I will NEVER rent from that place again!!!!! I ended up paying almost $80 for a 15 inch truck that was $29.95 with the $15 insurance, even though I took pictures of the mileage AND he falsified the gas on that filthy truck!! I was charged over $30 for falsified gas use that I didn’t use! He was rude and very snarky! The dog he had in there was more kind than he was! And It smelled of heavy cigarette smoke! The truck I had was just downright FILTHY!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!! I should’ve went where I always go, I was trying to stay close to home since it was only 4min from my home!

Well first off I wasn’t even suppose to pick up here and got sent here making me late for meeting movers I hired to load stuff up. Second it smelled like an ashtray inside despite there being a no smoking sign.

Tried calling this location the day before my rental three times and got a voicemail connected with a different phone number. I left a message but never got a call back. The location is worn down and smells so much like smoke that it almost takes your breath away. The gentleman that works there is quite rude. We had intended on leaving our car there so when we brought the truck back that afternoon we had a vehicle there, this actually was one of my questions I intended to ask on my unanswered call. He asked us if we were leaving a car and when I responded yes all I got was a no head shake from him and when he decided to speak finally he just said “nope, not here l, no room” seriously!?! I told him if he answered the phone I might have known this prior to. When we noticed the door said open until 5:30 I said the app said they were open until 4:30, I was given silence on that question from him. We asked if someone would be there when we returned it and he shrugged and said “I don’t know, depends on if the boss makes me stay”. Lastly my husband returned it at 4:00 same day of rental. The same man was there. My husband gave him the keys and asked if that was it and he said yes. The next morning I got a message saying my truck was due back in less than 30 minutes. So I called the store, no answer of course. I had to call the 1-800 number to get my resolution and receipt that it was returned. This location is so handy to my home, and we were moving our daughter to her college apartment but I will either drive elsewhere to rent a U-Haul or rent from another company in the future. I will tell anyone I encounter not to use this location. Oh, I almost forgot, the truck was so dirty inside and the radio was broken. I guess the bright side was the truck got her things to her place, thankfully

When I picked up the truck the low air sensor was active. Even said front left tire low. I checked it when I got home and it had 35psi in it. I filled it up to the 80psi spec. Drove back to the U-Haul to tell them about it, and one of the brake lights was out. The guy tried to tell me it was a bad sensor but after I filled the tire the sensor went off. There was a nail in the tire and I showed it to him on the U-Haul lot. Instead of switching trucks for me he pointed at the road side assistance sticker and told me to go home and call them from there. The transmission isn’t right either. Down shifts very hard when braking. The guy at the lot didn’t seem to care about his customers, and the office was nasty and smelled like stale cigarette smoke. I recommend going to a real U-Haul to anyone needing to rent a vehicle

I have used UHaul several times in the past...BUT this will be the last time. There were a number of reasons why. First off, I wanted a truck to rent and drive 40 miles 1 way. They told me i needed to return the truck to the same location. $252 to drive 40 miles or $152 to pick up and drop off at same location. So reluctantly i made the round trip. Then after I set it up, i got a call that the location didnt even have a truck my size available. So now, i have more mileage to drive the truck. Yep! you guessed it, those extra miles were charged to me as well! Because we all know it was my fault there wasnt a truck available. Then when i went to return the truck, the front door said they were open until 5:30pm. This was 4:45pm and no one was around. So i couldnt check the truck in. This was another $20 charge. I couldnt use the app to check the truck in because i didnt use the app to make the rental, im guessing. I did down load the app, but nowhere on the app was a place to return the truck. last but not least, i stopped about 2 miles from the drop off location and got gas, and yes, i'll admit i might have estimated the amount I needed by about 1/10th. So I also got a fuel charge for $32. They said it needed 7 gallons. it probably did need 7 gallons to fill it to full, it might have needed 1 or 2 more gallons to make it to the exact spot when i picked it up. So yeah...NEVER again for Uhaul. I will go out of my way and pay more if necessary to use Penske or Enterprise. I will add to this that it looks like they have refunded me the $20 charge for turning the truck in...but im still paying the extra miles and $32 for gas. All for a truck that says $29 on the side of it!

My original reservation was for pick up at 1117 N. Jackson in Bloomington, IN. When we arrived at the location in Bloomington the personnel there was VERY unhelpful and did not explain that our reservation had been moved to Greenwood. Instead he just told us that there was no truck for us and sent us out the door. It was not until I happened to call a Uhaul location in Indianapolis (panic searching for an available truck) that I learned about how or why our reservation was moved. PLEASE do better at explaining this process to your customers via email / texts and in person. We wasted hours of our day trying to find a moving truck. Once we arrived in Greenwood, the personnel there was helpful and secured a truck for us.

In March, I reserved a 15’ foot truck for a one way from Bloomington IN to Austin TX. The day before my pick up date of May 31 - I was notified by text that there were no trucks available in Bloomington and that I was being assigned a 20’ truck that I had to pick up in greenwood IN. Not sure what the purpose of a reservation is if UHaul does not honor them.

I had a thoroughly disappointing experience at this U-Haul location, both during pickup and drop-off. The attendant lacked basic customer service skills and made the interaction unpleasant. Furthermore, he smoked inside the office, creating a thick, overwhelming cloud of cigarette smoke that posed health concerns for me. Additionally, an unleashed dog roamed the office, freely interacting with customers, which I found unprofessional and unsanitary. Due to these issues, I will not be returning to this location again.

Equipment was clean enough but not detailed, depends on whose standards. Had crumbs in the tray under radio and had a scraps in the back when I picked it up. I cleaned that out before returning the truck. Tires looked worn. I reserved a hand truck and did not get one at pick up, thought it was in the back but found none once I was ready to load the next day. It somehow dropped off the reservation list or was just omitted at pick up, not sure. Truck did not come with a lock, I had to buy one.

1) I paid for a dolly, did not get one. 2) the truck was not clean prior to our use, there was a lot of dirt and wood (2 by 4) chunks all over the back of the truck. 3) the ramp to the truck was broken prior to our use and my husband had to crawl completely under the truck to put it back in place for travel. 4) the gentleman in the office was quite rude. We were the first customers of the day (8:30am) and came in cheerful to be greeted by a grouch with an attitude.

Rude owner. I’ve rented multiple times from this place. Always rude for no reason. I walk in having a GREAT day and somehow I leave having a bad day. There’s always something inside the trailer I’m renting not even pertaining to the trailer. This time it was lawnmower blades. Last time it was 30+ moving blankets. I’ll go across town to rent than rent from this place!!!
