The guy gave me a truck that was to small and had no ramp knowing I was going to pickup a refrigerator so I had to bring the truck back and get a larger truck with a ramp and was charged twice. This is the worst experience with uhaul ever and very expensive.john H.
The online pickup didn't work as it should so I had to go inside and go through everything again which made me late to meet everyone. Then the furniture pads I had rented weren't in the truck so I had to go back in and get those... More time wasted. Oh and to top it off, the ramp was jammed when I tried to pull it out. I had to use a crow bar to unwedge it everytime I used it.MATTHEW H.

In the front of the building there is a sign with pricing and sizes of the trucks to rent. When I rented my "medium" size truck that should have been $29.95 the clerk charged me $39.95 I refuse to do business or let my family do business with thieves. When confronted with the total on the sign the clerk still up charged me and the guy before me who rented $39.95 when the sign states $29.95. Thief! I will not leave a good review. I will tell my family and neighbors not to purchase from this establishment.Billie U.

The customer service representative was outstanding. The issues I had were not at all his fault. Being told I was going to be charged $31 because I was dropping off at his location which hadn't been explained before by anybody from U-Haul was frustrating to say the least. When I called in to get a location to go U-Haul I was told a location in Bethalto that had no one manning it. To read over the contract and see that I would've been responsible for any damages to the vehicle after drop off and knowing it would be over 24 hours before anybody would be there left me uneasy leaving it there when I called it a second time The customer service rep either allow the call to drop or just hung up. So we were left to find the next closest location which was granite city. We took it there and attempted to drop off. Only a corner gas station. First question I got from the customer service rep was did they tell you to drop it off here? He did work through the process with me and gave it to less than the $31 and only 11 to drop it off at his location. But why should I have had to of paid more to drop it off at a different location when a that was never explained at the beginning and b The representative that I originally talk to that told me to drop it off in Bethalto at an unknown open location, in my opinion should've told me the location was not open then it would've been my choice to say I need a different location or he could've explained using the app.Ronald S.

For starters, the blankets and dolly didn't have fasteners so I had to drive back to inform the Lady so as to not get charged. Waste of my gas. Second, the muffler was not working. The truck was so loud that I probably have hearing damage. I didn't have e-mail at the time. Attendant was unable to print the contract or a receipt when I returned the truck. The attendant lady was very nice. Overall my worst u-haul experience in my life.Roland L.

The people were not friendly at all. I had difficult disconnecting the trailer and the gentleman was aggravated that he had to help me. The trailer was stuck on the hitch and it took two people to pull unhitched it.Thomas H.

The app was not working and the first person I spoke to on the phone had me hold on and never came back. I then was told I could just have the person at the rental location sign me in. So I would not do the app again. Good old fashion personable way is better!Shellie S.

The trailers are parked in grass so they were sunk in the ground. When asked for help they wouldnt put their phones down to help. My wife had to get out of the vehicle to help and she is sick and hurt her hand doing so because the way they had the trailers parked in the grass they were sunk down had no blocks wood or anything for the jack to be on to keep from sinking. When we finally got it and brought it back we dropped it off on the concrete in front of where we picked it up and was easy to unhook because it was where trailers are suppose to be dropped off and picked up at. When I went to go pick up my reservation the clerk cussed me out refuse to rent a U-Haul to me I had to go to another location down the street where the guy I guess owns both gas stations to find someone to help me get my reservation going the lady called the guy to tell him to come meet me he never showed up so I end up calling 1-800 U-Haul and trying to complete the reservation I called once to make a complaint about the lady throwing a fit and I was instructed to go down to the gas station then I called you all again and the lady finally took my reservation over the phone and was able to run it to me and the lady was able to give me the keys so I can get the truck which put me an hour behind and my moving I was pick up the truck rental at 11 this process took over till like almost noon so with that being behind it also caught me to be late for work now I just got done moving so and I return the vehicle back I'm not very happy with my rental with Uhaul I don't think that I will use this location again it's very unprofessional especially when you got someone cussing you out telling me that telling me that they didn't have to do nothing for me and it wasn't in those type of words she was very hateful very mean the person that runs the place it even bother showing up or even cared so everything was just done wrong I give this as flat zeroKENDRA H.

Worst Uhaul pick up experience ever. Basically this is a convenience store with one guy working the cash register. He told me the number of my trailer and went on checking people out. When I asked if I had to hitch the big trailer by myself he said yes, and then ignored me. It's very difficult to hitch a trailer with one person when it's in a grass field on a slope, and I had no one to help me check the trailer lights. Definitely would not recommend this site, could have been really dangerous.Jeremy J.
The pick up location was alright. Waiting 2 hours and 1 hour spent on the phone talking to multiple people was ridicules. I was being punished for renting this truck. I will not recommend uhaul to anyone for moving and I will try an alternative company from now on. I think a refund or discount is needed for my time.JIMMY D.
The rental process was very difficult. We had to go to several different locations before finally finding someone to rent us a truck (after being promised one at another location). The attendant was unable to process the confirmation information on the computer, so he had to use his cell phone. Overall this was a very stressful difficult procedure.Amy J.
The first employee claimed she couldn't access the uhaul system to do anything. But she was just waiting for her replacement because as soon as he arrived the computer worked just fine. I had a return that was processed over the phone, just needed someone to help get the trailor off my truck and she wouldn't even help with that. That location needs to find a better way to staff. Went online to reserve tow dolly at this location hours before my pickup. I was traveling 2 hours to pick up a car in Granite City. I got at my pick up time and the gas station was closed , even though the sign said open the sign hours stated it opened at 7am, my pick up time was 9:30 am. I had to contact u haul to be advised on what to do it was pass my pick up time and I drove 2hrs to rent this dolly and get car. After calling u haul I was told the next available dolly was quite aways away and I already lost valuable time because location was closed. Customer service did a contract over the phone so I could pick up the dolly at the shell location. Location was still closed 45 mins after talking to customer service. I also think rentals shouldn't be scheduled for 2 days out when you only need if for a few hours or just a day.Tamara M.

U Haul does not start work until 9 a.m. I needed my truck at 8 a.m. The truck I ordered was not available. Other locations were not open, so I had to take a larger truck to meet my obligations at the time I needed the truck. Businesses usually, almost always open and start before 9 a.m so whats up with the 9 a.m. start??????????David M.

make sure that there isnt the smell of smoke in the cab, you cant exacty take a picture of that so it should be asked if it smells cleantracy W.
