The local Uhaul dealer in Black Diamond Alberta was absolutely awesome. The only improvement i would suggest is not for the local dealer but for Uhaul corporate and suggest that for the larger trucks like the 26’ I rented is that they should be diesel engines and not gasoline. Diesel is much more efficient and better for heavy loads. Gas engines are not efficient and because I’m paying $1.00 per kilometer and the price of gas meant putting $200 gas in the truck on top of the $1.00 per km so moving gets very expensive. A Ford 650 model should be diesel and not gasoline in every situation.

Our trailer rental went very well BUT, our 15 foot truck rental was stressful and costly. We had to drive 2.5 hours to pick up the truck as it wasn't available per our reservation. During a phone call with U-Haul they offered to provide $100 towards the extra cost (almost $200) of getting the truck but we haven't seen it. Then they changed our drop off location which was 1.5 hours round trip from our reservation drop off location, more expense. Fortunately I called U-Haul and the girl said there was a mistake and told me I could drop it off at our original destination.

Arne SThe location and dealer were fine but I'm frustrated that your system was down, and then the help desk had the nerve to suggest that it wasn't UHauls fault that I couldn't collect my van. It may have been your vendor, but that's on you to have good vendors and back up systems.
