U haul was unable to accommodate my in town pick up location. Had to travel 18 kms one way to pick up the vehicle and 18 kms to return the vehicle. Extra cost when you are paying .99 kms above the rental fee. The vehicle was unclean and had less than a 1/4 tank of gas. Had to put 40.00 worth of gas before we could even drive it off the rental parking lot. I will not be using U haul again and would not recommend it to friends or family.

More care must be exercised on inputting customer information in your system. Key items like packing blankets were missing and I was dropped from your order list without asvice to me.

Kenneth D.I rented a 6 x 12 cargo trailer. When I picked it up, the trailer was parked in mud and snow. I had a person who ran the place hook it up to my truck. He said it was all good. When I got about 10km down the highway the trailer disconnected from my truck and was all over the road. It was a miracle no one I injured but my truck hitch suffered some damage. Now I will see if they will do anything for me.

jayme L.A disaster from the time we arrived. Teenager working gas station. Did not have any knowledge of U-Haul. Entire transaction was done by way of his cell phone on “speaker†with a lady. Did not ask for our reservation #, no contract was given, did not receive any correspondence by email, charged for two dolly that were not provided, did not supply us with our requested moving blankets, fuel amount was incorrect etc etc. Absolutely unacceptable!! I had to deal with the issues once I arrived at our destination. Just terrible. Also, no U-Haul POS. He ran my visa through their gas station interact.

Would prefer to know ahead of time so I could have made alternative arrangements. Why reserve equipment if it will not be available anyway?

jeff T.The Saturday morning pick-up at this location was good. The man who helped us was friendly and very good. The truck had been started and moved to the front for easy access out of the parking lot. Unfortunately the rear cargo door was frozen shut. The customer service person (I didn't get his name) helped until it opened. He was doing his vey best but other customers waited at the gas pumps for him to get back to his position in the store. This is NOT a very good way to operate. On the return end of this rental, which was only 4-hours later, a different male Custer service person was at the desk. No inspection carried out of the exterior or interior of the vehicle was completed. He seemed very confused about the fuel gauge not indicating the correct amount of fuel even though he witnessed me refuelling right in front of his office. I produced a screenshot from my phone of the fuel gauge reading from when I took possession of the truck, showed him via another screenshot after I had refuelled, all he kept saying was the reading didn't match the paperwork. It was resolved but it took more time than was absolutely necessary. If U-HAUL want to keep using this location, my advice would be to get the customer service trained to a height standard. The location is too busy with other customers wanting to purchase gas or products from within the store. The attendants seem overwhelmed and are not paying close enough attention to the job at hand. Also, set up a dedicated Customer Drop-Off area near the front desk. Maybe a self-serve computer etc. Mike.

LINDA H.I have never been so badly treated as I was with this Company. They have no sense of treating you as a customer. I reserved my trailer 6 weeks in advance. I checked with them 5 days before to confirm reservation. all good. received call Friday evening that trailer would be late on Sunday afternoon. Arrived Sunday afternoon and was told that there was no trailer, that I would have to take it up with Customer service. 4.5 hours on hold and hung-up on 4 times I finally talked to a lady that actually helped me. She found me a trailer in Black Diamond Ab. Was also told That I was entitled to a 50.00$ reservation cancellation fee which I am still waiting for. All in all my experience with the U-Haul on Barlow trail in Calgary was very very painful. I hope to never to have to do business with U-Haul again.

However, the fact that in a major city like Calgary I had to drive 1hr south to simply drop off the trailer with zero other options. I understand the need to stock inventory but it shouldn't be at the customers expense.

They didn't have any replacement cords at the location. As this was the only trailer they had, I had to drive 30 minutes to buy one.

Pick up location for the truck was changed last minute to Black Diamond which was further away and this also meant no furniture blankets being available as had been booked. When I picked up the truck, noticed a pad lock was still on the back which would have made the back of truck inaccessible if it had not been noted. Fortunately, Black Diamond had one other truck of same size on location that they gave me instead or I would have been stuck without a moving truck with a moving company already hired to load it, Staff at Black Diamone were very good. It was the booking process with U-haul that was the problem
