The inside of the cargo area was dirty with dirt. It wasn’t real bad but definitely was not swept out from previous use. The gas tank was only an 1/8 full with 59 miles to empty. The contract said a 1/4 full. I mobile picked up and even though my contract had an appliance dolly reserved it was not in the truck so after I filled up I had drive to another location to pick up an appliance dolly since they were closed. When I picked up the truck it was parked at a weird angle between two other trucks I had a heck of time maneuvering because it was so close it would have damaged the other two trucks along with it if I hadn’t taken so much care to just get it out of it’s parking area.

Location was closed - not mentioned when booking return. Truck parking was not by business but rather at the end of the strip mall. No personnel or workers present.
Delaney NEnsure that rental equipment is ready for safe usage prior to customers arrival. Have the extra rental equipment stated on the contract to be available at same location as trailer rental. (Didn’t have a hand truck). So after the trailer was hooked up, that’s when I learned that no hand truck was available and that it had a busted brake fluid cap. I was then directed to go to the O’Fallon Hwy K U-Haul location to pick up the hand truck and have the brake fluid cap replaced. While at the Hwy K location, it was noticed that all 4 tires were in need of replacement due to the one way 1000 mile trip that it was about to take. Hwy K location was kind enough to replaced all 4 tires for my peace of mind. It was the worst experience and the worst trailer I’ve ever rented from U-Haul. The trailer needs to undergo major maintenance and possibly should be retired. One of the strapping rings was missing which made it impossible to secure my belongings for travel. When I reached my destination, I noticed that the back right trailer light was not working. I assume this resulted in no hazard, turning, or brake light during some or most of the journey! Very disappointed and dangerous! For the amount charged for this rental, I would have thought that the equipment should be well worth what was asked to pay. It definitely was not!
Bradley HRented truck from 10-4, I didn’t get into truck until 10:40 am because employee had no idea of how system worked. Returned truck at 3:30 pm with gas (I have my receipt) same day. Paid $70 at store. Drive 44 miles and had truck for 3 hours. I was then charged $116 and then 2 days later another charge of $187! I then left a message for manager whose number I retrieved from St Peter’s UHaul location and have not received a response! This is absurd customer service! I need a refund asap and I will not recommend this location to anyone. The location on Mexico Road in St Peters in Siberia and I should have kept my business with them but your company talked me into changing my day to the Helping Hands location and it was terrible. Over charged and no apology, no refund, nothing!!!!
lisa cThe location to pick up the truck was farther away than ordered from original place. Staff was extremely in competent with their IPad & getting the U-Haul system to work. There was an error on their IPAd screen & could not register my order. Took way too long. Had to call someone else to get the order finalized. Would not recommend that location again. There was also supposed to be an appliance dolly & there was none. So need a refund on that
Mary BMy reservation was at a different location. I received an email to call them in regards to my reservation. I was offered a lower rate if I went to a different location because they were newer and wanted to get some traction or something. I went to the location and had to download an app. I didn't know this so once I did it they had to verify by calling my husband. After all of that I couldn't get the lock open. This made me late for my tech day since I was running a production that weekend. I paid and it charged me $1.29 instead of the $.79 she offered for going to a different location. Then afterwards it charged my card again. Customer service was very nice and helpful with helping me open the lock.
