The man renting us the Uhaul was operating out of a gas station. He was behind bulletproof glass and spoke to us through a tiny hole. It was very hard to hear him. Every time someone came in to buy gas/drink/cigarettes he stopped with us and took care of them. A man came in with a list of lottery numbers to play, so we had to wait for that. He kept passing his dirty cell phone under the payment slot for us to type information into for the rental. I was initially quoted a rate of $29.99 then $.99 per mile. He told us it would cost $540.00 to go 150 miles and was unable to tell us why. We felt like we were being scammed, but needed the truck and we're told that was the only one in the area. Very stressful experience on an already stressful moving day. Find somewhere else to go.Jennifer L.

The truck was missing the dolly I ordered and I told the location that it was missing and they told me that I would not be charged for it and I was. The check engine light was on and I received a text message from uhaul stating that I have remaining charges for this rental and it is now June and my rental was in April. We were scheduled for 7:30AM pickup but the U-Haul representative was not on-site until 9AM. Luckily, I spoke with the gas station attendant and he allowed me to get the keys to the truck and get on our way. Just make sure when you allow for an earlier time that the U-Haul rep on-site is available. I think other customers would probably have gotten mad.Grayson R.

The truck was not swept clean & blankets folded. The hand truck was not secured. The drivers cab had food wrapping n cracker crumbs every where. I also did not agree with cost. I had the truck for 24 hrs by contract but brought it back in 6-7 hrs. I drove a total of 28 miles. I put $10 worth of gas at 2.80 a gallon. If truck gets 9 miles to gallon I filled up what I used. I received a $25 fuel charge and bill was $123.00 that was supposed to be $90. Not happy. Don't know if I will use again.Anthony S.

None of the employees wore masks, ever. They were completely confused about my reservation and had me personally re enter it into their laptop. Eventually the online reservation chat caught up to my online order and said that there key was ready. At that point, the employee that I was dealing with went and called uhaul which walked him through my reservation. The process took about 30 minutes. 30 minutes of my waiting to walk out with a key to the uhaul. At the end, the employee had me text him my "ready to accept key" notification and email him a screenshot of my uhaul terms and conditions email. Definitely my worst experiences picking up a uhaul.Gregory J.
Trailer was dirty in the front as if debris had been swept neatly all the way forward, to include plastic trash and dirt. Preordered moving pads were not available at the location, but received no word until picking up equipment and had to drive to another UHaul location to pick them up myself. Would have been helpful to receive notification that they were not available here. Staff did not have the plug to connect trailer lights to tow vehicle and had to retrieve one from another UHaul location while I waited. Recommend ensuring equipment is ready to rent. Approximately 1 hour wait to pick up equipment having already done online check in and prepaid, not to include driving to another UHaul go pick up furniture pads.Nicholas D.

I was overcharged and I am waiting for a credit...I did NOT use the mileage I was charged for and would like reimbursement...also...when I originally booked my uHaul my location was changed last minute by uHaul to a Horrible location...nasty owners...shady business...so had to delay my trip by over an hour and drive out of my way to get a different truck at this location. The owner at this location however was very pleasant...I am waiting for my $50 refund in addition to my overcharged reimbursement. I was told it was over estimated and would be corrected accordingly...well show me the money. And I filled the gas tank to half tank however the truck had only a quarter when we picked it up. person wasn't even going to put the trailer on for me (I'm a woman) I couldn't pick it up then he didn't screw the ball thing down or put the chains on correctly. I was driving and it was jerking my car so badly that I went to another uhaul to only find out that how i was driving was extremely dangerous and I was luck i didn't have an accident!sonya W.

terrible, terrible service from UHaul at this location and at the Y.ork Road Baltimore location. Received email confirmation that pickup at York Rd. Walked there. No truck. Was told I had to go about 8 miles to another location (Exxon, Bel Air Rd) Had to take a cab. Got to that location. there was another customer who got the same runaround, but only ONE truck. I had to wait 2 hours for truck to show up. Spoke to Tracy and Dave on phone in Balt support offices...they were very helpful, but experience overall was VERY bad. Do NOT recommend this location. They were clueless, as was the York Rd location.NIcholas J.
Have workers that are trained on how to check customers in and know the uhual procedures. If a customer makes a reservation over the phone through uhual, then it should not take 40 mins to check a customer in with no other customers in the location. To see the worker had no idea how to do so and had to call someone else to come in and finish the process is very disappointing and waste a massive amount of time.erica J.

