My trailer was not at this location. Without checking the person's ID, they released my trailer to someone else. Very frustrating. I also was not offered any solution to the issue. I happened to see the same size trailer at a different location and was able to solve my own problem. I was given the reservation guarantee when booking but was not given the $50 when the guarantee was not satisfied. I have to rent trailers over the next month as we are moving and am very disappointed with my experiences to this point.ANDREWRONALD J.
Our truck wasn't there! And we had to go with a different size that was far away. We were told we wouldnt be charged for the increased truck size, but when we picked it up we were charged another $50. And the has definitely cost us more. The first 2 numbers customer service gave us to get someone to help us find a new truck just had answering machines. No one to help us. Horrible experience.Kelvin M.

The hanmer location lied to me about price. I had to call costumer service twice. They rented out my truck for the morning that I was suppose to get. Giving me the truck for only half a day, yet still had to pay for the whole day. After I brought the truck back, they were rude, and didn't seem to know the meaning of personal space. I will never recommend the hanmer location. They make uhaul look bad.Rejean T.
We were misinformed by clerk, with regards to the billing process; I think he was actually misinformed or the language barrier caused the miscommunication. Based on the information provided to us, from the clerk and a quick calculation concerning fuel; it fell within budget. Had I been properly explained how they bill (I now know that it's BASED ON MILEAGE AND NOT A SET AMOUNT WITH AN ALLOWANCE OF MILEAGE!!!) I would not have committed to renting the vehicle; I would have taken my chances with my own truck and trailer! I only thought of an enclosed vehicle because of the possible weather.... This rental cost me $691 for the rental and $280 in fuel; the fuel cost was actually what I budgeted for, in all fairness. But for that price, I could have gotten it shipped and delivered TO ME and saved the day of driving. When I arrived back home, from returning the rental, I reached out to U-Haul costumer service, to explain this issue and hopefully work towards an amicable resolution. I ought to have known that this interaction would be just as deflating as my experience with using their rental service. She pretty much, in a nutshell, told me I'm SOL!!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICE, nor will I EVER use it myself again and I WILL let EVERYONE know how horrible my experience was, as well as their nearly FRAUDULENT tactics. We're contacting the credit card service provider to initiate a dispute case against U-Haul. I'm also considering filling a complaint with the BBBC (Better Business Bureau of Canada).STeve H.

The dolly did not work as the vehicle was too wide. The system showed it being ok so I just feel as I didn't use it i shouldn't have had to pay for it. That's all !brian D.
Location had good choice of trucks for the smaller area it serves. Staff when returning equipment was great but, when first picking up in the morning staff was not on the ball and could not fulfill the rental of all the moving pads. Equipment did the job but interior was not 100% cleaned, would really appreciate a quick spray and wipe not just to make it more pleasant but for sanitary purposes as well.Carter L.

We had the rental for 2 days, on the second day I had gotten a call from another location wondering where the uhaul was, I had informed them the driver was dropping it off where we picked it up and they tried to tell me it was due at their location over 30 kms away. I tried to call the driver to get him to drop it off to them but he had already dropped it off. The other location called me again telling me they had a customer at their location waiting for it and they were mad. I said the driver wasn't answering their phone, and my contract didn't have a drop off location listed. Plus we live down the street from where we picked it and dropped it off so we weren't going to drive all that way to bring them their uhaul. The representative at the other store rudely hung up on me. PLUS we had rented the uhaul originally in a whole different town but they had canceled it on us so the driver had to pick it up here and drive it 3.5 hours to where we needed it!!!!! Just a shitty experience with uhaul as a whole. The location we had rented from was wonderful tho.Brandon E.

This Kwik Way depot on Cote in Hanmer is a joke. Wasnt told of hundreds of dollars of extra fees until I was ready to drive away with the truck. I had 3 different in correct return dates issued, I spent 2 hours waiting in a queue for uhaul customer service who turned out to be useless. Truck was filthy with spilt Pepsi and water floating in all the console storage areas, truck was not cleaned after prior usage. Uhaul is a rip off dont use them ot goto this kwik way with employees that can't create a proper contract and dont communicate all costs to you. RIP off.TIMOTHYD L.
The car haulier I rented crank work to put it on my truck then that was it when I brought it back four hours later I couldn't get it off my truck crank was not working how would I know not stores fault but someone should've checked the crank make sure everything was working goodRENE R.
when hitching the trailer to my truck the crank was very hard to maneuver I needed to apply lubricant in order to make it easier to remove. Also the total for renting the trailer was 71 dollars and a few cents but the owner kept the deposit of 75.00 without giving me the change. It is not that it is a big amount but it is not his to keep. There was also a language barrier I had a very hard time understanding what was being said to me. Truck was filthy, had garbage on floor. Someone had spilt coffee or juice on the floor, was a cigarette butt. Obviously no cleaning. Obviously should have been done specially with COVID-19. The lady in the morning was awesome to deal with. The man who was there when we returned the vehicle was lazy as hell. We had to go take pictures of the truck and bring them back to show him, even though there was 2 of them working. I am in poor health with copd so walking back and forth was exhausting. I found it extremely rude that they were not talking English, when they were conversing about the truck.Sherry D.
Truck is in some serious need of TLC. Truck dirty, engine has a whine that sounds like the power steering pump is going to explode. My order had to be updated more than a couple times because the employees where i ordered the truck and trailer from have no idea what they were doing. They even failed to mention that mileage was a part of the bill. Extremely dissatisfied with the service and will think more than twice before calling againryan P.

