The location is excellent, the vehicle however was a death trap. The truck kept reving the engine on its own when braking, pushing through the brakes and almost causing me to strike cars in front of me multiple times. If not for using the emergency brake to stop the truck I could have been in an accident. That truck needs service asap. Dangerous to the driver and others on the road. I have informed the team at the location and they promised to have the truck serviced. You should follow up and make sure it is dealt with.Daniel C.

The location is painfully understaffed. I'd reserved the truck and the poor clerk had to man the cash register for the convenience store and the gas station. It took 4X as long as it should have. He had to walk away multiple times, leaving my ID on the counter and when I took it off the counter after the 1st time, he took it to the til. I've had identity theft and I find this unacceptable. To add to the problems with understaffing, he wanted me to sign off on no damage without checking the truck first. He tried convincing me to go ahead and sign off but I said I won't do that without physically doing a walk around. I did the walk around and took pics. I needed it for 7.6 km each way journey. He was a lovely person and I don't blame him for just trying to get the vehicle checked in and out as quick as possible in between customers (store and/or fuel). Frustrating.cornerstone C.

I have used uhaul a number of times over the last few years. I waited for 45 minutes to find out the trailer was damaged when it was brought back surely someone could have called me. The customer service kid was excellent and apologized and went out of his way to find a dealer that had one. Go to the chestermere location. Owners son wanted nothing to do with helping me. He had a condescending tone (not sure why as his gas station was literally a shit home and messy) he had a lazy attitude and did not offer to hook up the trailer (different from other locations). Not that I needed the help but it reaffirmed his lazy attitude. Upon bringing the unit back I was late and could be the worst customer service person I have seen. Will NEVER rent from uhaul again.Stephen T.

What a joke, tells me to bring the truck back with 1/4 tank of gas and he'll give me a $35 discount. Spend $30 on gas at their gas station and he offers me a $10 discount only. Yeah it's a hair less than 1/4. But it also had less gas in it than you said it did when I picked it up. I am very disappointed pointed with u haul. Try filling your trucks and maintaining them. Broken wiper blades, unstable drive, truck needs a wheel balance.Brad S.

Box was dirty had to clean it before we could use it . Truck was on empty for gas had to put our own gas in . Wiper on drivers side was ripped off so no wiper on drivers window was dirty and could not clean it .Nelson T.

I had to hook up the dolly my self and check lights my self one side did not work for signal so had to go back inside to tell the guy he then gave me another conection to hook new wires up he did help me with this and it all worked fine after but it did the job and I was happy at the end thanks uhaulPaul C.

We were over charged for mileage that hadn't been recorded properly. If we hadn't had a picture we wouldn't have been refunded almost $120. We were basically charged double. Then when we brought it back to them to prove the mileage used they still wouldn't refund and said they had to call the manager. When we arrived back home, they called us in for a refund.Matthew P.

Had extra boxes that were purchased in anticipation that extras would be able to be refunded. Vendor refused to refund for these extras. 100% guarantee absolutely worthless for the boxes. Rather disappointing because rest of move was excellent.Mark S.

It's obvious that uhaul and this location do not care about the service they provide. It took 45 minutes to even get the van since the gas station attendant would leave me every time a customer came in, even during the transaction. I had ordered my cube van much in advance and even called three times the week before to confirm, yet was told on the day I had all my friends and family ready to move that no van was available, at all! After reviews I was hesitant but we were pleasantly surprised. Gas was a bit lower than they said but they were cool to change it. This gas station can get very busy so we were waiting a bit, but other than that, everything went well! Staff was very nice and friendly and answered our questions quickly.Micah N.

I drove the truck 16 miles. Guy at uhaul said I needed to put gas, as I used 1/4 tank. Not quite possible unless there is a hole in the gas tank. Also recorded the miles wrong when I returned and said I owed for extra miles. Tooj some time to sort out the right numbers.Ryan M.

gas had been stolen from trucks. the rental agent could not be bothered to check fuel guage, just take a picture. when I returned the truck he did not believe my fuel story. I had rented same size truck on monday with great service, this time totally different. gas charge was increased without telling me in advance,your trucks are going to get snow in tanks as the caps were not put on remaining trucks. Staff did not know how to connect the trailer. Contract equipment crashed for each customer, took over an hour to get checked in. Please invest in some proper booking systems. Every place I've rented from has had problems.Chris L.
The truck I put on hold didn't work. They gave me the only other truck they had for the same price because the size I wanted was not able to run. The truck they let me use needed a boost in order to start. I ordered 20 covers for my furniture and they had none. Rented a 15' truck to move. Picked it up later in the day when it was dark. Drove it a few miles to our home and parked it for moving the next day. In the morning, we noticed that one of the front tires was very low, so we drove it back to exchange it. They charged us milage. It wasn't a lot of $, but I don't think we should have been charged extra due to a quality issue.Allen S.
The trailer we rented originally in Strathmore and were contacted that it was only available in Chestermere, that was not an issue for us so we went there to pick it up. When we arrived the trailer was not on the lot and we were told to wait 30-45 mins and the guy would return it. We waited and a guy pulled up to Gas Plus with the trailer and it was loaded with belongings for the store - the employees then spent 10 minutes cleaning out the items so we could then use it.Mallory L.

The experience was awful! They didn't have anything ready that I had requested. I ordered 2 dozen blankets and they only had 1 dozen but still charged me for 2 dozen. When I went to drop off the Uhaul we gave them the keys and then they told us that we had to go back and take a picture to confirm the milage and gas. I have never had this in all my years of using Uhaul, it is always the staff members that verify everything. The key got locked in the car, and instead of trying to help us figure out how to get the key out of the car, they gave us the wrong information and then yelled at us and told us to leave. Will never use again, they should be ashamed of their customer service. They shouldn't be able to run a Uhaul from their gas station, as they can't handle it.Stephen P.