This was a gas station, whereas the cashier was in a bullet proof window room. Someone else took my driver's license and credit card in another locked office without me. The paperwork I recieved was put through a bad printer, and I'm not sure I recieved the normal paperwork I have in the past. When I dropped off the truck with key - no paperwork was given to me. They said they would send and email. I will NOT use a U-haul from this location or any in such a neighborhood ever again. I did not feel safe being there, leaving my car and having my personal information out of my site.Margaret R.

This is was a drop-off site in another town so it wouldn't be applicable that we would recommend to another friend. It is a gas station, making filling up with gas before returning the truck convenient. It is a very busy gas station.KRISTI B.

our first pick up location was supposed to be on saratoga street in downtown baltimore. this location was in a unfavorable part of town and we did not feel safe while looking for the pickup location. the location did not answer thei phoner number will be called trying to find them and we could never find the actual address though we went by the street address several times. this pick up location represented a significant inconvenience for us and should be removed from u-haul list. The u haul operator then directed us to the overly location which was clean, easy to find, and very helpfulPAUL B.

Have the owner of this location be there on time to give, the customers their Uhals. He showed up one hour late. The truck leaked and all my boxes got wet. NOT HAPPY.Cheryl M.
This experience was terrible. We requested a uhaul in Baltimore city for 7am. We were given a uhaul in the suburbs (30 min from my house) at 9am. You can imagine how this threw off our plans. Already upset, we arrived at the location to find no one present to give us the keys to our uhaul. I called customer service and got disconnected after waiting for 30minutes. The women made no effort to re contact me and I had to wait another 20 minutes to get her back on the phone. The man finally arrived at the store but we still did not get on the road until 10:20 (3 and half hours after we planned). No one treated us with respect or empethay. We were give stock answers to our frustrations. Overall we are extremely dissatisfied. In the future, please treat your customers with respect and be more accomodating to their pick up location requests. Personally, we will never use uhaul again.Jaclyn C.

For the last two times I rented a trailer U-Haul never has pads. This is really frustrating.WILLIAM S.
I reserved a dolly and an appliance dolly - the facility didn't have either one (nor did they call me in advance to alert me to this - I found out at pick up so was stuck as far as making alternate arrangements - as not having a dolly really slowed my progress down and made things extremely more difficult). The rental guy was late (someone had to call him in), then when he got there, we still had to wait 5-10 minutes for him to get everything together. Moving is stressful enough, but not having the right equipment, not communicating that they didn't have the equipment, and not respecting the customer's time or needs were three things that really irritated me and I would not return to this location again for future rentals.Korina S.
It's at a gas station. No place to park. Also, that side of Belair rd. is so narrow make sure your fold your mirrors in for the telephone poles. I learned the hard way. I don't know how to improve it.JOSH F.

The truck size that I rented was not available, so i had to rent a bigger truck that barely fit down my tiny one way city street and guzzled gas. The salesman had no idea what truck I was supposed to take. The whole process took a long time. There were a lot of unmarked scratches on the outside of the truck that I asked him to mark and he did. He was very nice, but he sent me to the wrong truck with the wrong key. Also, trucks should be filled up when possible when you pick them up, so it is easier for the customer to fill it to the level they received it.Meghan R.
They may want to have two people at this location when it is going to be a busy rental day. Since this location is at a gas station it is kind of a break in service when they are trying to help the rental customer and the gas customer at the same time, overall I would use this location againMelinda H.
