I was originally supposed to pick up at air hydraulic on baumgartner industrial ,a after hours operation Your check in procedure was very flawed GPS would not allow me to check in The bar code scan would not recognize the scan The whole procedure was a disaster I will never do that again !!!!

The truck was clean but the smell of smoke in the cab and cargo was really bad. I had to spend time and money way to clean it so our furniture and I weren't permeated on the 980 mile trip. Clean otherwise.

Although the equipment was clean, there was a folder in the truck (I assume from the previous renter) that contained all of their rental information, including a copy of their drivers license and SS card. This seemed very unprofessional and raised concern about the security of renters information.

I got the job done but the truck I was in was not safe at all. It was all over the road and felt like the front end was going to fall apart. Not a pleasant move.

The online return option was surprisingly difficult. It required photo uploads. Because it was pouring down rain I didn't want to stand outside the vehicle and take pictures of the passenger and cargo compartments to prove it did not require cleaning before the next person could use it. As a result, I was charged a cleaning fee for a service that was likely not even completed.

They were very helpful after I was unable to get a truck at another location earlier that day.

The U-Haul website is useless! It could not find my location so I was unable to pick up my vehicle. The "scan bar code" didn't work either. I was on hold for more than half an hour without an answer. I had to wait for the store to open, making me late for my rental. I will not be using U-Haul again because I cannot pick up during non-business hours. The location is amazing. U-Haul has lost my business.

We had reserved a 19.99 truck in person. When we arrived they did not have one. They only had a 29.99 truck which we had to take as 3 families were involved in this move, timewise. That was frustrating, especially in these times where money is important. Personnel were kind and truck was in great shape.

I did not receive the vehicle I rented. Therefore I was given a box truck, which was bigger Than I needed. This vehicle cost more in fuel and sat up higher which was harder for me to get in and out of. I have medical issues so that's why I rented a smaller vehicle lower to the ground.

Important equipment reserved, a 2-wheel dolly and 4-wheel furniture mover, was not available at my scheduled pickup day/time, which complicated and Made my move much more difficult. At return, I wasn't fully refunded for both pieces of equipment. After a lengthy and frustrating process, I was told I'd have to make it right through UHaul. $7.00 is due at the very least. I hope yo get a refund so that I don't have to dispute the charge with my credit card company.

None of the employees had on masks. Every retailer out there is requiring them but not ACE. They seem to not care about the health of their customers but not only that they sent me to 3 different areas where I stood in line each time to be told to go somewhere else.

The U-Haul website only works sporadically and phone support is very poor (hold times of 20-30 minutes). "Chat" support is delayed and not helpful. I was given two Support phone numbers that were not being answered. Houska's ACE Hardware staff is friendly and helpful!

When I picked up the 9' van I rented, it wouldn't start. The agent at Houska's quickly exchanged the vehicle for a 10' truck and kept me on schedule. I was only charged the 9' van rate. I appreciate the friendly service at Houska's ACE Hardware. They always put the customer first.

I have rented U-Haul from Houska's many times. I've always been happy. However, this time: 1) The website/app didn't recognize my account. 2) I had to go in the store and finish the rental manually 3) The van I got wouldn't start. 3) I had to rent a second van and the keys they gave me weren't for the van I rented. 4) When I finally got the correct keys, I found the back of the van was dirty with mud, wood chips and trash. I had to spend a lot of time cleaning the van before putting my stuff in it.

I know it maybe a security thing, however if possible maybe have the customer do all or as much pre authorization before pick up using the mobile pick up. If our location wasn't open(which online showed the hours as being closed when I picked up hence the reason I had to choose mobile pick up) I would have been screwed as the online representative couldn't verify our info while we were picking up the uhaul.

The service and product is excellent. The app for checking in a vehicle is so buggy that I'm considering avoiding UHaul for truck rental in the future. Fix your buggy app, UHaul. I hate the experience of checking in a UHaul after hours with your app. Crashed on me four times before I gave up and dropped the keys in the return box. Not the first or second time this happened but might be the last. This is a corporate problem, not local.

GIRL DIDNT KNOW WHAT SHE WAS DOING VERY BAD SERVICE. HAD MAD APPOINTMENT TO PICKUP DOLLY TO TAKE JEEP BACK TO COLORADO THE GIRL DIDNT HAVE ALL WHAT WAS NEEDED, THEN SHE COULD NOT DO PAPER WORK FOR CREDIT CARD. TOOK OVER 5 HRS TO GET ON ROAD TO COLO.

The mobile app is kind of complicated as the sign in process took about 20 minutes ... it was slow when uploading photos ... luckily i had my son with me who was able to figure it out ... :)

The gas gauge didn't work properly when I got finished using the truck as I was putting gas in. When I got the truck it had 5/8 of a tank. I returned it with a full tank with no reimbursement.

When I was asked by the rep what time I would return the vehicle I said about 4 o'clock if all goes as planned. She said that I could leave drop the keys in the Dropbox after hours. I asked if there's an additional charge, she said no. I was charged for 2 rental days for turning the truck in after hours. Had I known I would have picked a later time. It's absurd I got charged for 2 days when I had the vehicle less than 12 hours.

The return link is a little bit confusing other than that Matt was awesome . Had reservations at a Tesson Ferry UHaul left seemed really shady . Found Jeffco one on Arnold Like I said Matt was Awesome .
