I am a corporate customer I made a reservation before I came. The person who processed the reservation did not know how to process a corporate reservation so she canceled it make a personal reservation instead. 1 and 1/2 the cost. The truck was quite dirty I had to clean it before using it. The gas recorded left in the truck was greater than what was actually in the truck and because the person did not understand how to process commercial accounts she kept me waiting 50 minutes although she was not occupied at the time and the store was quite at 6:50-7:45 pm that I left the store. I will try again with them in the future perhaps they can get their act together.STEWART R.

Clean the truck cabin. It was filthy with remains if food and drinks. The dashboard was sticky. In the cargo area, there were some prices of wood and other small items.Dmitry G.

Make sure appointment is scheduled during a time when someone is working customer service. I had flexibility to come earlier than my appointment and chose to do that so i wouldn't risk someone not showing up right at 8am even though the store was open it wasn't clear if someone would be able to help me that early on New Year's day. otherwise excellent service - they moved the appt up for me and everything went smoothly.Jessica M.

The van was delivered without telling the customer that the tire light was on and there was a damaged windshield. The van was delivered clean, with a full tank of gas, and otherwise in good working order. The delivery and return was quick and easy.Howard C.

We chose our location online that was a lot closer to the house not 45 mins away. We were called a day before saying that location was not available after booking 3 weeks in advance. We also confirmed at this location that we could drop the truck off before 6pm the next day without getting charged.charles G.

The pick up time on the website says they are open at 7am, when really the location for U-Haul apparently doesn't open until 8am. I placed an order for a dolly and didn't receive one and I ended up getting charged for 2 days.Gilian B.

The whole experience was a giant headache. We had a 7 am reservation. The food store doesn't open till 7 (really 10 minutes after 7). Then the manager told me he could not accommodate me till 8. I practically had to beg to get him to to find someone to help us. We were interested in some moving blankets.. none were available to us. When returned the truck they called it â€œlateâ€ and charged us an extra 20 dollars. It was not a good experience.Michael O.

I rented a car from Ideal Food Basket - (25435), 856 Merrik Rd, Baldwin, NY 11510. I have informed U-Haul representative that I will pick up a Van from them and after 4-5 hours will return it in Bronx, NY. I was charged $75. Same day I returned it in Bronx, NY (230 W, 230th street, Bronx, NY, 10463). When I returned the Van, I was informed by the U-Haul officer that I should return the Van at the same place where I picked up the Van, i.e at the Ideal Food Basket - (25435), otherwise they will charge me additional fee (around $150). I complained as I clearly explained to the U-Haul representative where I will drop off the car, i.e. in Bronx, NY (230 W, 230th street, Bronx, NY, 10463). Moreover, I tried to call to the customer service three times, after waiting around ten minutes each time a made a call, I could not reach anybody from the customer service. In order to save time and additional fee for the gas and additional miles I have decided to drop of the Van in Bronx and they charge me $190. This means that I was charged for the mistake of the U-Haul representative, where I picked up the Van. I sent an email to the U-Haul, but they never replied. I would probably use another services in the future.Aldan S.

Not a real uhaul place. It was at a supermarket where everyone speaks Spanish. Clerk tried to be helpful but took nearly 45 minutes to check me in. No dolly, no hand truck, no pads !! Waited around for over an hour. Then told me if I want a dolly I had to go to another uhaul place just to get a dolly. This all took over an hour and a half. I also checked to make sure that I have the best available insurance policy and I was clearly told that I do have the best policy coverage offered. Then I was charged for blankets and a hand truck that I never received. I only got the hand truck. Honestly this was absolutely the worst rental experience that I ever had in my life!Alan L.

Don't use this place anymore. They are not equipped to handle UHaul customers. I had to wait 30 min on the Supermarket's customer service line that had only one person working the counter. They were not trained on how to handle a U-Haul customer and was on the phone with a U-Haul rep the entire time. My pre-check in was useless at this location and had to do everything from scratch. I rent trucks for work from time to time and I LOVE Uhaul. When renting from an actual UHAUL location, I am in and out under 10 min. I will not rent from UHaul again that only has trucks available at these offsite locations.Joe G.
