This U-Haul location was a bit confused. I'm assuming that they are new and don't really know how to use the U-Haul reservation system. My friend booked a U-Haul trailer at this location about a month in advance (about May 4 for May 30). He booked it by going to "Garage Vincent Maniwaki V I P Stop" in person. When we arrived to pick up the trailer they had no record of the reservation. After some discussion I asked if I could rent one of their trailers which were sitting in their yard. They said yes, so we did that, no problem. Later that afternoon my friend got a call from either the Gracefield or Messines U-Haul location (I can't remember which one it was) and they said that his U-Haul was ready for pick up. So the reservation was made. It was made by the Maniwaki location but they made it for their competitor's location. That's a problem. Secondly, when we went to pick up the U-Haul at the Maniwaki location they didn't know how to use their system well enough to realize that they had booked my friend for this other location. They told us multiple times that he wasn't in the U-Haul reservation system anywhere. Hopefully, the Maniwaki U-Haul location figures out how to run their business. It's great having a U-Haul in Maniwaki.

First of all the young lady who served me at the pickup location was quite pleasant, but unfortunately, did not speak any english, so there was a lot of miss communication regarding the default milage you receive when renting, so it ended up costing me a extra $25.00, at the end of the day. Also no paperwork was given to me when I picked up the unit. I did receive it afterwards via email. The drop-off location at Jean Proulx went well and the young lady who served me was very pleasant, and explained to me all that should have been explained when I first picked up the unit. The truck was clean, and ran well, the only thing that is a bit of a pain, is regarding the gas and it having to be returned with the exact amount that was registering when picked up. The truck was just shy , or just over a certain mark on the gas guage, it was not full when I picked it up, like you would expect it to be, so trying to replace the exact amount of gas is a bit of a challenge, and a little of an advantage to U-Hall, because I managed to replace what was there, and a bit more..maybe fill up the units before renting them out..
