Did not have enough of the moving blankets as ordered. I was only given ten (10), I ordered 24 and had to pay for 12. They did not have the furniture dolly requested. The people there are super friendly and helpful hooking up the trailer and making sure everything worked.DOUGLAS R.

The rental is often confusing as per which trucks can be used only 10 hours or 24 hours. And the fees need more explaining once billed. But I am sure my mover had them explained. I paid ( as the one moving) for the trucks. So I was not present at pick up and drop off. Overall very nice personnel and helpful sales reps.judy S.

Fix you mobile app. It will not take pictures on first try or do anything when you submit a picture. Then you restart it and try again for the same thing to happen for hoursJeffrey E.
Truck was filthy on the inside. Mud everywhere. Steering shook like crazy every time brake was pressed. Washer fluid empty. Expected better for paying $2600 for a one way 10ft truckâ€¦Raffi D.
I went 7 miles with the truck and put gas back where it was and was still charged a fuel charge .stating I was 3/4 tank at pick up and 1/2 tank when dropped off which is not even possible for 7 miles. I called and a case was open for a refund and told I would get a phone call from a manager but never did get a call . Highly unprofessional in my opinion !VELETA S.

They should have refunded more than 50 dollars. Very unprofessional and this uhaul should be ashamed renting a truck that needed so many repairs and had so many problems. We will never rent from this jerk again. And we will tell our families to NOT rent from him.Kelly H.

Deep Mud & Water To Get The The Trailer and Was A Very Tight Narrow Path With No Room To Get The Trailer Out SafelyKenneth B.
The truck had been smoked in by a previous customer, a lot. There was a film of dirt on everything on the cab. I spent a long time cleaning surfaces with Windex and Clorox wipes, but the smell was still really unpleasant. The floor of the cargo hold was also quite dirty and should have been washed (like, scrubbed and mopped) before we picked up the truck.Aaron L.
I went to pick up my reservation / 15 ft truck and the mechanic / service manager said he didn't have one and sent me to another location 12 minutes away . He informed me that they had a parking lot full of trucks . I went to that location and they told me everything was already taken! I then had to return back to GLF and tell him that is the 15 ft truck in his lot ! When I originally booked my reservation I did not choose the safe ride insurance and this manager had me sign off on the contract via monitor and I did not notice the insurance $28 added. I signed and left the lot. The truck was dirty inside with mud as well. I called shortly after and noticed it was on my bill and as him to remove the insurance. He said I would have to call the 800 number and they would be able to help me. When I called they said. No. . I'm very disappointed with uhaul and won't be using them in the future.James W.
Staff was friendly during pickup. Everything else was terrible. Mechanically, the vehicle was ok though it did have a non-functioning cargo light that made it difficult to see in the cargo area. Customer service was a nightmare. The truck was supposed to be picked up in Waverly ny. I never received a call to discuss the location change. When I called to try to discuss the change, I was told I would be getting a call back. I never received a call back. When I was ready to return, I noticed it said I had to return to the other location. Even after speaking with a supervisor, nothing was done (even after being on hold for 80 minutes). This change added 36 miles to the overall mileage. We rented the truck to move my 66 year old mother who is dealing with multiple health issues, including recovering from covid. She is on a fixed income and cannot afford to be charged extra unfairly. I will not be utilizing this service again. I would rather use my own truck and make 3x the amount of trips before I subject my family to such a terrible company.Cassandra L.

I would advise that U-Haul cleans the previous user's dog poop out of the trailer for customers next time. Also, I put in my reservation that I wanted to drop it off at a different location than where I picked it up. I also said that to the employee who gave me the paperwork and took my payment...But evidently I had accidentally selected "in-town rental" in my reversation, which means I had to drive it all the way back to my pick-up location. How can U-Haul allow an in-town rental, but will also allow me to select a different drop-off location when they actually DONT allow a different drop-off location? Really disappointed nobody caught that and even more disappointed U-Haul could do absolutely no changes to help me out with that mistake. Especially when I emphasized twice that I wanted to drop it off elsewhere prior to renting it. But I will say, the manager of the Elmira U-Haul, Jerry, was at least very personable and made the in-person experience enjoyable.Jeremiah H.

I was happy with the facility I was not happy about the change to my pickup location by the syracuse office over seeing the contract Due to the change and no additional mileage to my contract it put me in a position of not having enough miles The location change to pick up was 3to4 miles from the original location. TWICE In order to not be charged more money because of this change I was forced to park the uhaul at my residence, 7 miles from the unload destination in order to stay under mileage I unloaded with my vehicle and drove down to the unload location. This was very inconvenient for me due to the change by someone else. They offered nothing in return for this inconvenienceThomas K.

The back of truck was dirty, floor mats on drivers side was muddy,plus the passenger side seatbelt was broken? And not just broken but not even there!! Was told at least the truck smells better today? Thought the uhaul had better standards? We have always used uhaul and never had a bad experience. But this time was horrible. We even returned it with extra gas and no credit? But we get charged extra if it's under and by extra we meant above normal gas pricesEric S.

The process of actually going to pick up the U-Haul was a hassle. It took forever and then I was told that unless I'm paying with a card, I will need to give a $100 deposit which I was not told on the phone when I called the reserve the truck. I like the service, but they should be more efficient and clear when explaining the requirements and the process of picking up the truck could be much quicker.Saige T.

I rented a furniture dolly that I was charged $10.00 for when on the dolly was a ticket saying $7.00 and I couldn't even use it because it was too small. I was then charged for 31 miles and I did not drive 31 miles. I was accused of using furniture pads and did not use furniture pads at all. The only equipment used was the dolly. Very disappointed for all the extra charges.Tasha M.

Although the pick up location was great, Uhaul had not actually assigned a vehicle and had not notified the pick up location that I was doing a self service after hours pick up. If location worker had not seen me pull in on his way out there would have been nooo truck waiting for me which would have been a disaster in many levels. Pick up person said he received no notification from u haul for self pick up. Pick up drop off locations great. Online, National Uhaul operations big time suck. I so want people to be careful because of this persistent lack of communication between local and corporate. Too bad. Local people try so hard for you to have support be so incompetently bad.Walter R.
