock. It was very frustrating. I didn’t like this type of customer service

Rajdeep Rlimited street parking. had to circle the street several times to find a place to park. only 1 truck available. the truck was late. wasted 30 minutes of my time. the truck was obviously not inspected or cleaned after last use. the truck is located across the street. i was originally booked at the lacoste ups location. i went into the ups after booking to conform with them and they told me they don't accommodate Sunday pickup. when u haul called to confirm they told me to use mobile pickup. i had to explain to them that the location doesn't do this because they are closed on sunday and don't have a lock box. imagine if I hadn't of gone to the location to inquire !!! the truck itself was fine and performed well.
