Phenomenal experience with picking up the U haul from this location. The U haul was ready at the day and time I signed up to get it at and the U haul was in excellent shape. Only issue was with the truck, it was very difficult to get the truck key to the ignition, would be nice for a comments section when a vehicle is checked in where we can mention not urgent repairs needed. During the self check in when I couldn't get it to start there was no contact number listed for if I have issues, would be nice for a button that would call or message a rep should a truck not be operable.Travis M.

They made the return a big problem, we returned the u-haul on time and right away to avoid charges yet it looks like they did not report that it was not returned. I had uhaul calling me if we returnef it already and I said yes on time. Now I'm seeng my receipt that I'm beong charged for extra day. Which is unacceptable!!!!Brylle M.

Customer service was great, staff were wonderful to deal with. One recommendation would be to have full tank of fuel before leaving ; as it is hard to judge while fuelling up. So should make it mandatory â€œ leave on full tank of fuel , and customer return full tank of fuel.TerraJade G.

The truck was so dirty! Even old discarded masks inside the cabin. I was so mad to receive this truck in this appalling manner. It was brought to the attention of the person in charge that day, she dismissed it and said they come back after hours and not their problem. We had to clean it ourselves. I would not have taken it if I didn't have to move my stuff, so I ended up cleaning it. The tank was not full. Disgusting truck, poor customer service. Never again. I will never rent a truck for them ever.Patricia N.

I got charged for fuel, when I inspected the truck the truck had half a tank. The contract noted it as being slightly over half. Pointed it out to the clerk I was told to fill it to half and it should not be an issue. Got the extra charge for fuel anyways. I would recommend the next customer insist on making that change at this location and not put much faith that it will be noted; actually get the agreement with the actual change amended. Overall that is my only gripe, the staff was respectful and efficient for the process of the rental.John Z.

My experience was beyond terrible and this has nothing to do with Habeesh, they were amazing given the circumstances. Uhual corporate store on 154th street were very rude during a previous rental, I made a complaint and they turned around and added a caution based on fabricated lies, they stated I returned the truck filthy and had rock chips on the window. I drove the truck for 30KM to move 1 item and it was in my possession for 2H yet I managed to damage it and soil it. When I returned the truck the guy that checked it in did a walk around and checked the fuel and mileage and all was well. Then apparently they told me about this damage and I disputed it, they uploaded pictures with this caution as part of their retaliation effort. None of this occured, and strange enough I was never charged for the damage. I tried to inquire with your agent details of all this strange accusations, she was very rude, I asked for a supervisor who was pleasant and a great help. She stated she couldn't find the damage claim etc. They fabricated all this to prejudice me in the future. I find this targeted assault very concerning and highly frustrating. I asked to see if the VIN and damage match, as I am sure they have a lot of pictures of damaged vehicles. I hope you can get to the bottom of all of this. Very disappointed in Uhual.Tidings M.
Customer service at this location was horrible. We were bounced between 2 people multiple times who didn't seem to know how to help us. We were literally standing and waiting in the store for over half an hour. They did not seem to value our time. I would never, EVER rent from this location again.Michael P.
The price I paid was high the instructions given on dropping off the vehicle were poor. Telling the customer they can drop it off at any location then when it's dropped off telling them to take it to another . Finally telling me I would have to pay a fee for dropping it off at the location I picked it up from. When I protested she dropped the fee she tried to charge me. Paying 154 $ plus 25 $ gas made renting a vehicle to do a simple move more expensive than hiring a moving company to do it for me. Not sure if it's the location because my previous experience had been good today's was awfulIan L.

Ensure that EVERY LOCATION has at least 2 pieces of each type of moving equipment (dollies, appliance dollies, floor dollies, etc) IN STORE. Or every vehicle that gets rented out has a complete dolly set.Michael W.

Your call and service centers were excellent. Setting up the reservation and getting information was made easy and handled professionally. The Uhaul "store" "pick-up" centres were not on the same level. The service on that end was consistently terrible. The only reason I wouldn't use your service again is if I couldn't book a reservation for a dedicated Uhaul outlet (ie not a separate business acting as a franchise)stephen C.
The location was great. It was the online system of booking that was difficult. It took 3 hrs altogether to finally book this rental. Could not get confirmation of rental and no one answered the phones at the first two depots. I was on hold for almost 2 hrs and had to go through 3 agents until I had a decent one. Now I do have an issue. I got there and the staff on site didnt know anything about me. She wasnt yet trained on the uhaul aspect. She made some calls and the guy responsible came in on time. I didn't let that reduce my score cause everyone was courteous and polite and the matter was sorted out immediately. But a whinier customer might have seen that as a huge deal breaker. Maybe something to watch out for. It was also labour day and holidays can shake things up.Scott W.

