The UHAUL was literally squeezed between 2 other UHAULs. So much so that I couldnt take the initial photos because I was crammed between the truck I was renting and the other trucks there. The power steering on the truck when in reverse or trying to make pointed turns in the yard was TERRIBLE. You could smell the belt burning and even people standing by were talking about how awful it sounded! As soon as we got to my house, the truck back tire got stuck in my grass, making a huge, muddy hole. The yard is TINY but those tires look old and low air. We got it out and got everything we needed moved but if I had been moving across town or out of state, instead of just a few miles, I would not have been comfortable with that truck. It needs some mechanical TLC.

Here's an updated version: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently spent two days driving two different 26-foot U-Haul trucks from Fort Payne, Alabama to Grand Bay, Alabama, and overall I had a great experience. The trucks handled well, rode comfortably, and performed exactly as expected on a long-distance move. On a previous trip, I also rented one of U-Haul's toy haulers and towed it with my Hyundai Tucson, and it performed exceptionally well. I do have two suggestions that would make these trucks even better: 1. Install backup cameras on the 26-foot trucks. Vehicles of this size would greatly benefit from improved rear visibility and additional safety features. 2. Upgrade the headlights to LED systems. The current headlights leave a lot to be desired for nighttime driving, and the high beams were not very effective. The U-Haul app was easy to use and made the rental process simple. My only issue was at the drop-off location where cell service was very limited, making it difficult to log in and complete the return process through the app. I also want to recognize the team at Grand Bay Auto Parts in Grand Bay, Alabama. Dropping off the truck there was a great experience. The staff was friendly, professional, and made the return process quick and easy. Excellent customer service goes a long way, and these folks were wonderful to work with. Overall, this was a very positive experience. The equipment was reliable, the rental process was smooth, and the customer service at both ends of the trip was excellent. Address those two truck upgrades and U-Haul will continue to lead the moving industry. This version keeps the feedback constructive while highlighting the excellent service you received in Grand Bay. 🚚⭐

radio would not turn off and was at a high volume! ANNOYING! LOCATION ONLY HAD ONE OF THIS SIZE TRUCK SO I COULD NOT SWITCH FOR ANOTHER ONE

The lady that we talked to on the phone, Amber? Was not very friendly. Told her we were on the way, about 20-30 minutes out. She said maybe it will still be here. I actually called a different dealer in our town. If they would have had 1 available would not have used this dealer. Also will other locations before using her next time.

I reserved a 20ft and it would not start. They sent me yo another place 19 minutes away in Irvington and they were closed. Then they sent me back to Grand Bay Auto supply and they only had a 15 ft truck. Told me insurance was $15 . I told told them we will make 2 trips and not use the trailer. Then out $20 in gas Had it for 6 hours because of 2 trips. Left a power drill and they said no nothing was left . Them charge me $271…. NO WAY !! I will need a call back from your supervisor … Scott. He said discount them well…. All I see is highway robbery. I will need callback asap.
