My confirmed reservation was with truckshare for pickup at 7am. They changed it to 10am without notifying me because they aren't open at 7am. Duh. Thats why I did the mobile access. They then tried to ding me for gas when I filled up what I used at the gas station literally sharing a parking lot with them. They eventually refunded the fuel. Total scam. It was an absolutely horrible service and I would definitely not recommend.Jennifer H.

I went through the website and picked the vehicle I knew would work. It told me I could pick it up at Ace hardware. They told me they didn't have it. Wish the site had told me that. I had to work much harder and couldn't finish my moving job thanks to the website.Jack H.

The drop off location was a small Ace Hardware store with no place to park a 26 ft truck in the front and no signs to show where to park. The store was busy and we felt we were an inconvenience for the workers there.PATRICK D.

I think the 15 foot trucks are probably a little to old to be on the road. This is the second time this summer I've rented one this size and both times the stearing mechanism feels very "loose". I would definitely not drive these trucks on the highway. By the way, I am female and don't feel comfortable driving a truck bigger than this size but if Uhaul can't or won't be buying new trucks of this size and I happen to need one in the future, then I might as well just hire a moving company to do the whole move for me. I explained the issue with the wrong truck listed on the contract and they said they would handle it. However, after I already explained to them what happened they still called me the next day and wondered why I had not turned the truck in that was listed incorrectly on the contract. 15'-truck was great one-day move as was Houskas. I had two issues not Houskas related: 1) radio speakers did not work. Not a huge deal but certainly, but not insignificant for five hours in one vehicle 2) wording on contract and at store key drop-off was insufficient to understand the necessary steps for self-return. There should have been all-cap notices that tell customer:. DO NOT LEAVE LOT OR DEPOSIT RETURN KEYS UNTIL ALL STEPS ARE MADE ONLINE INCLUDING REQURIED PFOTOS OF MILEAGE ON DASH, CAB AND TRUCK INTERIOR, AND SMART PHONE VALIDATION OF LOCATION. I had to return to the location to complete these steps. Return check in would have been impossible had I not photographed dash on my own prior to returning keys on initial visit. ,(If you do not complete mobile self check in yoy will be charged $20 next day to do so with a rep)Todd V.

Have a U-Haul available when you have rented it out for a certain time and don't change it from a 24/7 pick up to a hand transaction the morning of rental. Call them and give new customer heads up that U-Haul won't be there in the morning like expectedRick B.

The van smelled like cigarette smoke it was so bad that I had to run it with the windows down. When I arrived the van wasn't ready for me according to the instructions and I had to run around looking for it. It was just a hassle that I didn't need. The truck was clean but the smell of smoke in the cab and cargo was really bad. I had to spend time and money way to clean it so our furniture and I weren't permeated on the 980 mile trip. Clean otherwise.Ty V.