I was one of four people who waited over an hour to pick up the cargo van I rented online. She was not prepared , she had to call uhaul three times. She was asking for a key number that was not provided to me . Overall it was an awful experience and I would not go back to that location . .Romhel S.
When we picked up the truck the person didn't show us the conditions of the truck, it was dirty and the tank gas was not full. But when we dropped the truck this person did go to check it and said the tank had more gas than we saw (and refilled to the same amount), even showed us a picture of the tank capacity, why didn't the person show it also at the beginning? So please, do not ask us to do something you don't ask to all your costumer. Although this person was very kind and said no prob.Laura M.

Drop off location said they couldn't end the trip and made me call uhaul instead of calling themselves. Uhaul representative was great but tried calling them and they didn't answer, she ended trip for me and I put key in after hours lock box. The employees were inattentive and more concerned with making a phone call after I got to the counter then talking with a random customer who walked in after me. I completed the online check-in and all I needed was keys and I had to wait for them to eventually acknowledge me. There was also garbage and pallets piled in front of the lockboxes in the lot. It was hard to find. I was looking for a U-Haul sign not realizing that it was a African grocery store. The truck was not ready for us when we got there. I had called U-Haul to ask to change the location to the southside and received an email confirming. When we went to the southside to pick up the truck after waiting in line for 40 minutes we were told that we had to pick it up from the original location.micia K.

They had piles of trash everywhere, so much that it was entirely blocking the key drop box on the outside of the building. Inside smelled of dirty diapers, and there were children running around everywhere, the desk they ask you to approach in order to finish your contract has stacks and stacks of inventory such as cans and bottles, there's about 2 square feet to stand. The building has ZERO signage or direction where to drop off your rental. I would be absolutely embarrassed if I had this shop representing my company.Rachel F.
Due to Covid-19 your website should be updated properly, it should not take 45 minutes to do a simple check in. The amount of times my session was timed out due to your site being slow was draining. MOST IMPORTANTLY, Habesha African Market (10418 107 Ave NW Edmonton, AB T5H0W1) is NOT a proper U-haul dealership. The parking lot was not well maintained; most of the items I ordered were not available. After checking in online, I noticed there were no Furniture pads or the dollies I ordered. I had to go back to the Habesha African Market to ask for my missing items. I was taken back the most when I was given U-Haul dollies that the store was using for personal use (hence there being a bunch of crates of fruit that needed to be removed from the dolly so I could use it). How is this having a contact less approach? Does Habesha African Market not realize that we are in a pandemic? In the end I did not receive the Furniture pads or the proper dollies I originally ordered. I would like a refund for the missing Furniture pads and dollies.Kyle B.

The truck disinfected before given to me. I know this because the lady that helped me didn't know if the truck was parked or not. When she realized that the truck had been returned she said oh yes we do have the truck you are looking for it was returned last night. She did not clean it. We are living through a pandemic a pandemic this is unacceptable. You U-Haul are putting your customers at risk. The second big headache was when I discovered that I had only reserved the truck online. I thought that I had rented the truck online and was going to the location to pick it up. You U-Haul even took down my credit card information. Why do you need my credit card information when I reserve a truck? That does not make sense that is not right. I was having troubles renting the truck so I phoned the customer service number. After waiting for 20 minutes a lady answered and she was not helpful. It turns out my Android could not allow love the location sharing. I had to use my fathers iPhone.Daniel M.

The staff have an awful attitude problem, they are not helpful and very rude. I'd rather drive an extra 20KM back and forth to avoid this level of ineptitude. The location is close but here you definitely get what you pay for and the location doesn't scream VIP. So don't get your hopes up.Tidings M.

The van still had garbage in it from the previous renters. The system was down when we went to pick up the van and we had to delay our work for over an hour. Due to this delay we had to drive out of town to take things to the dump as the dumps in Edmonton were closed due to us being late. Since we had to drive out of town, we were charged extra for the km's. This charge should never have happened as it was not our fault we had to drive so far.Carrie K.
