Nothing, Penny and crew were awesome!
CHARLES ZWhile Penny explained almost everything prior to taking the vehicle she DID NOT explain the fuel guide on the ignition key. As a result we over filled what we needed to (and ultimately at our own cost) (no reimbursement). When approached about this she became snotty and not the nice person she was portending to be. She's devious and very underhanded. Make sure that you ask and understand everything before signing the dotted line. The truck itself while clean had VERY loose steering and had problems with idling. We are honest, trusting people and in this case, we were taken advantage of. I regret not asking to speak to her superior. If I need these services again I will be going elsewhere. She turned into a real @#^% in a matter of seconds and seemed to enjoy being one.
JACOB LMy complaint is that the gas tank was not on full when I got in the truck, even though it was supposed to be. I ended up spending more on refueling than I should have and according to the gal she wasn’t sure if she would be able to adjust the fees on the mileage to reflect my overpayment.

CODY GIt would be helpful if there were instructions on how to operate the stero system. It took me 2 days to make a sound come out of the speakers. JUST SAYING !!!!!
JUDITH SSystem was down and even though we pre-registered and paid a deposit it took almost an hour to complete the process and get the truck, putting us behind schedule. Drop off was excellent in Sequim. We’ll go there again.
Jill KUpcharged me $85 for fuel and mileage. Tank wasn’t full to begin with. NOT COOL.

shanon wIt’s the same Uhaul as my youth! Except no pickup trucks. Cargo Vans are more efficient for our rainy climate anyway. A brand I will always use and depend on.

Booking online was great and the manager/reception of hometown self storage made the process almost effortless. Wish Uhauls pricing was a little lower but thats ok everything has gone up in price. I will definitely rent here again if I have the need.

darin nWell... Mandy was great. It turned out the pickup location was the same place we have a storage unit. So that was a plus. We returned the rental van the next day to Kelly, who is a sweetheart. The whole process was easy, the equipment was clean and in good working order, what can I say except Mandy and Kelly rocked. Now, the other part. Today, upon opening my email receipt, I found I was charged a rental rate of $89. When I was picking everything up the rental rate was $19.99. I'm sure when I talk to the girls tomorrow we'll find out what happened. This is something that occurred after pickup and drop-off and takes nothing away from the girls at Hometown Storage. Robert

Mickey DI’d like to see the vehicles having a full tank of gas at the beginning of the rental. This way I can just start moving without making an extra stop first, and I don’t have to try and figure out how much I need to put in to get it back to the level it was.

Jackie CThe self check in was completely frustrating. I am pretty tech savvy and I struggled with it. It was a Sunday. 10 am. I watched the video instructions the day before and NOWHERE did it give you warning that you might need to produce additional documents. Nowhere. Guys. You need to say that SOMEWHERE in the video. Imagine my surprise when a page popped up asking me for two additional items. Passport?? Really? I am moving!!! That is packed away. And I don’t have a lease agreement with me. So…I had to give two friends phone numbers. One was asleep. The other was driving and had spam blocker. One of your agents gave up and cut out on me…which left a page stating that I couldn’t be verified. Please wait to talk to someone. I can’t!!! It’s Sunday. I need to move today. So. I had to go through the whole system again. Call my friends. Wake one up. The other was frustrated. Why don’t you tell us that we should be prepared? It soured me on U-Haul for sure!!!

Hank BA great experience all around. Using the online process to reserve a truck was simple and straight forward. In calling Hometown self storage just to reassure I was all good to go I talked with Mandy and she was super friendly and helpful. Got all my questions answered and she even suggested a few things I hadn't thought of. In going to pick up the truck Rochelle was at the front desk. She was also great to interact with and very cheerful and made the process easy. I will say that in the past 2 years there haven't been many times I have been so extremely pleased with the customer service I have gotten from any place of business. And this has been the best in a very long time. Great Job
James PThe employee at Hometown Storage was very helpful and friendly.
WADE BOrdered 2 dozen blankets. Was given two bags. I assumed one dozen per bag. Once at the loading location discovered there’s six per bag. Fortunately at drop off location they didn’t hassle me over having only one dozen. It’s somewhat difficult getting out of their facility. End storage unit is close to the gate. The gate opening is fairly narrow. Haven driven a delivery truck in my youth, I was able to get out without incident. A regular joe could easily scrape the side of the truck if not paying close attention. Attendant at desk was pleasant.

PIETER BDo not charge the customer for fuel when they bring vehicle back with the same amount of fuel they left with. I think vehicles should be given to the customer with a absolutely full tank of fuel that way they will not be any lying about fuel levels on your franchises part.
ROBERT TDropped equipment off after hours, but it was so convenient and very easy to navigate through the app to turn in equipment