my rental was changed 3 times with 3 different locations AND 3 different sized trucks, this was a very stressful and awful experience. I hope UHAUL head office fixes there protocols. It is stressful enough to move in general without having to worry about your truck being cancelled and changed 3 times. I will not recommend UHAUL in general due to this poor service. The location I finally got my truck from was ok to deal with. They serve their customers for their store before helping someone in puck up dept. Waited 20 min for paperwork before pick up and 20 min to drop offJoanne L.

Good location, good staff. Fair variety of equipment. Improvement needed on uhaul internet or service end as the process of trying to make the transaction go through failed multiple times and a 2minute process took 20 minutes, not location fault but uhaul itself.Carter L.
Had great difficulty understanding the employee. He was contradicting himself. One minute he needed a credit card and the next he he didn't. I had completed the express checkout online and he tried to charge me twice. Charged me an extra $20 on the rental and have yet to see this reflected on the receipt.Melanie F.

Original contract said gas tank was at half but was actually on E which was witnessed by the person on duty and the 'contract' was manually altered in pen! I returned the truck JUST UNDER HALF and was charged to bring it to half eventhough UHaul owes me nearly half a tank of gas; how could I reasonably be expected to return it empty and run the risk of running out of gas. Cargo area had debris, shingles, insulation, a wine bottle, wood chips, gravel, etc. which I had to clean out. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM UHAUL AGAIN ANY LOCATION.Craig P.

You can have the store clerks better trained on U-Haul applications and advise to have a secondary clerk IN THE STORE at all times. I complained earlier about the constant interruptions and went online to book the trailer.. I did the speed pass so I wouldn't have to wait,,,again. When I went to pick up the cargo trailer, same issue. Same clerk. What should have taken 5 minutes took 45 minutes, delaying my departure. Not impressed, sorry. The only reason I used this location was because it was the closest to where I live.period. Also, the trailer was dirty, dusty and the left turning signal did not work. Lights, brakes and right turn signal all fine.Joy B.
The person had no clue what he was doing when i went to pick up the truck he couls not find addresses for drop off and it took almost an hour to sort out with another unhappy customer behind me waiting and left because of it. Miles on truck were 124037 i did not get miles on truck when dropped off so no clue if overcharged which personally i think i was as cost me $140 in gas and $463 in rental totally expensive!Maureen G.

I have rented from uhaul many times in the past and always had problems either renting or returning the uhaul this time could not have been any easier and friendlier. Went in the night before to reserve it, had two international gentleman looking after it, reservation took over 40 mins, was told all I needed to do in the morning was give my licence, credit card and sign the paperwork. The next morning showed up around 7am, apparently the reservation information wasnt correct, it took another 45mins to get paperwork completed. Then 15 mins to hook it up, and get it inspected. Not impressed with the service! Will not rent here again.Marc G.

No one was there to help hook up the rental trailer after confirming multiple times, and although the location knew i was coming, the trailer was still under snow and ice to which i had to dig it out myself. After asking the manager several times why, the question was ignored.Tracy H.
The worst service I have ever received. I am unable to lift heavy items so I had to ask a total stranger for help. A few hours later when I asked the store owner for help to disconnect he told me he couldn't help me reall! I am handicapped due to a car accident and I received no help from the store where they rent u-hauls. If you can't help then perhaps they should not have them there. All I can say is I am very angry how i was treated. The trailer inside was full of snow. I will never do business with that Kwik-Way again. Piss poor management.nicole R.

As the required rental was required on the Easter Long Weekend, we originally requested the trailer at a location close to the move site. Two days prior to the move, we were called by U-Haul to be informed the location we picked, would not be opened. We then had to go another location, 55 450 Regional Rd, Lively, ON P3Y 1M7. Although the staff were very friendly, the trailer was not usable. First it was stuck in the ice, no one bothered to help. Then once we got it all hooked up, discovered one of the tail lights was busted. Only one tail light worked. They were helpful in that they called U-Haul right away to find another place open, which was now another 40 minute drive away. The staff at Kwik Way were helpful and the trailer was in good order. We had much mucking around just to get a trailer, driving up from Toronto to Sudbury (4 hours) then another 2 hours by the time we actually got a trailer. It all worked out alright and we were glad U-Haul made it right.Jeannie B.
We had poor customer service at this location. Waiting over 20 minutes till I went to talk to her about the uhaul, She makes me go to another counter and calls this guy for me to talk to someone on the telephone. Had our original order booked for 14 days appose to only one day. Also the killometer rate was wrong. Finally, called and spoke to someone on your 1-800 number and was able to fix up my order. I would recommend calling direct before going directly to this store. Other than that everything went well on the moving day.John D.
